Is anyone else at all concerned by the lack of goals by Keogh? His record indicates a 1 in 6 at this level and although he has many positive attributes, isn't a forward's main job to score goals? He has missed several sitters and really has no goal threat at all from the games ive been at.

Believable4 Unbelievable3

When ross is banging them in im happy for keogh to do all the work

Agree3 Disagree0

Totally agree - he won't be starting many more games for us. He's done the grafting job while Becchio's been unfit but he'll never be a goalscorer.

Agree2 Disagree1

Hate it that some people really don't understand the beautiful game, we probably would be in the bottom three if we didn't have him, he's just a Heskey type player all the flick ons get won, someone big and strong to hold the ball up, I'm more concern with Nunez he only has one foot he wants to be on his right so much it's unbelievable, we have scored more with Keogh than we would of without him. Try watching and understanding football more there is more to a forward than goals

Agree4 Disagree1

As long as McCormack is profiting from Keoghs work rate I'm happy with the guy. He did miss a one on one of Saturday that should have been finished, but still he's doing an OK job. I'd like to see Forrsel given a go from the off. I do like his movement, you can tell the guy is an international.

Agree2 Disagree0

Dont be daft, he wasnt brought in to score, he was brought to the club to set Ross up. He isnt a goalscorer, SG said so, we just neede a strike partner for RMc cos thats the only way he scores, in a pair rather than a lone striker. Keogh is doing the job he was brought in to do...so Im happy with his contribution

Agree2 Disagree1

Why do you complain He works hard and he is a sought player that sets players up

Agree0 Disagree1

Some people make me laugh...thats a fine philosophy if you want to be a mid table mediocre team. What happens when Ross has a bad patch..no contribution form the forwards then? Hesley was only tolerated for so long...and then slated for his goals record hence dropped. Forwards have to score ultimately if you want to be automatic promotion contenders. You need 2 forwards scoring goals each 15-20 a season. I wasn't at all saying he does'nt contribute and doesn't work hard, he is a good technical player but to me just doesn't look like he will score...at all! Anyway pretty academic soon as Lucianooo will be back up there and he certainly will score!

the reason we have not loaned in any players as yet is cos we making sure we have them through the xmas period, if we had av got them in b4 now we would have lost them at a vital time, the emergency loan window only gives players 90+ days at the club that loans them. so a possible smart move from SG, But time will tell on that one......M.O.T

i can't help thinking that nunez is only in the team for the short run and when we bring pugh in he will be used as an impact player which he is good at, he useless on the wing and he certainly isn't good enough atm to take mcormack, becchio or keoghs postion.

Believable4 Unbelievable2

The lad's getting a bit of unfair stick at the minute. As you say he's being played out of position on the wing. I think it speaks volumes regarding how highly SG rates Lloyd Sam.

Agree2 Disagree0

Yeah I know don't get me wrong i like the lad and not criticising him because he's out of position but i just don't think he's good enough on the wing and thing grayson should be doing everything, expect 2 loan signings next week

I've been indifferent to the whole Bates V 'Morons' row. I smiled at the poor display of supposed protest the other week at Billy's statue and I've chuckled at the occasional protest song in the ground waiting to be taken up by the masses but failing dismally.
However, today I was finally nudged closer to adding my own voice to the anti-Bates campaign when I found out that next Tuesday all season ticket holders and club members have been barred from using their own facilities i.e. the Centenary Pavilion. The reason? It has been reserved for corporate customers! in other words, the core support of our club has been trampled over in favour of occasional visitors!
'Bates Out'? I don't know, but I'd certainly like a chat face to face!

You have the ability to boycott the Pavillion in future, why not do so? This is entirely different to boycotting the games.....

(1)
Do you not understand? it's not about 'boycotting' the pavillion, it's about using the resource that has supposedly been provided for the real fans, those of us who attend all of the home games and a fair proportion of away matches too! As it is we've lost over half of the premises space to the corporate 'fans' as Bates' £6m East Stand boxes aren't ready yet! Lots of families use this facility every home game and without any warning after we've all bought our tickets for the Man U game we're suddenly told that we have been kicked out! where is the loyalty to the real fans?

I have a strange feeling about the scum game, I reckon Leeds 2-1 scum, McCormack and snoddy

Believable4 Unbelievable0

You must come from the planet Zog,100% effort and a respectable scoreline, think most fans be happy, theyre on fire man,he could put 3 sides out and each one would beat us,sad but true.

Agree2 Disagree3

I've been to Carrington & witnessed Man U's youth & reserves play. Trust me, if we defend in our usual inept way we're looking at a cricket score! It'll be a good atmosphere though!

Agree1 Disagree3

Sick of reading all this "they're going to get a cricket score" b****cks from supposed Leeds fans. We went to old scaffold with a League One side, and after hearing a lot of their "fans" saying they'd beat us by 5 or 6 with their reserves, we were unlucky to only beat them by one - and it was far from their reserve side.

If we all get behind the lads in white for 90 mins (and ffs let's forget about Bates for one match) you just never know what might happen. If we lose, we lose, but let's not give up before we've even reached the day of the match.

Right, a few games into the new season and we have some new faces, A self centered chairman, an un-supported manager, one the weakest and dis-organised defences in the league and the worst discipline record in the entire country. And the one shining light is our capability to score goals. De ja vu anyone?

Believable3 Unbelievable1

After watching the Liverpool game today I doubt our disciplinary record can be anywhere near that bad?? {Ed001's Note - you know that is Liverpool's first sendings off in the league since Dalglish returned? Bit like buses, you wait all that time for one and then two come along at once!}

think leeds fans should get off nunez' back and consider this is not his position and get behind ramon and the boys inestead of moaning! MoT

Believable4 Unbelievable1

Totally agree, why the hell are we kicking our players in any case??

We are Leeds, are we not??

Lets get behind the players, not on their backs??

It was a poor goal kick from Lonergan that led to the sending off,it only just made the halfway line and went straight to one of Bristol City's players, saying that our defence where so slow following the goal kick up the pitch it was inviting The inevitable.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

The goal kick didn't affect Paddy's awful tackle at all.

Agree0 Disagree0

If the defence had cleared it's line quick enough there striker would have been offside.

Agree1 Disagree0

Has Kisnorbo not fouled him, maynard would probably have scored

Agree1 Disagree0

And we would have still had 11 men.

Agree0 Disagree0

Still won didnt we?

Was S.G right all along using Nunez as an impact player..
The last two starts have resulted in his substitution and he never gets in the game from the off - maybe time to give Sam a run..! not knocking Nunez he's quality, but maybe off the bench..?

MOT

Believable6 Unbelievable0

Nunez just cannot play out on the wing like Gradel, he is so right footed he's got one trick and could stop him crossing, but put him in the middle and he's capable of scoring from anywhere as proven. Aidy White needs to go out there, defenders don't like speed.

i think kisnorbo's sending off will be a blessing in disguise. He will miss next game and that is the time to put lees or bromby at centre back. kis is now officially the weakest link .

Believable5 Unbelievable4

I agree Paddy has been very poor this season. O'Dea and Paddy didn't win a header yesterday.

So we won again but didn't particularly play well according to some. A few weeks back we completely outplayed West Ham, in my opinion, and only got a draw. You don't always get what you deserve but in football but it's good to get a win whatever the circumstances.... keep the faith, we're getting stronger!

Believable5 Unbelievable1

Who ever said we were playing poorly clearly werent watching the same first half as me, because we should of been 4 up

Kisnorbo looked Leggy and a yard off the pace yesterday,Can't say O'dea looked to good either, although after the sending off O'dea got his act together, think O'dea and Lees would be a better partnership.
