Taking look at all the Norwich related banter on here. Least when we go to Carrow Road next season (maybe not as they could be relegated) both sets of fans will sing We Are Leeds!!

Jonny how-much-money-son, bradley journeymanson And Robert slowgrass. How's life in the promised land? The grass isn't always greener on the other side.

Have a mate who's a Norwich season ticket holder, his words Saturday night were 'we're screwed'. Also thinks are former players were poor signings.

A couple of weeks ago, Snodgrass was the greatest player on the planet and the man to build a team round. Now that he has decided to leave and join another club he is suddenly rubbish and will get his new team relegated. Seem to remember similar comments about Beckford and Gradel and now everyone is wanting them back. Give it a season or two and Snodgrass's name be on here as a player who Leeds should sign back.

To be honest. I'm absolutley brassed off with this takeover talk and think it is and will have negatives on the team. It should be over by now and we should have the players in place to gel into a united unit. Sick of Bates and all this Walter Mitty, Man from uncle type stance. Come on for the good of the team and the fantastic manager we have. GET IT SORTED NOW.

Hopefully we keep getting experience this season and can be a star of the future. Hopefully we can keep players like this on long term contracts so we dont have to sell them for peanuts with 12mths left on their contracts

I dunno. There's a lot of pretenders out there
Having watched witan Qpr. Norwich ( ha ha ). Liverpool.
Where have all the great players gone. Remember the players that wanted to win rather than look good?
In my day you got paid for what you had done. Not for what you could do, maybe. Too much dosh about.
Anyway. Fact is, we are two good players off!
Quickee from wing. Dyer did well for Swansea. That
Sort of player. Swp opened his mouth too much without using his legs. And we need cb.
Good luck to all those lesser teams except Norwich.
How did qpr replace the Neil with mind my hair style Hughes. Gotta and do laugh!!!!

Not happy with all the posts about Greyson lately, saying he couldn't have done what Warnock has done and generally putting him in a bad light.

Now I do agree that Warnock is the better manager and has got pulling power to draw players to the club but I don't see why it has to be a competition. Greyson took us from league 1 to championship play off contenders. And yes he may have taken us as far as he could and it was the right time to bring someone new in. However lets not forget what he did for us and what a great bloke he was whilst doing it. He might not be quite as good as Warnock but he was miles better than any we'd had before him for a long long time. MOT.

Believable30 Unbelievable12

I suspect you may be related. The facts are their to be assessed. On the biggest budget we limped over the line getting out of an average league one. He then proceeded to buy trash and loan wasters who added nothing. He will do the same at Udders as he did at Blackpool before he joined us. Average mate nothing more TeeCee

Agree2 Disagree8

I am. Grayson is garbage who doesn't know how to use a squad with poor game tactics. Leeds deserve better managers and now we got one. Look to the future.

Agree6 Disagree10

And he is a Leeds United fan and was a product of our academy as a player so i don't understand why they slate him. Especially when they all want Beckford back? Yes beckford scored the goal that got us promoted but Grayson created and managed that team all season and he still stayed until we didnt want him anymore unlike Beckford..

Agree5 Disagree1

People also forget that Grayson is very young and already has 3 promotions. He probably needed a change as much as Leeds did but I still think he'll be a top manager in 10 years time. Surprised at the number of disagrees here. Some people have very short memories.

As for Warnock,- he may well get us up with a decent but ordinary group of players, he seems to have a real talent for it. I think we'll need a different kind of manager playing a very different kind of football once we reach the Premiership though.
ML

Agree6 Disagree1

Original poster here. And no not related. And I am looking to the future, I can't wait for this season and think we have a real shot, it's the people who are constantly belittling what Greyson achieved that are looking back.

And yes the facts are there Grayson took Blackpool up before leaving and taking Leeds up, before been sacked and taking Huddersfield up (which is something lee clarke couldn't seem to manage and he really did have big budgets for league 1 standards).

And yes it was a poor league that he got us out of but there were many managers before him who couldn't take us up. MOT

Re my experience of life. I have run my own business now for 20 years, prior to that I used to be a management accountant as a member of C.I.M.A. working for British blue chip companies ie Plessey and GEC.

In that role I have actualy been part of a due dilegence team (twice) . From my experiece I smell a big RAT.

