Gotta love Pontus. If anyone else follows him on Twitter they'll see he f**king swears more than I do. Next LUFC tw**ing legend.

He's got a right foul mouth. He should fit in perfectly on here. Should get him as an Ed then most of my posts my scrape through unsanitised.

{Ed001's Note - I was just wondering how you make sense of a comment that must just entirely consist of swear words, if he swears more than MM.}

Now that MC has got rid of GFH, anyone think we'll see the purchase of ER before the years out? When this was last queried the excuse was that GFH were unwilling to contribute to the purchase and MC was unwilling to increase the value of their shareholding. No GFH so no excuse for MC to not stick by his "promise".

If the finances are back on track then I'd rather see investment in the squad first.

Good point mate.
I'm sure he will buy ER back soon as it makes good business sense.
However rumour has it that potential new owner will be the purchaser of the ground.

I don't think we'll be able to back ER until a certain Master Bates does. No doubt in my mind he owns the ground.

Your post makes no sense

If Bates did own the ground (which he doesn't) but if he did why would we need to wait until he buys it again presumably from himself which is also impossible?

18 Sep 2016 22:56:14
Well Georgie. He did put us into administration to buy us back for 1 pound didn't he?

19 Sep 2016 10:46:12
Jacob Alder's investment group own the ground I think.

Adler frlnts a consortium based in caymen islands. No one knows for sure who group is Bates could still hold an interest in er but def does not own it all himself.

Read somewhere that a guy named survivor owns it 😎.

Rotation for me, Roofe, Atonnson and Coyle in. Maybe Mowatt.

Agreed we need to keep the momentum going. Monk made too many changes for Luton and it cost us at Forest.

Rotation key. What is not rotated is then tired for the next League game.

I'd rest the following

Green
Ayling
Bartley
Taylor
Sacko
Wood.

Pride of Devon losing 3-1 today, a certain Sparky surely on the brink of the sack makes the whole weekend rather good.

MM

Caught your humourous message. Just think if you managed that on your SIL.

Still think Green looks dodgy and apart from the Penalty Wood could have done better (but he did help out a lot in defence) and the football wasnt pretty - but I don't care - Monk has them grafting and defending well and wanting to win, something we havnt seen for ages - the championship is a tough division to get out of and graft is as important as anything - 3 points is more important than pretty football.

Does anyone know how much we have to pay for Jansson if he plays 20 games?
I hope MC is saving his pennies!
I'm usually a glass half empty person when it comes to LUFC but I'm feeling a lot more positive about this season than for many a year.
Now the defence looks sorted, I think it will allow the midfielders to look forward instead of sideways as they won't be scared of losing the ball for fear of the defence cocking it up!

The answer to your question is £3.65M.

Thanks George.
I've got £2 of my birthday money left, should we start a crowd funding site? 😉.

As I understand the deal, 20 games and it isn't an option to buy it's an obligation. So Cellino should have the readies earmarked at the end of the season. PJ is easily the best central defender to play for the club since Lucas. His partnership with Bartley is blossoming too.

I know it's only early days yet, but Jannson is looking a beast of a player. If he plays as consistently as his last couple of outings then £3.65m would be money well spent. Would perhaps also be worthwhile acquiring Barkley too as he is forming a good partnership with Jannson- something we haven't had since Lucas and Woody/ Ferdinand combination.

Happy with win obviously.
Green and wood obviously are the two others have mentioned, they showed yesterday to be the worst two in the team I think
Everybody worked hard. Deserved the win. Defense looks pretty solid and I thought sacko played well and also good goal!

I think the Green and Wood remarks are a little harsh. There wasn't a player on the pitch who didn't add value at some point and they all worked hard. Yes every man on the pitch made errors - human nature! Think we need to be positive and I know everyone has a right to their own oppinion. Nobody mentions the fact wood defended a couple of their real chances and then tanked it back up the pitch. Fatigue will play its part and yes he missed a couple but I will take the clean sheet and the two goals - whoever scores them. Green had a comedy moment but it wasn't punished - he will watch it back and know he screwed up but we had cover🙄 Positivity reigns and we have a good solid base on which to continue to build. I watched my recording when I got back and there were some great performances and mistakes that perhaps were not so apparent first time round. Keep it up boys MOT👍🏻.

