Would gladly take a few mersonaries, had a few in the past and still watched quality european football, and prem league week in week out.Just watch how many hang around when we don't go up, dont see snodgrass, gradel, or bechio staying when a cheque gets waved in front of bates once again.No top prem club has not got a big backer behind them.

Ken Bates has saved Leeds and deserves the credit. Going into the Premiership would be an achievement but its more about how much you are willing to spend and risk than about football development. If we have to go into the red to get simply to survive in the lower I would prefer to stay where we are. Keep a good finance structure and if through good management we get to the top division great. WE don't want a return to the Ridsdale days. Not sure if Saudi/ Russian money would make for a happy and successful team. Look at Man.City and Chelsea for that matter. Just a collection of mercenaries who play for Europe not the domestic game.

Fans talking of premier league football must be dreaming why will anything change this year or next with the same investment year in year out , until the clubs sold we will be stuck in the same old rut!
