Use our rumours form to send us leeds transfer rumours.

Our Potless Bahrainian board members were seeking a good exchange rate for Pound Stirling so they could boost their coffers before cashing in.

Not, as has been reported were Leeds United looking to Loan Liverpool lightweight Raheem Sterling.

I heard this from the man cashing in his 2p's at the coin machine at Morley Asda.

For all the people posting on rumours and banter.

Can we clear one thing up please its ADKINS - not ATKINS!

And I have it on the authority of my next door neighbours cat flap fitter that its Brian McDermott that will be our next boss as he is cheaper then ADKINS.

Would prefer Nigel myself, more personality but he was backed heavily at the Saints not sure the potless Bahrainians have the money to bankroll a spending spree. {Ed013's Note - Stop picking people's spelling mistakes up, we know what people are talking about. It is petty and against the sites rules}

Believable6 Unbelievable2

Well said De 13 {Ed013's Note - Just the rules mate, people should come on here without being under the spotlight for spelling, this isn't GCSE English!!!}

If, and I mean IF, we get Nigel Adkins as manager, I reckon he could/should go for these players.

Richard Chaplow
Jos Hooivled/Jose Fonte
Guly do Prado
Marlon King
Adam Hammill
Jack Cork
James Vaughan

Believable0 Unbelievable14

Erm?

Are you sure?

That 25% of the Saints squad who will all be on premier league money and they look like staying up!

King has been here before and was rubbish then and why oh why would we want James Vaughan!

Hammill is over rated and not delivered anywhere except Barnsley!

We should be looking at young talent that will command a fee if we sell on so we can build ourselves back up. Not sighing over paid ex premier league players.

Agree10 Disagree1

Hooivled, fonte and cork are the only ones I would take! we could get better players then them premiership rejects

Agree0 Disagree0

Even saints fans think do prado is pants. Cortese bought him, not adkins.
I think Chaplow would be worth a shout though, good engine and no slow coach

the mere fact that Warnock remains in charge proves one thing. there is no plan to build this football club up. any other side would have brought in a new man already to shake things up over the summer.

Believable6 Unbelievable5

18 Mar 2013 19:37:00
Warnock is going at end of the season so there will be a new manager in the summer. There's plenty of time to shake things up in pre season. Gfh basically have 2 to 3 months to find a new manager.

i think paolo di canio should be next leeds manager because he's like all us leeds fans, passionate football fan and he won't let the players do what they want

troopylufc!

Believable18 Unbelievable18

I can't help but agree with the OP, yes Di canio can be a loose cannon but its perhaps just what is needed, the media love him which in turn brings in sponsors because of the coverage added to that is his contacts in Italy (Watford ain't done bad)

Agree6 Disagree8

No thanks, too volatile.

Agree10 Disagree5

18 Mar 2013 20:56:36
He may be volatile, but he must also be one hell of a motivator. He did one hell of a job at Swindon which nobody can argue with. I am not saying he should get the job but I for one would not be complaining if he did.

Agree8 Disagree1

18 Mar 2013 16:17:53
To be honest I would love to see either Atkins of Di Canio as Leeds United manager, but I think Atkins will go to Reading so I think we should go for Di Canio.

dundee white here 10 of us get 2 most games so think we know when it"s time 4 a change the feeling from us is nows that time, we got our heads together in the pub last night put ten names in the hat, looked at each man in turn the results were as follows joe jordan 6 votes adkins 3 votes poyet 1 vote over to you boys post back who"s your choice and why oh and what do you think of our vote result mot

Believable2 Unbelievable6

Wouldn't it be funny if the GFH media consultant was reading leeds banter and then saw all the agrees for Enoch and then tomorrow Enoch comes in on loan with a view to signing him

Agree3 Disagree3

18 Mar 2013 21:28:15
I find your votes very interesting Dundee and would like to hear more regarding the overwhelming choice of Joe Jordan. I have been thinking about Joe myself for a while on the basis of experience and knowledge of the game. I feel he would he a very good option. I am a little surprised how few votes were given to Adkins and Poyet as I feel alongside Brian McDermott they should be the most likely targets. Overall I think as Joe is probably happier to see out his day's with Harry then Poyet is probably the best long term option, he knows the club and the expectation of the fans and I don't think this will phase him. He seems tactically aware and has put together a very capable squad at Brighton and I would be happy for him to bring Liam Bridcutt, CMS and Ashley Barnes with him. All this providing Brighton do not get promoted of course.

Agree1 Disagree1

Enoch for player-manager. Problem solved.

:D

Could never forgive Jordon for when he left us then took his mate with him

I hate the but if jordan could get us up I can forgive and forget look what stracs did 4 us or have you forgot

Not trying to be nostalgic or anything, but what are the chances in Lucas Radebe having a shot at management? I'd at the very least have him on our coaching staff, couldn't think of anyone better to pass on not only the skills but also the pride.