18 Sep 2016 11:11:22
OK, so Green and Wood may not be our favourite players in the team, but they are playing in the two positions where any mistake is magnified - defenders and midfielders make mistakes every game.
And, WE WON! Wood scored a goal (yes, yes it was a penalty) , and Green made an unbelievable save as the ball came off the post. Give them a break!
Shows you how much we must be improving when that's all the moaners have to moan about.

Well, Fab result and solid performance from the boys, At Last we have what I have been wishing for since Lucas, A strong commanding No Nonsense CB who is a Brick wall thou shall not pass Janson and credit to Bartley too as he started tepidly but is forming an ideal strong partnership with Pontus, I think if we win our next 3 games we will have turned a corner, so even though i'm ecstatic with this result and performance I am keeping my feet firmly on the ground until I see the boys take advantage of the momentum and go on a long run that says hay we are leeds and we mean business, come on lads we can do it MOT people.

Great result today! Here are my thoughts on the performances.

Green: he has improved. Came well for crosses, commanded the area pretty well and made some good saves. I think he had the two efforts that hit the posts covered. However he still made a mistake and was found in no mans land, although it wasn't punished, I just don't trust him.

Ayling: good performance. Wrongly booked in my opinion. Defensively he needs to improve his positioning. Too many crosses are coming from their left flank, should get more blocks in.

Bartley: good choice for vice captain. Vocal on the pitch, good in the air and on the ground defensively. Forming a very good partnership with Jansson. I think he is out of contract at the end of the season so him on a free next season would be great.

Jansson: potential club legend. This man is looking like he may have the right to be named in the same bracket as Lucas Radebe. 17 clearances says how good he was today. MOTM today. Oh and he won the penalty!

Taylor: solid defensively, minimised the amount of crosses coming from their right flank well. Looked sloppy in possession at times and doesn't look like the desire to get forward is there anymore. More concerned about who will be signed as his replacement in January.

Viera: I was a bit sceptical about choosing him over Phillips before kick off, but second half the young man and o Kane bossed the midfield. His best performance to date.

O Kane: underrated. He doesn't do anything overly spectacular he just does the simple things well and recycles the ball well. He looks like an inspired signing from monk.

Dallas. Again another player who is underrated. He runs up and down that flank all day. Think he could have run a bit more at lee peltier (who we know is prone to a mistake or two)

Sacko: every time he gets the ball there is just an anticipation about what he might do. He is such an exciting player with pace and good dribbling ability. Hope we have already agreed a fee with sporting for him.

Hernandez: showed glimpses of his ability in the first 70 minutes, then bossed the game for the final 20. Should have played wood in at 1-0 but what a hit for his goal. Best game for us by a country mile. If wood drops deep Hernandez needs to play in front of him.

Wood. Shocking miss when played in by Hernandez. Didn't work hard enough and was constantly out of position until the penalty. Then after he scored a well taken penalty and his confidence came back he started playing much better. It is obvious that wood needs a high confidence to play well so we need to back him because when he plays well he is a very good striker but he needs to be consistent with good performances.

Roofe: not impressed, lost the ball too often, over complicated things instead of playing a simple pass and move game. Needs to start showing he is worth £3m quickly.

Phillips and antonsson: not on the pitch for long enough to be properly judged. Both unlucky not to start.

I think we can all see the positives in todays performance yes defence was better but we had a bit of luck and could have been 2 down but we rode the storm and deserved the win. Considering we were missing bridcutt who we are a better side with we can take heart from this display and I would like to mention Viera who for his age was immense today all in all a lot to happy with onwards and upwards my fellow Leeds United fans.
