Richie, absolutely agree. Was absolutely gutted when we first muted him as a loan signing those many years ago. Even then everyone I know who is a Bluenose was saying that Holgate was superior even tho he was younger. What I saw of him made me understand what these guys were saying. At the same time our ex, Lees, was bossing it at Wednesday and there was no comparison. Since then the lad has done nothing special at any club he has been loaned to.

Don't get me wrong, not saying he is awful, he would certainly keep me out of the team even with a wooden leg, but we can not be contemplating that level of defender now we are in the PL

I have only watched video of the U23 games but I would prefer both Casey and Cresswell to get game time over a similar standard loan player. Don't see why we should be giving the Bielsa coaching away for free like we did with Brighton.
