Smith is not going on loan anywhere let alone leeds because newcastle have a ridiculously thin squad..even though they are actively looking to get rid if they recruit in January window. He will be available on a free next year and should we not get promoted (likely unfortunately at this rate, would love to be wrong!) it could be an outside possibility but to be honest, that's being optimistic. I am a die hard Leeds fan and a passionate Mr Smith supporter bit of an unhappy marriage that but hey, Clayton by and large is proving to be a very good player so far but we are lacking a defensive minded midfielder. Smith in the Championship is a class act, in Premiership he has lost the legs for it. Anyone who says he's not good enough for us are entitled to their opinions but I'm sure we said that about Clayton last season! Whatever...I'm just putting it out there. Great performance by the Leeds fans today btw shame about the Munich/Istanbul chants disgraceful not football fans.

We must be the only club in the league whose chairman does the opposing teams team talk for them. Nothing Millen could have said or done could possibly have motivated Kilkenny and his new teamates as much as our chairmans rantings. Does he ever engage brain before shouting ?

sorry but for all these people who say build squad and go up next season instead of going up with a half decent squad is utter tosh! it doesnt matter because as soon as teams go up the squad changes dramatically anyway

I agree with everyone who doesn't rate Nunez highly. He never tracks back and when he has the ball he ignores all passing options and treats us like a one man team. Some of you will say he has scored some good goals but let's be honest, bradford have got crap defence and Doncaster have the worst defence in the championship, I would much rather see Leeds play in a 4-3-3 formation with clayton playing a holding role.

Mmmm yea think the honeymoon is over for Nunez and the one trick pony might possibly have used his tricks.....

Nunez is not a wide man... Would do better playing him up front and McCormack on wing..

If Nunez is a one trick pony - Snodgrass this season must be a zero trick pony.

Healy and Hulse never played as a partnership because the village person called Blackwell always put Healy on the wing! They were both very good strikers - shame about the manager.

A player who Bates & SG didn't think was good enough, actually ran the show on Saturday and if he'd have stayed on the pitch the result would probably have been different. I am delighted that Neil has actually told it like it is and it is evident that Bates has been rumbled by someone, previously on the inside, spilling the beans on just exactly what this guy is like.

His actions to the Kop - his paying public - were dispeakable on Saturday. He showed no ounce of grace or business acumen by behaving in a manner that makes a lughing stock of his ability to run the club effectively.

Unfortunately, we have one idiot, a board of puppets, a manager who dare not tell it like it is (like Killa!) for fear of serious reprisal. I wonder if Susannah is allowed to go to the supermarket and spend the weekly shopping allowance without his say so! Or maybe she has to go to Aldi!

One thing is for sure, this club is going nowhere until someon runs it properly. Until the man at the top listens instead of bullies and more importantly he empowers his staff to have ideas on how it may be run better.

As Killa said on Saturday evening...this is the worst Leeds team in 5 years (he should know he ran it on Saturday!) and Bates will ruin our club if this situation is allowed to continue.

Killa was always s**te at Leeds, can hardly run for a start! He had the first good game I've seen in years on sat and that was only bcos the little sh*t bag was fired up 4it. He's not in the same league as Clayton

Killa played like that every game for leeds, all he needed was a battler alongside him and he could run games

I agree Clayton is quality but also is Kilkenny - for the last two seasons he has been the best continuity ball player we had. Remember who ran the game when we beat scum in the FA Cup - Kilkenny. Killkenny is spot on this is a poorly balanced team and worse than our League 1 team.The problem we have is Grayson's persistence in playing Howson - he is lighweight, can't defend, can't pass is a passenger for most games. The fact he is a Leeds lad blurrs supporters vision! This is even more evident now we have another passenger in Nunez who can't do the job in midfield Gradel did, neither in quality or less unforgiving effort. Howson had the luxury of a free role last year supporting a front man with ball winner Johnson and Kilkenny but he never controls midfield. Clayton was Leeds is best midfielder on Saturday and has been all season. Grayson's practice of playing strikers in midfield roles is desperation to justify signing far too many forwards. Letting Johnson, Gradel and Kilkenny go without as good replacements is appalling management.

Killa obviously has long term memory loss if he believes this is the worst team Leeds has had in 5 years. Furthermore if this is our worst team then i dont want to know what his current employers would take from the fact they lost to a 10 man version of said weaken team :s

To the guy who doesn't rate Killa....the only ball playing midfielder, who can pass the ball, that we had. Johnson and Killa would walk into this Leeds team...don't kid yourself...we are facing Man Utd with arguably a worse team than we had at Old Trafford a couple of seasons ago!

Howson's biggest strength is finishing in the 6 yard box. he is a forward who is trying to do more than he is suited to.

Keith Millen has already stressed his anger at losing to a side that was obviously not as good as them. 9/10 Maynard scores the penalty and Leeds lose 2 or maybe 3-1. Football being football though things never surprise you. Those who have been watching Leeds for over 30 years home and away like me would say there is merit in what Killa had to say.

Leeds fans make me laugh sometimes. Before last Saturday everyone was saying how crap Kilkenny is, Clayton is a million times better, good riddance to the moaning Aussie etc etc.

But now he blows a kiss at Ken Bates and starts mouthing off about him, and suddenly Kilkenny is a class act.

Other fans make me laugh harder! Clayton a great alrounder, but lets not kid ourselves...our lack of investment (the board again) has seen him promoted to the first team picture this season as SG had no choice! Albeit, granted, he's taken his chance. As a ball playing midfielder Kilkenny is probably one of the best in the league...and I said it when he was with us. True he can't tackle, is a bit lightweight but with the ball, he has quality.

Ladies and gents, we are all getting concerned about the carling "CUP" game, I put "CUP" in big to for a reason.

I was the one that said Bradford was a good game and nothing to worry about because it was a "CUP" game and a local "DERBY", and I'll say this.

When tuesday night comes, although on paper Man Utd's 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th teams would beat Leeds, that dont matter. On "DERBY" days in "CUP" matches, form, class, and big names don't matter... Pride Guts and Luck are what matter, so believe we can win, get behind the boys and regardless of what happens Stand Up and Sing for LEEDS!
