Wonder what Bielsa's plan is for Sunday in terms of set piece and corner defense? Not trying to be disrespectful or wish anything adverse but Maguire must fancy his chances of scoring. Let me search for the soap and water.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

18 Dec 2020 15:29:17
yeah I said same to mate, harry Maguire must be dreading the thought of defending against us but rubbing his hands together and think he could be on course for a hat trick on Sunday.

18 Dec 2020 15:33:04
Think it will be a niggly game George, Alioski trying to test the patience of one or two of their players. I have a feeling there will be be plenty of incidents, VAR, who knows a sending off maybe. Just hope we come out of it with a result, preferably a win. Iā€™m certain slabhead will try to score from set pieces, we just have to unbalance him without giving away a penalty.

Just seen the tv listings for January. Seems we are on 5 times thro the month. No more "Dirty Leeds" the team to hate. Everybody wants to see our swashbuckling football.

Yeah.
They want to see us lose as much as win.
You closet northerners need to get out. Wake up.
I donā€™t give a toss what non leeds supporters think.
Itā€™s just media fodder to them.
No heart. No allegiance. They will say. Well Keegan tried it and it didnā€™t work etc etc
Donā€™t get above our station

to be honest men over 50 hate leeds but all people my age (late 30's) loved the o'lkeary team and most now love the current team. I don't think we are hated loads of strangers have seen me walking about with leeds badge and said glad you are back welcome home etc.

Agree2 Disagree0

18 Dec 2020 19:41:12
Yes you are hated chum, you need to speak to people beyond the borders of Leeds, a real shock awaits you.

Agree1 Disagree0

18 Dec 2020 20:42:43
Well said Bermo. Over here in Ireland I havenā€™t met anyone whoā€™s not happy Leeds are back even Man U fans.
Iā€™m knocking on fifty and never saw the so called dirty Leeds team only entertaining Wilko Oā€™Leary sides mixed with plenty of not so good teams. But now we have it back and more, a team who entertains and in the next few years will be collecting trophies. And a manager even though it can be hard work listening to his talks due to translation makes us proud and sometimes leaves a lump in my throat. MOT.

Agree2 Disagree0

18 Dec 2020 20:39:08
was that aimed at me VD because I live in Bermondsey south east London so knowhere near leeds, I have been spat at, shouted and at even got in to fights just for wearing my teams badge so there is no shock for me. however recently there has been a lot of love for the club. even from Millwall fans

see most people like villa and Birmingham. just going there makes me feel better about my life. i'm could be dying of the most hidious desiea in the world and think. yeah but at least i'm not from Brummie land.

18 Dec 2020 21:09:33
Bermo your Mrs sounds like a right tough bird!

Agree1 Disagree0

18 Dec 2020 21:28:55
No it was not aimed at you, it is a response to your comment about your club, you seem to think they are not disliked, when in fact they are.
I have friends in Dorset, London, Liverpool, Somerset, Wales, Newcastle and East Anglia, and guess what, Leeds are not popular.
And love as you call it from Millwall fans of all people, is no great accolade is it now, they even hate each other.
The rest of your post is not worth an answer to be honest.

Agree0 Disagree0

18 Dec 2020 23:57:22
Good, we like being hated. Nice that people care enough to hate. Teams from Brum don't register enough interest or notice to be hated, they just hate each other.

Villa Dave

Just because you have friends that "hate" Leeds United, are you really saying that all the world hates Leeds?

I am not going to get emotive about this as in reality what you, your friends, or even the rest of the world thinks isn't that relevant to us Leeds fans, but I am curious

The world, 8 billion souls. hate Leeds

The UK, 67 million. hate Leeds

England, 57 million. hate Leeds

Nah, can't see it somehow

So are we talking football fans?
I live south of Manchester, drink with 2 West Ham fans, 1 Geordie, 1 City fan, 2 Man Utd fans and 2 to 3 Liverpool fans (depending if his wife let's him out) . To a man they wanted Leeds back in the PL. To a man they love the football that Bielsa has created. To a man they look forward to our matches against them. And they all have said that it's the same for all their friends. I know it's not a vast poll but I have not heard anyone 'hate' Leeds United. However I will admit I can't understand the Brummie accent so maybe I just haven't understood what they're saying. I tend to glaze over once one of you guys starts grunting

Anyway, this Hottub won't look after itself, got to get out and fill the Processo End back up.

See you layer VD.

I am not saying the whole world, I am talking the football fraternity, and I also wanted Leeds back in the prem, no question.
Look at the stats fella, type in Englands most hated football clubs, hey presto "LEEDS"
And your fans do care, that`s why we are discussing this point.

Villa Dave

Only you need to explain your posts. No one else on this site writes in such a childish manner, which I find difficult to decipher.

I did as you said, typed 'most hated fans' and it came out as Chelsea

Maybe you should research your points, then ask a grown up to read it and edit it.

