Hi ed, I watched it on TV today, couldn't go coz skint lol. Pundits were same as normal, doubting leeds all the time. I thought we were good in first half but seem to run out of ideas in the second. first of all great start for the boys today just the result i expected no one can deny that under grayson we could of crumbled but to watch our boys giving their all for 90 mins just a breath of fresh air cant remember feeling so comfortable watchin a leeds team for god knows how long im over the moon really cant express how well the team worked for each other they all deserve a pat on the back in my eyes congrats to the boys god they done us proud and i also want to thank the fello leeds fans that gave their full support for the boys today hats off to ye all ye were absolutely fabulous today keep elland road rockin lads b4 long team will be crapping themselves coming to elland road! far cry form last season fully deserved the 3 points today! im over the moon!

Some are boos i had practically the full row directly behind me so i think i could tell if they were booing or not with having them literally in my ear, they soon stopped though when i turned round and called them embarrassments lol i said to them im sure you used to boo vinnie jones all time and cantona when they played for leeds did you? i think not so why do it for Diouf but apart from that the fans were far far more positive and much better atmosphere than last season. Very promising start loved Pearces challenge when he got the ball and the ball went all the way from like the edge of our area to the edge of theres lol.
Original poster here I meant the people who booed him against Shrewsbury! I'm a northern Irish Leeds fan and watched game on tv didnt hear any booing! Just think that when some players in our team was panicking a bit he brought the ball down and tried to run the ball out and play a bit of football! Very happy with EHD signing

We could really go places but a leach will always hold you back. For now, i'm just concentrating on giving the team my full support. Hopefully the rest will take care of its self.

Have to say if I could have any Wolves player at ER it would be Matt Jarvis. Pace, intelligence and close control - way too good for this division. Only Wolves player who looked a real threat. Thought Byram had the hardest job today and came out with a lot of credit.

though leeds were quality today! the first hour was very enjoyable and we were undeniably the better side! however even after a hour although we had the lesser of possession we certainly still looked solid at the back. Best defending i have seen by leeds in years! All the players looked very good and exceptionally fit. The only player that i was impressed by was Luke Varney, im afraid after the first half, he made frequent mistakes, and looked a class lower than player like Diouf!

Jason Pearce was quality today. About time we got a decent CB. The whole back 4 looked solid today. Austin is a legend after his first game. Cant complain about anyone today. Also the fans seemed to take a liking to diouf. sign him up.
Spot on . Remember last season and every time the opposition came in to our half we thought they would score. We looked solid throughout today. Much better for the nerves. Thought Warnock showed great experience in packing the midfield for the last 15 or so minutes . Up to the Lees substitution Wolves had enjoyed their best period of the game. Lees introduction brought about a stalemate.

I think Diouf looked a cut above at times today. He has that level of flair that is required in the squad, his ability to hold up the ball, control and gall to be a quality addition to the team. Although he did look a bit away from match fitness. Definitely deserves a contract.

Not a rumour, but listening to 606 we are getting some nice support. Mainly about how we looked like a unit straight away unlike QPR, bet they wished theyd held onto Kenny now.

not taking anything away from the lads, it was a decent debut showing for a brand new team. but if Warnock decides to park the bus like that on a regular basis he's going to lose us points. we'll be looking at a lot of draws from winnable games. we still need a creative midfield player, ideally who can also play on either wing.
We didnt park the bus, we played wolves off the park, mccormack and becchio caused all sorts of problems, stop complaining
Think we should all trust warnock and what he is trying to do at the club it may not to be fast flowing football we would all like to see but who really cares as long has we get promoted thats the main thing Dale mot4ever!
You say park the bus, however we still created opportunities and missed a guilt edge chance when Varney was put through. You have to remember the calibre of opposition we played today, minus Fletcher and O'hara this is the team that played for Wolves in the premier league last year. With Sam making Jarvis look more like a 800K Winger than an 8 million pound one. His tactics were spot on today.

That was the strongest i have seen Leeds play for a long time. At no point did i feel we were going to be in danger of coming away from the game with anything else than 3 points. Every player had a good game & were willing to fight for the team (Varney almost literally ).
All the players should be very pleased with their performance, especially Ross, Austin & the exciting prospect Byrom. I also thought Diouff played well too & his control of the ball was excellent.
We have definitely moved in the right direction & i was proud of the team today.

BTW Austin looks like he's going to be a legend.

It was great to see Diouf be applauded and not boo'ed, because he was fantastic today, he is a very clever footballer and deserves a chance in the White Shirt! Great result today I actually though before the game we might win 3-0 Wolves didn't seem interested today we were miles the netter side.
Some great debuts I must say Varney for me was my man of the match.
Byram started very dodgy but I think all the Leeds fans within Elland Road today can pat themselves on the back for the support he was given without that I think Jarvis would have destroyed him.
I know Peltier isn't a centre back but I'm afraid he's also definitely not even a make shift centre half he was all over the shop Pearce (another great debut) carried him through the game but he did look a lot more comfortable and in control at right back.
Well done to all the rest of the lads making debuts.
Oh yeah by the way Ross and Luciano could well be the best strike pairing in the Championship.
Overall very happy but not getting carried away i still see us struggling for playoffs this season hope I'm miles wrong.

Takeover was set to be announced before the game today but some slight legal hitches have meant that the announcement will have to wait for a couple more days. Warnock however is happy about this as he was a bit worried that any announcement before the game would cause the players to loose some of there focus and also he wants the crowd cheering on the players not chanting about new owners/abuse at KB now he's leaving. Gutted i'm not there today as it's set to be an awesome atmosphere, but will be cheering the lads on while serving at the bar.
It was never gonna be announced today.
I'm sure that really what's happened.sick of ppl lying they all know nothing just keep guessing so they can say see I told you.
Guess enough and you will eventually get it right.

Cant wait to get going but I feel we need a new signature fans move to bind us all together and create some solidarity. The Leeds salute seems to have gone, the bear chested champions of Europe at half time gone too, the days of the v haircut a faded memory, going mental on the lop extra dictated by the introduction of seats. Well i'm well up for it this season. That doesn't mean i've not been other times but things look a dam site better this time around.
I don't think we could be playing wolves at a better time than this, half the players wanting out and a manager that needs to keep a sinking ship togeather. All this without a single shred of know how, for this league and what it entails.
This is are time to be counted, are time to stand up and people take notice. I couldn't think of a better place to start the season, then at Elland Road.
We will give these lads 100% of a voice, heart and soul. For we are Leeds United and we will rule supreme. So lets all stand asa one and sing for Leeds.
Ill go with a 2-1 victory, with maccormack getting first goal, followed up by a sweet strike from Diouf with 20 mins to go. Wolves will score near the end but only by luck that is.