He stated a few years ago he wouldn't consider management as his wife has cancer and they spend a lot of time in africa. But it would be amazing to have "the chief" back at elland road.

we might as well give some of the kids a chance now, give dawson and that a chance in the first team see what they can do, god knows they can't do much worse.

Believable13 Unbelievable0

First thing I'd like to see is Poleon back at Elland Road where WE need him, rather over in Sheffield where Warnock thinks he should be?

Just sheer stupidity!

Poleon?
He's got the wrong attitude and struggling to score in the league below.
I wouldn't expect much from him

Just my opinion. after 40+ years supporting Leeds

On Warnock
yes he got things wrong, player selections, tactics etc

However what did he have to deal with no funds for transfers, salarys being paid by GFH before takeover, the longest takeover in history.

So how do you motivate the players during that ever changing situation, how many lesser experienced managers could deal with that. some walk out due to no transfer funds. with another manager we may be fighting against relegation and yes we may have been contending for the play-offs.

The squad or team is not good enough for automatic promotion - we all know that.

GFH
Now we will see what their intention really is, yes good PR around season ticket prices and they are trying to be open by stating how much is owed in advanced season ticket sales.
Also sets a public expectation of low transfer funds etc.

New Manager for next season
With the restraints and cash flow issues, lots will not want this hot seat.

However what we need is. a young manager who has passion and who can gets the team playing.

Leeds Young Players
Give them a chance now. if the play -offs are not going to happen. Blood the young players over the last 8 or 9 games

Look at the 12. 53 post on Now from STV!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Sorry that should read Now

As I said sorry Now. It must be catching Five Live have just announced that the Leeds striker Ross McCormack has pulled out of the Scotland squad. What?

What is stv? and what does it say

Ed! Am I forbidden from typing the name of my beloved football team? {Ed013's Note - Please explain?}

Twice today I have tried to type the
(2) words of my beloved football team followed by the words news now (as in the website). Twice I have been barred! What I was trying to say is that both STV and now Five Live are reporting that Leeds striker Ross McCormack has pulled out of the Scotland squad! I do wish they would keep up! {Ed013's Note - It didn't come through mate}

I think Adkins is a done deal its just a matter of when, I was speaking to a Scunthorpe fan the other day and he said the man is a genious and would get us up but would need funds to do it and that would be the problem.

Believable4 Unbelievable5

It's now being reported that Adkins is being lined up by Leicester who are considering Nigel Pearsons future due to recent poor results. Come on Leeds make him an offer he can't refuse.

Can we just get some things into perspective now please. A huge series of events has ruined our season. let's begin.

- Talk of a takeover pre -season, gives LUFC fans and NW fresh hopes of a good transfer window.

-KB drags on takeover talks by changing the goalposts multiple times, NW subsidises this by bringing in good 'For now' players.

-NW employs a hoofball tactic which does not appeal to our fans, understandably, but my opinion is NW was not confident in his players in the first place.

- KB continues to drag heels and therefore means GFH-C originally pull out of the deal.

-Deal renewed late december time supposedly just intime for the january Market.

-NW renounces his desire to retire end of the season if he does not gain promotion, which in turn makes GFH-C think twice about handing him high amounts of money for a team not guarenteed for promotion anyway.

-NW continues to make poor tactical decisions, late substitutes, poor formations etc.

To summarise this, basically, the problem starts from Ken Bates, he decided to completely destroy this club for his own benefit, NW has proven he can get promoted with the right resources, but with the wrong resources, he is not a good man manager. Leeds United, in my opinion, won't be promoted this season and NW will walk, I then beleive a new manager will take his place and get given a good war chest to start from scratch, a bulk sum and then whatever he gains from dead wood removals etc.

This season has been a waste, a season that should and will be written off. let's keep the faith for this season, I have every faith in GFH-C and believe they will do their best to get us promoted by supporting our manager, whomever that may be next season.

MOT

Believable13 Unbelievable2

Completely agree here and all we can hope for is GHF-C's plan to get us back to where we're meant to be. With this season more or less gone that means they'll have to invest in the summer to see us promoted, then invest again to see us back where we should be in the premiership. This is going to be a tough task considering the kind of players we'll need and having just been promoted the appeal to these players won't be as great.

One more thing though. I think when it's mathematically impossible for us to get into the top 6 we must play our youth players to evaluate how good they are and where they should be come the new season (loan/sold/subs bench/reserves)

Listening to Warnock I don't think he wants to be in charge any more, on about talking to the next managers for the job and also he doesn't know if he will be in charge for Ipswich game.
