People I would like to see NW looking at:
Jonathan Greening - florists - Loan till end of season (option to buy)
Jake Taylor - Reading - Loan till end of season (option to buy)
Nahki Wells - Bradford - 50-100k (one for the future)
Harry Maguire - Sheff UTD - 250k - 350k
George Boyd - Posh - 300k
Cameron Jerome - Stoke - Loan - Till end of season (option to buy)
Tate & Tonge, sadly I don't think we'll get Thomas.
I know the names are not exactly setting the world on fire i but i reckon it's a probable real assessment of our budget and to be fair would strengthen our squad.
Please Neil not Derry & Hill. Good players but at the wrong end of their careers.

We NEED a creative midfielder and a left back. Our strikers were our best players today, with better service we could have achieved a better result. Then Peltier can be allowed to play in his postion and we can judge if he is capable of fulfilling RB role. Suggest Dean Lewington who plays predominantly at left back for Milton Keynes where he is currently captain. I'm struggling to spot a creative midfielder who is good enough and within our price bracket

I suggested Lewington at beginning of season. Forgot to put him on the list tbh.
Good shout, totally agree 100%

Agree0 Disagree0

Is Lewington that ginger nut?
George Boyd should be one of the first targets for me

Becchio is going nowhere! the new owners EFGHIJK ?? (whatever) may not be our multimillion pound saviours as we all first thought but they cannot be that daft to sell one of the fans favourites, they need to get the fans on side, turning down any bids for him would go a long way to prove this to long suffering skint fans?

Believable6 Unbelievable4

I can't believe some are disagreeing with this. How on earth could GFH expect to be taken seriously if they even CONSIDERED selling Becchio? What a start thet would be!

I know we've had a bad decade, but come on folks, let's not let doom & gloom swallow us up this early in the reign of our new owners!

Agree6 Disagree1

I disagreed with original post because LUFC are a business not a fans plaything and, if the right offer was put in front of the owners, they will sell.

Danny Higgingbottom from Stoke? fits the "past it and free" signings NW is after??

Awful, disgraceful play today. Apparentely the team had a virus, but all of us on this site could have probably gone onto the pitch with one leg and one eye and put on a berter performance than that! We have no chance to get anywhere if we continue like this. We are just lucky bolton were as rubbish as us!

Believable6 Unbelievable6

Come on lighten up! We got the three points, it was never going to be a great game. {Ed013's Note - 3 points is great, 3 games in a row of very poor footbal is worrying, today was terrible}

Agree6 Disagree1

The way both teams shape up, Leeds v Bolton was never going to be anything other than a very dour affair. The important thing is we got the points which keeps us in the mix. Now we have January and hopefully an injection of quality.

Being fair, at the start of the season many Leeds fans thought we were in danger of going down. The reality is we're currently 2 points away from 6th position.

Agree3 Disagree0

Agree completly with last post. I don't care if we win ugly as long as the points go our way. I know we wasn't great yesterday, but our only goalscorer was man-marked all game by a 6ft 9 tall zat knight. i personally thought we was gunna lose but cheered them on from south stand! Virus going round the squad i wouldn't of expected us to play like barca, but as warnock has proved already this season, a couple of smart buys, team improves massively. A couple of points off the playoff's with plenty of games to go i have faith lets cheer sgt warnock's barmy army all the way MOT!

just read that hill and derry close to signing. how worrying is that. surely we should be looking
at bringing in young mobile players instead of
adding to the already ageing squad with
players who are 30 plus. we already have
one of the most static midfields in the league
and dont need to add to it

Believable3 Unbelievable2

We already have kenny and brown who are 34/35 and only have a season left in them (well kenny at least brown shoulda hung up his boots 3 years ago) bringing in 2 more 35 year olds when warnock is leaving at end of season is gnna leave the next manager with deadwood and a struggle as they attempt to build a new squad AGAIN.

01 Jan 2013 19:19:42
It as all become very clear. We have a virus????
thank goodness for that, some anti biotics and promotion is ours?
All this time I thought we had a sh#t team.

Seems Stan Collywobble is shocked at a young Leeds fan blacking up and dressing like Diouf, hope he is not too upset otherwise some poor women going to have a bad night on the back of it. Why do the media give this tit air time????

