Reading now that Bielsa is behind Leeds pulling out of the deal for Cuisance following the medical.
After the JKA debacle, on reflection it is very wise that Leeds do not spend another £20 million on a player that Bielsa may never or rarely play because of perceived fitness/ medical issue.

Think there has got to be more to this story than a failed medical to be honest. Maybe it's down to the players attitude who knows, but definitely think Bielsa has had a say. If it's just a case of an injury then we have brought injured players before, we shelled out good money for a championship club on Tyler Roberts who couldn't play for ages due to injury. Don't really believe this story, but now it leaves us scrambling around for other targets.

Agree Mezzer there does appear to be a lot more to this than a supposed alleged failed medical. and Bielsa looks to behind the decision to not sign Cuisance after all.
. even more concerning is Radz Orta and Bielsa have had since July to acquire the recruitment of players and here we are over 2 months later with this bs on a very much needed key position just days remaining. of the window.
The recruitment '"success " by Orta and co remains distinctly haphazard at times despite a better window than previously BUT they seriously need to improve further so perhaps the back slapping of Orta and Co by posters on here needs reevaluation.

Here's the thing!
JKA managed to pass a Leeds United medical yet Cuisance allegedly " fails " a Leeds United medical.
Smells . think there could well be other reason (s) why this deal has fallen through.

Different League, different investment level, different financial gamble, as one was a loan to buy, and the other, and outright purchase. Plus Big Kev decided he didn’t want to be here, as he couldn't hack Bielsa’s regime, which is well documented.

Questions for Ed001. Setting aside the possibility that some porky pies might be told in order to deflect attention from the "failed medical" for Cuisance and you have to wonder is the failed medical the truth, is he free to play for Bayern now or will there be hurdles to overcome because of the LUFC failed medical? Is any say German insurance cover in place for him in case of serious injury now deactivated? Do any footballing authorities get involved or does no-one actually care that he's failed a medical as a professional footballer and he plays next week in the Bundesliga and that's it?

{Ed001's Note - no one cares as a failed medical is a subjective thing. Unless it involves something like a heart problem no one had spotted previously, or anything else likely to endanger his health and welfare, he just goes back to where he was and carries on. A player can fail a medical for one club and pass one for another very easily.}

And that’s why we are now so very much more rigorous in the medical team. No point taking risks on such hefty investment. Especially when so much hangs in the balance.

Ere we go, but it’s truth. I have German Friends, and everything was done and dusted, according to the media, and inside BM sources over there.
He flew back with Victor last night, but something was awry in the med today. Terms were agreed with the player, before terms were agreed with the club, and he even is quoted as having said goodbye to his team mates before his flight.

As things stand I think there needs to be a reevaluation ( somewhat) of how good Leeds summer recruitment has been after all tbe back slapping by posters for Radz and Orta a day or so ago
now the Cuisance deal is off and our midfield still needing seriously strengthening
The recruitment still has been decent but no longer good without that CM / CAM recruitment.

Could be if we pulled out at the last minute or didn’t get the deal we want then the right thing to do was let him go. I think there were some question marks over the guys attitude anyway. Move on, still other targets and still time. Think we’ll pick a winger up but getting the right kind of attacking midfielder at the right price not proving easy. Any talk of left back is just people on here, Bielsa not looking for more left back options.

Suspect Bayern moving the goal posts on the terms of the wretched buy back clause caused tbe breakdown of this deal

Leo Will have been a collaborative effort. No way Radz money gets spent without Bub green light. It was reported Bub developed a 5 man for each position list. Defensively, we know Ben was the number one choice so imagining Robin was number two? They've probably reacted to what they saw in the first couple of games and decided to twist for Diego. De Paul from all accounts a smokescreen. Looks to me like we've had a perfect window once C&C are over the line. Generally though, if you think back to the Spygate presser, Bub seemingly keeps statistical analyses on all players throughout the world so these transfers are obviously his picks. Not sure anyone in management wants to argue or say no to him.

Aus Cantwell more of a box to box midfielder than traditional winger from what I can tell. Doesn't offer the searing pace of Kent or James but he has good touch, goals, assists and perhaps crucially very good movement. He also has entertaining and potentially irritating goal celebrations. If we get him, I see his arrival as the effective end for Tyler the Creator.

Agree Martyn, just need these final two confirmed and then I don’t think we’ll need to stay up on deadline day. The final loan place might be useful for a goalie if anyone takes Kiko off our hands but hard to see!
Now the challenge will be managing and developing that team of players, bit harder than last year I think with some new personalities and stronger competition for squad players!
Bring on the City, after seeing the Leicester game I think Bielsa will really fancy having a crack at them!

Martyn Agreed. They've really shown their intent and guts in the uncertain times but also their guile. I believe De Paul became mostly misdirection with talk now that we didn't actually even submit a formal bid. Once the 2 Cs are announced, we easily have assembled the best first team since 2000 and in light of the developing youth we now boast probably the strongest squad in our history.