I so hope I am wrong..... because I am desperate to see a new owner who will invest in Leeds united.

Yes he seem to got overlooked, but you noticed when he came off we had less possession so seems like he was holding a lot of the passing together and calming it down. However Diouf also kept possession well and passed when the time was right :)

For me warnock has not put a single foot wrong so far, man management skills are top notch, brilliant at taking pressure of players and giving praise and advice where its due, player selection is fantastic, we all questioned his signings at some point but its all fit together and we've got a real squad, like the old Leeds, hard work, not so dirty but hard in the tickled, I've missed that. He's spent the right money in the right places and panic buying hasn't happened as it did with simon grayson and let's be honest, under Grayson we'd of definitely lost McCormack by now, warnock has the pulling power to keep our players and he's done an outstanding job, work to be done but well done neil!

so 11 days left and the window shuts, must say performance was great on saturday, each player playing for each other. the thing we lack is the bit of flair on the wing, someone to open defenses up like snoddy could. hopefully the takeover will happen before the window shuts.

deakko7

Believable14 Unbelievable1

El Hadji Diouf has the flair to open defences... just needs a few more games under his belt to get a bit more match practice/fitness and he will be a big player for us this season. Has the ability and the experience that will help us get promotion this season.

Believable1 Unbelievable19

Every club he has been with he is number 44, its his lucky number and he would not play without it on his back.

Agree2 Disagree0

Don't think Warnock would take his favourite number off him just after he has signed a contract now would he...

Agree0 Disagree0

Hi, as above, he signs a new contract, is a fans favourite, and you expect us to believe he changes his number after two games? I know fans are exploited by clubs changing kits willy nilly year on year, but that sort of thing would be a new low.

Ok fellow whites lets stay focused. Recent posts here stating that people have been talking to ex players and that there is no takeover isn t helpfull, this is obviously not a real supporter, probably someone we already know on this site stirring again. We all know that just investing some loose cash doesn t require DD, if its real, its real cash. Now, as for the rumoured sightings of foreign visitors to the match on Saturday, I hope it is the potential new 'owner' and he sees what a good job his new team are doing, or even if its just some guy that was walking through the city centre and KB has given him a tenner to sit beside him and take the pressure off, who cares, 'our' team needs us so make it loud. Player report from a big newspaper for 3 of the 'Budgies' on Saturday. Johnson: Allowed Bryan Ruiz too much room. Howson: Little impression in the midfield. Snodgrass: Started brightly but soon faded. Have you bitten off more than you can chew lads !

Believable24 Unbelievable0

The thing is with Robert is that he was and will always be too slow for the premiership. Times have gone where slow players ala La Tiss were able to amble around the football pitch, unless they retire to playing the position sat in front of the back four, Lampard, Scholes etc. In the championship his predictable shape to go outside then cut inside is effective, however he will be found out quick in the premier league as shown on saturday. There is no denying he has ability, however a top championship player is his limit.

I was at Fulham this weekend to see our former midfield in action, truth is Johnson never had it, Howson was running round like a headless chicken, playing neither holding or attacking role, Snoddy, hasn’t got the skill at that level and his pace is way off, and the fact he was having a go at the Norwich defence for not picking up his man said it all to me. The faults were endless and I actually had to thank Uncle Ken for being a tight bleep over the year.
But most pleasing comment came when I over heard a Norwich fan moaning away, he said “If all we buy is Leeds players then we’ll end up playing like bloody Leeds not we, f*cking useless the lot of em’…” to which I replied …”they earned Leeds 5 and a half million…”
But he is right, looking back as much as we have loved these players, they have all at times on the big stage gone missing, and only become big once another has left or had a bad run, so I can, although a little sadly say, I wont be missing our old midfielders, and best of luck to them for the future.

Hope all the lads do us proud on Tues, against the Pool. I probably will not even get chance to listen on radio, with been away with kids for 5 days to butlins. This is my kids time right now because every match after this is dedicated to, the LUFC way.
Lets all hope this prince in the stands on saturday, is really the man to get this club back where it should of been 7 years ago. ether way, you've got to take your hat off to the SGT WARNOCK, he's done wonders now he's put his own team togeather. People wouldn't stop slatting him when he first came in. Not one of them stopped to think, he's having to work with Graysons p=ss poor players and he's a manager, not a magician.