Believable12 Unbelievable1

Yeah young Irish Leeds fan at ELland rd with ehd haircut. Diouf got his pic taken with him and was smiles.. Which is probably More alarming

Rh {Ed013's Note - I saw this photo at the ground today, unfortunately the day and age we live in people would argue for the sake of arguing and claim racism, sexism etc etc if they weren't happy. In my opinion, the child is too young to understand racism, although his parents are. If Diouf is this child's idol then why not dress up like him? He may not like Spiderman, Batman etc etc and who stops people dressing up as Mr T? Anyway, Diouf loved it and I don't see where the harm is if Diouf was happy with it}

Agree10 Disagree0

Couldn't agree more. With his track record, how could he be "shocked" by anything?

Agree7 Disagree0

I was stood next to this kid before the game i thought he was ill at first lol but quality effort... ed totally agree with the Mr T reference

Guessing the one that has disagreed with the original poster is you Stan (w#nker)

Thats the last game Thomas plays for leeds, comes to us does well and another team will cherry pick him.

Believable5 Unbelievable7

01 Jan 2013 22:42:04
He wasn't that good but he's staying at wba .

Agree3 Disagree0

He was distinctly underwhelming in my opinion. He started well against Crystal Palace and showed some class in the assist for Becchio's goal against Chelsea, but what else did he do? He was simply awful against Forest, I couldn't believe he wasn't booked for diving.

01 Jan 2013 18:17:01
What do we think to these 3 signings. Promotion assured if we made these

Kilgallon
Gradel
Sharpe (on loan at Forrest)

All 3 permanent with also tonge. (missed him today I fell )

Believable10 Unbelievable4

01 Jan 2013 18:06:50
We may be 3 points better off than we were this morning but in truth that was a pretty shocking display of football. I'm told that Bolton have the worst away record in the league and if that's true I'm not surprised. They were by far the worst team I've watched this season and we barely scraped a win against them. Had they not given us a needless, soft penalty, I really couldn't see where we were going to get a goal.

More hopeless long ball, no invention, cant pass/won't pass, cracks papered over once more. No doubt loads of people will tell me to stop moaning and that we're only two points off the play offs but that was a team we should have buried. Fine, keep your heads buried as much as you like.

Only the mindlessly loyal, or those who weren't there and are just looking at the score and the table, can possibly believe we have a squad capable of reaching the Premiership.

Believable20 Unbelievable4

It all hinges on what signings we get in I think, team needs someone with some creativity in the middle, still not keen on the defensive set up, not a great fan of White or Lees tbh but least they're young, I know teams need some players with experience but way too many old players what happens if we do get up, theres gonna be quite a few to be replaced, an I'd be suprised if we don't drop straight bk down

Agree4 Disagree1

It was dire and not helped by Austin hoofing shots over the stand in the final third, he needs to cut that out and pick a pass now and again.

Agree3 Disagree2

The only 2 posotives of todays game were 1 No varney and 2 Brown didnt get on the pitch

Agree4 Disagree2

Stop moaning we are only 2 points off the playoffs!

Agree4 Disagree2

Might have escaped your notice but the transfer window opened today , for f***s sake stop moaning, we got three points, becchio, mccormack and byram are staying and we will be bringing more in , so three points today was the important thing, not the performance, or maybe you'd prefer grayson back , as it looks like he will be free soon

Agree2 Disagree1

At the end of the day, IT IS THE SCORE AND THE TABLE THAT MATTER.

Agree3 Disagree1

Totally agree. Like you I'm tired of people dismissing those offering this type of criticism as "moaners". I pay over-inflated prices for 2 season tickets and I'm entitled to express my views. Today's performance was dire, the Boro win was only marginally better. In neither match did we deserve more than a point. Sandwiched between were Forest and Hull when we got precisely what we deserved. No pace, no quality, no creativity, no hopers - about time NW owned up and did something about it or got out, instead of usual distracting post-match comments to avoid facing the truth. Error stricken from start to finish and would never have scored in open play if the game had continued til now.

