i am a liverpool fan but just a little post on how bad the game of football has become. already, fans of clubs have got there managers under pressure, us with rodgers, mark hughes, chris houghton, avb. im a season ticket holder who has been to the 4 corners of the earth following liverpool and i enjoyed every minute of it, but now the game has changed for the worst so much. to many fans now havent got a clue about football its a social event for alot of people . every club has got alot of good knowledgable fans and you find most are working class people, not all but most. but football now has virtually been took away from us. most fans up and down the country cannot afford to go the game now and as for taking our kids to its just impossible, so more and more the working class man is being squeezed out the game. so in a few years time it will be 80percent corparate or as roy keane said the prawn sandwich brigade. i no by speaking to alot of fans and workmates that they are coming to the end of there love for the game. we work 50 sometimes 60 hours a week really struggle to keep are heads above water, like most in the country. i live by the ground and struggle payin my morgtage but if rooney and van persie put one weeks wages together they could buy are whole side of the street ! fottballers now are so far from the fans its ridiculous, i dont blame them for the wages they get cos anyone in there right mind would work for as much money as they could get. but clubs need to do something before it really is to late and the working man and his kids walk away from the game. sent this post to most clubs sites and would be grateful for peoples thoughts, thanks.

Your bang on the nail ,mate. The beautifull game is slowly being destroyed by over priceing. Guess how we felt when we was in league 1 and was still paying prem prices. We didn't have half the team you've got. So we LUFC fans know more than anyone, what its like to be fleeced by the club we love.
I don't think i'd be as p***** if we were in the prem. So if you send this post next year, i'll tell you how i feel in the prem.

Fully agree there should be a maximum ticket price brought in for the working man and his family maximum £25 per person per game no more. Your bang on right they're squeezing the life (which is the fans) out of the game.

Team to play Blackpool:
Kenny
Pelts Lees Pearce White
Green Austin Norris Varney
McCormack
Becchio
Players:
Kenny:No other replacement and he's 100%
Pelts: Stands more of a chance against Ince than Bryam does also hell give Bryam a rest and bring back Lees
Lees:In instead of Bryam so pelts can play his natural position
Pearce: Solid header of the ball watching Kevin Phillips
White: will be strongly watched by Warnock as he looked a liability against Wolves
Green: Will balance the midfield up and support Peltier on Ince to let Varney go on the other flank
Norris:Play behind the strikers supporting the by keeping and playIng the ball around the park
Austin: To play infront of the back four; opposite to Chuck Norris, Austin will clear the mess up and read the game by covering certain runs
Varney: Will be aloud to move forward as Green on the other side will be covering defensively
McCormack: Dropping back receiving the ball to play and link up with forward team mates
Becchio: Identifying where the crosses will be coming in and positioning self playing the usual Luciano role.
This is how I think well play against B'Pool.
Come on you whites let's collect a decent point ATLEAST.

Johnson was always slow and never put effort in to get back. His jog was as slow as a walk and I never saw him sprint. Howson I liked, creative passer and scored a few vital goals, but did not tackle enough and went missing a lot. Snodgrass I rate. A lot of people say he is slow, but he made up for it with his skill. I would tAke him back, but I will still laugh my head off when they go down and we go up.

Three obvious differences from last year(s). The players covered for one another regardless of position. The midfield were strong in all positions both offensively and defensively ( check out attempts and blocks from the four involved) and finally no one sh*t themselve and panicked in the last 10 minutes as the opposition pressed us. El Hadji Diouf is not Brendan Ormsby's "cup of tea"! Then drink your cup of tea, post your silly comments and watch true supporters help their team and manager.
I have every faith in my manager. If NW think Diouf can do the job for whites I will support them both from here to promotion and onwards to eternity! And Diouf was pure class yesterday. Never lost the ball, wise involvements, and he alone kept the play up the pitch and killed the game the last ten minutes when we were all waiting for the wolves storm. Hope we sign him up! Pre history not interesting - all players are here wearing white for a larger purpose - to do the job for a great manager, great supporters and a GREAT club! Lets end discussions of individual players beeing smart buys or not - have faith in our manager, support any player he brings in and on. Support your team, and let Mr Ormsby drink his tea alone...

