As long as their good enough and appreciate the size of this sleeping giant that they are playing for!any player that sweats blood and guts for the shirt whether they are foreign or English I don't give a monkeys all we fans want to see is passion, pride, and wholehearted work, ( oh a bit of messi magical skills wouldn't go a miss either) and we will back you to the hilt, you don't have to be a fake badge kissing ass, just put in a great shift for us on the pitch, and you may just waken the giant that sleeps and see what us fans can do when ER is rocking! There's no finer site ( god that's set my hairs on edge just thinking about the old euro nights/times)

Who would take Gorkks and Macheda on free transfers?
Mcanuff is out of contract and we could do worse than to take a look at him as back up. (I will get slated for this I'm sure)

I'd take them Peter. Good squad building additions. However, I feel MC has bigger fish to fry right now such as Cagliari sale and controlling our finances. I don't expect any signings even freebies until mid-July.

Unsure on macheda but Gorkks is definitely good enough and I've always liked mcanuff so not daft at all mate.100% better than what we have and top end champ level at least.

This is what he said. by Danilo Avelar was close to Leeds. The Cagliari defender was practically a stone's throw from signing for President Cellino at LUFC.

Good games? Who says they'd be able to walk for free? Difference between not being paid the full amount and being entitled to leave. Said for years footballers championship standard and up are not really employees under true construction of uk employment law. More like assets to be traded and write offable.

Agree with you Andy, not such a great idea.
I agree they should put a shift in and earn their money, but with this system you would end up with 10 outfield players running after the ball, all trying to tackle the same man to get the money for doing so.
Maybe a bit more performance related pay would work?

Looks like things are going well for M. Cellino and the sale of cagliari, he is the the fortunate position where there are two parties in a bidding war over the club.

after the sprint by Tommaso Giulini to buy the club. today he has received a proposal by a U.S consortium. which they have funds to include a sports centre at Asselby. Possible, at this point, the beginning of a real auction for the purchase of the club. let's hope so because he deserves it. more cash for LUFC, I think fingers crossed MOT

I wonder how much is enough when it comes to money with the modern footballer. 100k per week equates to 5mil a year, over a three year contract, 15mil. Left with around 10mil after masterly accounting. House in Cheshire: 5mil. Cars, jacuzzis, holidays. Left with only a million as a nest egg. That's not going to last with Chardonnay hitting the plastic at the Trafford centre. Better make it 200k per week unless they might have to work for a living.
How about 2k a week and 5k a point. might learn the value of money and the worth of hard work that way.