Agree3 Disagree2

Eddie Gray summed the performance today up in one word " Attrocious". Think there was a bit of frostiness between Gray and Warnock in the post match interview, Gray not happy with it at all, Warnock thinking we played well, I wish NW no harm and still hope and wish he does the business but if he thinks todays was a good performance I despair

Agree1 Disagree1

01 Jan 2013 18:03:19
Warnock looking to sign QPR players is predictable, and depressing. He has an annoying obsession with signing players that he has previously managed. Why sign QPR players when they are getting obliterated in the PL, which is where we ultimately want to end up in the near future? Looks like we missed out on a gem when we failed to sign Wood. He scored twice in his first 30 minutes in a Leicester shirt. Ahh well, plenty more fish in the sea as they say.

On the other hand, good old fashioned win today and hope 2013 is our year! MOT

Believable8 Unbelievable1

Failing to sign wood shows that gfh won't go mad.leicester gave him silly money but that's why they might get up..shrew leeds

Agree2 Disagree6

Let's not forget that Leicester have made a habit of spending silly money in recent seasons - but where has it got them?

Tate has only signed till end of January either a stop gap till donkey hill signs or were after sum 1 better great result and a clean sheet omg MOT jp

Believable4 Unbelievable0

Good, based on his performance at Hull & today he's only one step removed from needing a Zimmer frame -he was rooted to the spot and has absolutely no pace in both games

Agree2 Disagree1

Although id like a younger up & coming player i do think hill will be better than tate

01 Jan 2013 17:54:28
who else is slightly concenerd that derry and hill are linked with a move to leeds? as if we havnt got enough old past it players??

Believable14 Unbelievable1

As daft as it sounds, a couple of wiley old cloggers on a 6 month contract might make the difference to getting in the playoffs. once we are prem, things will look more attractive to the right sort of players

Agree2 Disagree5

Of course they are linked to Leeds.after all warnock and we know we need pace.have you seen faster than these two...shrew leeds

On way back from the game, what a boring game and a boring performance, but ill take that every game if it means a win! Performance aren't the priority, points are! Keep the faith Leeds fans we can go up this year!

Believable4 Unbelievable6

If we play like that we'll be going nowhere unless we can play Bolton every week.

Agree2 Disagree2

With performances like today's unfortunately we won't pick up that many points and we will not get promoted. Our possession is very poor, this will severely hamper us, hope warnock can solve this with some better players brought in soon.

If Warnock is looking at hill and Derry he had to go, he is so out of touch with this league, we need young blood, a playmaker in midfield, ask yourself is Derry that man no.

Believable11 Unbelievable0

If we get the likes of hill or derry we will have a old squad which we not be able to get rid of later, we need younger players of some quality to build for the future

Agree8 Disagree0

Absolutely spot on mate.Too many help the aged in our team. The lad Will Hughes showed what he can do for Derby. Note to Warnock get someone under the age of 30 please.

Just seen the Leeds team to play today. Looks promising but don't understand why Warnock has not picked one natural left-sided player? No Brown than f*** for that :)

McCormack started off as a left sided winger come striker...he's capable playing both positions

See in the DM today that MICHU had previously been offered to Leeds. We didnt feel he was worth a punt ! Great scouting and coaching decision that one. See also that Grayson is under fire at Huddersfield (9 games without a win) Wasnt that the same reason why we offloaded cus the team capitulated ? Think NW still has some mileage especially as we now have period of fine tuning available to offload and rejuvinate team. Personally I think some current players will fear the 'window' and this may see better results over the next week or so. (We hope eh !)

Believable9 Unbelievable3

01 Jan 2013 12:32:35
Where was we gonna get 2 +million from to sign michu and then his wages

Michu was offered at £2.2M, not being being funny but, Papa Smurf has not spent that kind of money in decades!

I know its a weird 1 but how's about putting rossco in center mid he's got flair brilliant range of passing and he will want to get forward and help out leaveing austin or dare I say it brown to sit and help out the defence
Happy new year
Lufc hughzy

Believable17 Unbelievable1

I think u have a good point...I wouldn't play him that deep but I'd definitely have him play AM behind the strikers

Agree7 Disagree0

I said the same about diouf :o)

Agree7 Disagree0

Good call! You always need that style of player that can pick a pass. The rest are just ball watching or playing hot potato with the ball. Watch Warnock get a player in a position that we don't need, then play him out of position in the place we do need.
