Ok people, with all the talk of players leaving am wondering what your "used to play for lufc" team would be. Must have played for any level of Leeds and still be playing. For me:
Schmiechal,
Rose, Pontus, Bartley, Taylor Cook, Milner, Delph,
Gradel, wood, snodgrass.

(I did think berardi at left back just to see smoke come from Bermondsey's ears) . Couldn't think of any other real quality players who could dislodge this group, but I'm sure I'll have missed someone.

where is steve the goal machine morrision? this must be an oversight as he is clearly still playing and still red hot. if it was already left i'd go for schmiechal, rose, garbutt, bruce/lees, byram, gradle cook, delph, milner snodgrass, mccormack on that note heard badge kisser is in hospital and not in great shape something to do with cises in his face. i do wish him well, i know we all joke but was a good player and is a good family man whoes son i believe is a fan of best team in the world! What about Lennon?

Byram and howson over rose and cook for me, howson always the more complete player, and byram starting to get time at West Ham now could fit that place well.

Forgot about Lennon and McCormack to be honest. i'd agree with putting both in. Rose just included in Orem team of the season!

What are people's thoughts on the Pontus situation? Obviously it depends on our division, but for the sake of argument work on us being in the championship, with is the most likely. For me I'd reject initial bids, see how this affects Pontus himself, if he's happy at Leeds the. Only accept a ridiculous offer, e.g. £20m, but if he does throw his toys out of the pram then auction him off.

What's also worrying me is not only Janssen but Kyle Bartley being tipped to move. The only thing that consistently performs and it looks like the heart is being ripped from it (adding Taylor as well). This makes promotion even more necessary, to stand a chance of keeping them.

TOtally agree, though I've been resigned to losing him most of the season. he was playing so well thought that Swansea would keep him next season anyway. Yes if we don't go up it is worrying times.

for me it is obvious he is not happy, I personally am worried by him being dropped twice and pulling out once since jan. I we should hold out for 20 however he will kick and stomp so be lucky to get 15. hope i am wrong but don't think i will be, hope we get bartley and even if wood, veira and pontus go I hope MC will get good price and trust monk to invest well. of course even better is they all stay but not sure that will happen either way MOT

So are we all assuming Monk will stay if we don't go up ?

i do think monk will stay but if everyone is sold and he is not backed then he will leave but if supported with transfers think he will give it at least one more year, why leave if the case we are big club really and not sure any suitors for him will be any better than us.

Honestly I wouldn't like to call it about monk. we will have to see how that one plays out.

I agree Bermo, It all hinges on if he is backed. It is unavoidable that we will be stripped of some of our "stars" whichever division we are in. The law of the jungle. Especially with our wage structure (even in the Premier League) . The key then is will Cellino and/or Radrizzani have the balls to back Garry. If not, then as with our players, other teams will have noticed how we over performed on a shoestring budget and pounce on a young hungry manager.

It is not unavoidable that key players are stripped. Brighton kept players such as Dunk despite significant offers from other clubs. They built on their already strong squad and will be playing Premier League football next season.

Totally agree Leo. As per, it will be a very different team next year whether we go up or not. And I've never commented before on the January transfer window, but I'm hoping our lack of intent shown then was simply because Razzi was rather late arriving, and not a sign of what's to happen in the summer window.
