Great result last night, really happy for Tyler as that should boost his confidence. Got to hand it to the manager, playing just as good with injury replacements and first ever Leeds Manager to go first 8 league games unbeaten. Early days but a chance for those dreams to start fluttering around. Just need to take 3 points from Gary the sssssnake now and keep the run of form going. MOT my fellow fans, strap yourselves in, the Peacock is spreading its wings. let's hope we fly high enough to carp on the rest of the division.

Best performance of the season last night. I think Alex Neil is living somewhere I want to visit if he believes the game was even up until the second goal.

Couldn't fault a single player last night, once the first 15 minutes were rode out they never looked back.

The amazing stat for me personally is that we've only conceded one goal at home in the league after four games. Which was a penalty too.

Quietly confident that nobody will leave Elland Road with 3 points this season!

Think we’re all maybe getting slightly carried away a little with our form at the moment. Don’t want to put a dampener on things but every team goes through a sticky patch. Hopefully ours won’t be the last 3 months of the season due to burn out.

To be fair Sherborne, whilst it was 1-0 they could have sneaked a draw. I think the way we play, there’s always the chance that the opposition could sneak one. Everyone was relieved when the second one went in and after that could have been 4 or 5!

agree spanish they did put ball in back of net and bpf played well so 1-1 would not of been crazy that said over 90 we outplayed them and dersevred win . if we don't get burn out we will be flying.

Just as pleasing as the 3 was the 0 at the other end. Yes, the way we play, conceding no goals is a feat in itself and is a testament to the well drilled unit at the back.

It is true at 1-0 there is always the chance of 1-1 becoming an eventuality.

However last night at no point, except from the goal ruled out for offside. Did I see PNE equalising, they were forced in to long hopeless balls for 70 minutes of last nights game. Swallowed up by; Ayling, Jansson, Cooper and Douglas then another attack would begin.

I'm quite surprised that nobody has referenced the last man 'foul' on Roberts, for me it was definitely a foul upon first viewing. In which case they would have been down to 10 men again!

I thought Pontus was immense last night, he even went for a jog down the wing! !

I didn’t feel as confident as you Sherburn and nor did all the people sat around . I think 2-0 gives us that real edge we relax and the opponents either start to give up or go headless, both of which help us.

Ayling did have a squeaky first 10 mins as well that could have gone wrong. But you were right it didn’t .

Bring on the Brum, another side capable of playing better than the position suggests. Are there really any easier games in this division?

Top up in January with 3 players and by the time their playing bielsa football they can come in to releave the fatigue.

I am with you Sherburn. I was very confident at 1-0 too.

Preston couldn't string 3 passes together all night whilst we are passing and moving as if we have been doing it for years. I felt that Preston were chasing shadows, and we were opening them up almost at will (I did say almost)

By 1-0 I think Klich had almost had 2 goals against his name and at that stage I thought we were playing with 10 men as Roberts hadn't really contributed. That is not meant as a destructive criticisms, only that he looked a little off the pace of what his teammates were doing. But by the 2nd half he seemed to be joining in. Making runs at the right time. Holding up at the right time. Playing passes at the right time. It was like having a young Kemar Roofe up front

I have always supported each and every manager that Leeds have employed. Even Denis Wise woth his Chelsea connections. (Might not have been 100% behind Hockaday as I had never heard of him before) But thank you, thank you, thank you for employing Biesla. This is the most enjoyable watching I have had since OLeary's Babes (and most of those were Wilkinson youngsters)

one thing pleases me the most looking back over season so far and someone else said it on here. its our ability to fight and rough it up. last season under TC we played some lovely football but also folded like a deck of cards. this year we are playing even better yet with grit. just watched game back gaian pontus and BFP really impressed me. BPF gets better every week. still not a patch on felix the cat!

It took us longer to fold last season. Hold on guys. Admittedly we look tougher but we still have a long way to go.

I think you are right to be cautious Wex, long, long way to go. I think part of the toughness and focus comes from the coaching set up. The focus is relentless from all of the coaching team. I’ve seen the same at the under 23 games and it’s very impressive.

The other difference is the quality of the coaching and the game plans. Harrison and Roberts performances are encouraging, makes the bench better and can give the key players a bit of a break. Forshaw back a real bonus.

The way of the table is shaping up, we’ve only played 1 of the top 8 at the moment and that was a draw, so plenty of tough challenges to come.

Yes, altho I am on cloud nine I am not shouting the pro. word from the rooftops just yet. It makes me smile to hear some fans denigrate a player one minute then laud him as the new Messiah the next. Let's hope that the fickle fans still rally round come our first defeat. As you say lads there's a long way to go still. Starting with Birmingham and a full house Saturday.

Last night made me a happy man. Reading this forum did so again, reading how chipper it has made the rest of you. Trying not to get carried away, but it's getting harder by the week. Daring to believe a little. Enjoy and savour it gents. MOT.

And he will be backed. What last night demonstrated is that if you put out a team that commits 100% to the cause you will have Elland Road rocking. Have not had atmosphere like that for a little no long time. As they say. build it and they will come.

Fantastic performance and really pleased for Roberts. Delighted for Cooper, last season when he kept getting sent of I agreed with a post that he was possibly the worst CH to wear the white shirt. Whilst he will never turn into Paul Madely what character and leadership to come back. Finally, I had honestly never heard of Bielsa before and was both excited and intrigued when Ed001 was saying how fortunate we are. My Dad always spoke of seeing John Charles play like watching an immortal? Well I will be boring my grandsons with tales of how the ‘great Bielsa’ came to manage us!

Think he is the best thing to happen to us for decades. Previous managers/ coaches irrespective of ability have had the fear factor of losing the job and were reluctant to make changes. This guy has total belief in himself and his philosophy which shows in the way the players are responding. He has no fear of the sack as he will walk into another top job. The best thing is he likes projects and we are his project as long as Radz backs him.

{Ed001's Note - it is nice to see my name mentioned on here without abuse following it as well - Bielsa truly is a miracle worker if he can achieve that!!}

How fabulous! The football is beautiful to watch when we are at our sparkling free flowing best, quick one touch passing, movement, pace, pressing, tackling, we have toughened up this year as we proved last night and against teams like Middlesbrough and Millwall its a joy to watch at the moment, really chuffed for the boy Roberts watch him fly now! Outstanding performances from all the players and looking confident and Solid at the back! Not getting carried away yet on to brum come on you super whites! MOT brothers 😎.

Pontus seems to be back to his best as well, did you see him celebrate a tackle as if he'd scored in front of the kop?

19 Sep 2018 12:34:22
Pontus was awsome last night, as was Cooper to be fair. 5 goals conceded in the league, second lowest total. We have had a fair few squeaky moments, and our style means that we are likely to be stretched at the back at times but there is a real commitment and determination to the defending that often saves the day.