Im hearing several comments being made about us dipping into the January transfer market for another striker as back up for and competition for Bamford. Canā€™t see this happening in any shape or form, it was the reason that the versatile Rodrigo was brought in to cover for him, if and when Paddy goes off the boil or gets injured.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

18 Dec 2020 07:17:05
And also the two lads from u23 would be good for a try in a game or two.

Agree0 Disagree0

18 Dec 2020 09:33:54
And Jan available striker signings are either out of form or injured. Then the time it takes to get into our training and methods. Agree with OP and Aus.

Agree1 Disagree0

18 Dec 2020 10:56:10
agree with whites jan signing are pointless as by the time they are belisa fit the season is over

this said a left back and CB to replace Cooper is a must surely?

Agree0 Disagree0

18 Dec 2020 10:57:35
French football is in a right financial state, might be a few bargins to be had, don't condone under paying for players due to club being stink, intact boll###s, do it as it was done to us.

Agree1 Disagree0

18 Dec 2020 15:32:39

as one ex player and businessman said to me. morals are great if you can afford them.

Agree1 Disagree0

18 Dec 2020 20:40:02
Bermo I agree that jan recruits are useless fir the current season, but think you miss the point which is the long game - jan recruits are for next season not this season. Bielsa doesnā€™t do knee jerk transfers unless they are forced upon him by others who are panicking.

18 Dec 2020 05:25:55
Congratulations to JĆ¼rgen Klopp, he is without doubt the best coach on the planet right now, Iā€™m also sure his story is going to continue and will go down in the history books. I wonder if heā€™ll ever take on the German national team position?
Loweā€™s very long tenure is looking a bit sketchy lately!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

18 Dec 2020 06:39:27
Yes but is that to do with lack of players? Klopp is still young for a manager and seems to love club management so can't see a switch anytime soon.

Agree0 Disagree0

18 Dec 2020 10:57:56
I always say you get managers like mournino and Wilkinson who use there squad to get the best results

then you have coaches like Pep and belisa who get best out of players but don't always get the best results

Klopp is a hybrid. what an amazing manager and coach, he brings players on gets the best out of the them and is tactically good enough to get the best results possible (on the whole)

Agree0 Disagree0

18 Dec 2020 11:00:06
Yes I agree Klopp is a very good manager but having a v large transfer kitty to solve any problem helps. For me the best manager is languishing in Div 4 (league 2) or even lower. Driving the bus, marking the pitch, washing the kit and planning the game. My hat goes off to all of you staff out there, loyal thro thick and thin. Merry Christmas to all of you.

Agree0 Disagree0

18 Dec 2020 15:34:58
agree leodis,

cant remember who now but one manager in league one got his team promoted with no money and only 12 players on first day of training (think it was Wycombe wanders) that is a proper manager

said time and again in recent seasons best manager has been Chris Wilde, he took a team l16th in league one to 6th in prem in two seasons with no money what so ever and even got billy Sharpe scoring in the prem. that is a class act and amazing job even if they go down this year as they had no right to be there.

Agree0 Disagree0

18 Dec 2020 23:59:28
Are you talking about Hockaday Leodis and Bermo?

Agree0 Disagree0

18 Dec 2020 23:59:57
I think Flick is better, but Louis van Gaal is the best of all.

Agree0 Disagree0

17 Dec 2020 23:35:08
George reckons 34 is safe. What do others think? I'm going 42.
Once the relegation scrap begins mid table teams lose interest so always extra points to be got or given away.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

18 Dec 2020 06:39:43
Yeah 42 historically.

Agree0 Disagree0

18 Dec 2020 07:48:14
The last 5 years the highest safe point tally was 39, it's usually around the 36 mark, so for me ill go for 38.

Agree1 Disagree0

18 Dec 2020 10:47:33
I've always worked on the premise that you deserve to go down if you can't average 1pt per game, so 38+ should be enough.

Agree0 Disagree0

18 Dec 2020 10:55:06
George predictions are often wide of the mark.

I think to finish above 18th a team will need 39 or 40 points.

Agree0 Disagree0

18 Dec 2020 10:58:55
I'd say 37 maybe be ok, (10 to be above the blunts) and šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚,

hard to call as this is such an unpredicatble season

worrying West Brom have got my fav big sam. he will give a good crack at keeping them up

shelf utd and Fulham look done for but could improve as for the rest it is impossible;e to say

got to say very disappointed we are talking about relegation and looking over shoulder. look at what sheff Utd and wolves did first season in prem. money we spent we should be looking at top 7 not bottom 3.

Agree0 Disagree0

18 Dec 2020 11:02:12
I will work on 42, just so I can breathe easily. My old heart just can't take the strain anymore.

Agree0 Disagree0

18 Dec 2020 11:15:36
