Hi, could not get on the banter page, but cut me and I bleed white, but well done Chelsea, sometimes it is good that football is the winner.
Been on the wrong end of some games against them, but so what, hopefullt what goes around comes around.

Agree - fair play to them. They have been a lesson in sticking at it and never, ever giving up. Let's hope the Leeds Utd of next season have more in common with them than the Leeds Utd of the season just finished.

if leeds have struggeld to find the 400,000 for ward would people on here stop posting that we are going to sign player,s for a £1mil plus no chance are we going to sign anyone for more than free {Ed013's Note - Let them have their fun! no one knows Leeds budget other than Shaun, Ken and Neil's group}

Don't forget we've made a profit over the last 3 season and with sales of players, means we have got money in the bank but with bates in control of it, it's like a greek bank. There is no way we're struggling to find £400 000. People believing that are taking the negative slant approach a bit too far.

We haven't made a profit tho, you all forget our biggest signing in years, our £7 million boxes {Ed013's Note - They are from a loan as you cant borrow for players, but you can for building projects}

And how is the loan paid back? Where else has Delph,gradel,kasper and howson money gone? I'm not anti bates or anything but honestly where has it gone? Obviously not on wages. What's your honest thoughts Ed? {Ed013's Note - Transfer money should be re-invested in the playing squad, but only Mr Bates knows where that is. The East stand development came from a loan in which Leeds will pay back over a set period of time. If the Casino goes through, Leeds wont pay a penny towards that and they will get a free West stand development for its troubles, so I hope it goes through. Believe it or not, Mr Bates wants to be promoted for the money it will generate and he will then have more interest in selling us on. Once Leeds are back in the big time, the ground will have top Prem facilities}

There are almost 3 months to go. Patience is a must. I don't think I can handle another season of moaning. We as fans must admit that we haven't given the greatest usual support last season. I look at Southampton or reading and I think their teams were average but the atmosphere around their clubs was amazing. In a way Colin just arrived so I hope he thinks about his signings a bit. We don't want panic Grayson style players which we are stuck with and can't get rid . Delighted with Pearce. We have to be optimistic. Great club, one of the healthiest financially waiting to be taken over. Top manager, and the greatest fans in the land. It's only a matter of when not if, so I for one am willing to wait as I think this time it will be for good. {Ed013's Note - Excellent. If only all posts were this easy to edit}

Yes we do, every player does this, if they didn't Jason Pearce would of been at Ipswich as they were first in for him

A lot of players will do it.. It's not always about money either. Bear in mind you are committing possibly 3 or 4 years to a club. It needs to be the right choice !

Is there no truth in the YEP report that Leeds could have lost out on ward due to not being able to fund the deal, Ed whats your thoughts is this just someone making up a story to fill in column inches or is there any substance behind it?. White4Ever.... {Ed013's Note - Mate if Ward agreed to come then Leeds can afford it unless Pompey have asked ridicules money which in their state they can't. Pearce is a better player and therefore Ward will not cost any more}

No1 wants to come to leeds when every1 shouts bates out at every game. The atmosphere some times last season was to hostile and you could see it in the players play. Back bates for now get the new players in get to the prem! Then get BATES OUT! MOT!!

Why hopefully beckford? he thought he was to good for leeds now that nobody wants him he wants to come back. no player is bigger than the club especially beckford i for one hope we dont get him.

According to the YEP and Ipswich Towns web Leeds are loosing the race for ward because we have faltered finding the £450.000 to finalise the deal which should have been completed by now, Warnock talked to Ward on the 9th 10 days ago, if this is correct it looks like Bates and his board are having the last say over Warnock on the money side of things. Now Blackpool are in the hunt for him chances are looking pretty slim on getting him. Looks like another victory for Bates and his piggy bank. Hope not. wwhite4ever.

But surely Warnock is promised money and added money from other transfers and plus the YEP isn't always reliable to be fair and the Ipswich website is probably getting their info from the Yorkshire evening post

Chances are we could sign a forward from Leicester City- but it is more likely VASSELL on a free rather than BECKFORD with a fee!!

We need some more incoming activity now though, as the initial enthusiasm is wearing off- am worried in particular about central midfield- come on Mr. Bates- you have the chance to prove us wrong and provide Colin with the necessary funds to get us promoted MOT

A close source has told me KB not releasing any transfer funds until Clayton is sold also not prepared to pay wages at the level of other championship clubs so players like Ward can get more money elsewhere.This combined with not paying thr going rate to keep our best players almost certainly means another season of mediocrity.cannot see us getting promoted while KB in charge

My close source told me to ignore all you moaning pessimists and wait until the season starts. By then we will know what players will be wearing a Leeds shirt, i'm sure Warnock will get the players in that will get us promoted.

Let us get to the point on promotion. What is the point in getting promoted if we can't stay there. I think Warnock as no chance of getting a promotion winning team in one year. We need to build a team capable of staying up there. Imagine having to compete with the Man citys of this world. At this time we have no chance.

Nobody can compete with Man City,but the likes of Chelsea,Arsenal,Surs etc can still spend fortunes on players,we are miles away from ever competing at the top again,although I think NW can get us up,it will need a different regime and manager to keep us there,wihout a billionare taking over, the glory years will never happen again,to achieve promotion and stay there is as much as we can realistically hope for,but we live in hope,whatever the crack,get behind the boys 100%.

'imagine having to come up against man city [post above]'.. yeah that is it. we will sign players that will compete against man city whilst were in the championship. in fact I hear Lionel Messi heard about us and has jumped at the chance to sign on a 20k a week max (but 15 with bates) championship Leeds squad. Who do you expect to come in to fight a team that spend upwards of 50mil every season?
We need to work it season by season, gain promotion this season with a determined, disciplined manager who knows what this league needs, and look at the premiership IF and when we get there. In Warnock we trust.

McCormack clearly doesnt have much ambition. why he would he want to leave a club that has a chance of promotion, after a great season in front of goal? Unless a premiership club has chucked in a sneaky offer? If hes not commited to the cause, get rid!

Don't get sucked in. Bottom line is players can earn more elsewhere, and Bates has his head up his $%^&.

The guy is so frustrating - same was said about a number of so called 'greedy' players and it's been proven that by getting rid we take a huge step backwards. Funny how Norwich & Southampton, didn't have these problems when heading up from League 1 and pushing on. I truly believe that our Promotion winning team was streets ahead of what we've got now. Bates is a greedy muppet, and we shouldn't turn on players on his and puppet Harvey's say so of what's gone on...

He has lots of ambition he wants to play in the prem and can do that now, he does not want to waste another season at Leeds paying rubbish wages and signing crap players and finishing mid table. Warlock can only do so much, when any player can get 5 to 15 k a week elsewhere they will not sign