Did no one else think that peltier was absolute quality? {Ed037's Note - I agree, i thought he seemed very comfortable at RB and CB yesterday}
Believable26
Unbelievable2
It was not just peltier that stood out yesterday imo i thought as a unit we were quality. the only negative i came away from the game yesterday was i thought white and varney had poor games. ive seen both on numerous occassions and respect they are both decent players but in my opinion we need more quality than what these 2 offer. was drury unfit? i know he is getting on a bit but i feel he would have been a better option at left back than aidy white. varney who i do rate as a decent pro had a poor game yesterday and we would benifit more from him as an impact player. overall not a lot needs doing to improve the side id like to see either templeton or boyd signed and perhaps another cb and diouf given a contract as i much i dont like the bloke the quality is there all he needs is to channel it in the right direction. warnock knows what he is doing but please dont resign beckford lets move forward not backwards. austin pearce pelts were awesome yesterday with beccs and maccas movement we are going places mot
Agree4

I do agree 95% but my only nag would be that pelts in the first half was beaten in the air from goal kicks and long clearances n each time it was Doyle who beat him who's hardly a giant!
It didn't matter much but had Pearce not been behind him n had ebanks Blake been sharper it could of been different?!
Be was still quality though and led by example

Was at the match yesterday. Great
result and a big improvement on
last season. Austin was just what
we needed. I still have doubts
about Aidy White.
Might be fine as he gets older but
now he misses too many tackles
and is out of position too many
times. Lost his footing on a number of occasions after being turned and was slow to
recover.Almost cost us near the
end with an unnecessary foul after
dithering with a clearance. Reminder of last season. Drury
must be better bet
at the moment.

Was at the game yesterday and what a difference to last year. OK, on paper we maybe warrant a top 10 finish. Buth the fact is we have Neil Warnock. IMO there is no better manger at this level who can help leeds pull out of this division. You could tell the difference yesterday, if we went a goal up last year the whole team panicked and we'd often concede. But yesterday we were happy to let them play with the ball in their own half and kept shape and more importnaly kept calm, something we never really saw under SG. very excited for what lies ahead. NW is the man to take us forward.

Drury seems the more solid option but have to admit I haven't seen him play yet do you have to trust NW. {Ed013's Note - I agree also, I think if you had to choose the least stand out player then it was him or Varney. Although they still had a decent game}

I thought they all had a very decent game i thought white looked to have built up in the gym and maybe that has affected his pace, but overall they all impressed. Austin, Pearce andNyram stand out players for me. What a pass from Kenny keep it up lads. Warnock is doing alright and with 4 more good signings we will ne there or thereabouts at the end of the season.Sharky lufc

I'm not complaining or trying to pull the team down but I've just watched the Leeds v wolves match on the football league show and is it just what they happened to show us or did wolves actually have well more chances than us? Cause if they did, if we come against a team on target were in for it! However according to the reports on here we were strong and controlling. But The FOotball league show made it look like it was wolves off day, and we can't defend. Hope it's not true
P.S I'm only asking if how the FLS Highlighted the match was actually how it was or did they just not bother showing our chances. Not trying to be negative

I watched the match live and yes FLS did not show all the highlights. We played them off the park. They had more posession then us but we always looked like scoreing at any time. Wolves are lucky to go home with just a 1-0 defeat, could of been much more.
This is a different team. They all worked and looked out for each other. with takeover and a couple of quality players, the skys the limit.
Snodgrass at this point must be wondering what he's done because he looked p=ss poor for Norwich and was pulled out the game after 56mins.
This lad will learn the hard way, in watching us go up and them come crashing down.

Official match report Leeds 5 shots on target wolves 1 try turning up to see a game live then judge a teams performance. We never looked like conceding.

That is exactly what i was thinking having been to the match then watching the highlights on the football league show they did not correlate. All i can assume is that the producer is a wolves fan haha. They even showed highlights of a swipe from roger johnson that went straight up in the air from 30 yards out, and a header from an impossible angle. But didn't show Varney's one on one chance, or young Sams volley that hit the pole next to the net.

Thanks guys thought it looked a bit too one sided on the highlights. I knew we were better than that.

Greta performance from 1 to 11 and the more they play together the better they will get. They have played many games together and to play wolves off the park a team that has been together for at least 2 season on shows the potential that we have .keep it up lads> shaky lufc

Austin looked class today but like folks have said. Sam Byram was excellent against Jarvis. Times his tackles perfectly and didn't seem nervous on the ball. Good to see another academy product coming through the ranks. Would like to see Poleon get a bit of time this season

As good as Austin is and there is no doubt he is good and will play a big part is the season.
If Diouf keeps hes discipline he will be the difference this season class player head and shoulders above the rest out there and that includes anything Wolves had to offer . That's not taking anything away from the rest of our team who played out of there sox yesterday and will only get better the more they play together. It just shows how good Diouf is at this level

Diouf played well and kept his cool, i am not a great fan of his but will support him because he wears a white shirt, i would like him to be a legend dispite his reputation. I f he continues to play like that who cares about the past i could forgive him.Sharky lufc
