Use our rumours form to send us leeds transfer rumours.

20 Jun 2012 20:52:53
Listening to supporters trust meeting live now on ustream, all sounds very promosing.

Especially the fact that they are saying the interested parties don't just want to take leeds to the premier league and survive, they want to go beyond that and have significant funds to back it up!!

Personally i don't want the club to get buckets of cash. Just enough to improve facilities and get leeds back up there where we belong. Hopefully they will give us something to look forward too for our hard earned money

Just listening to LUST meeting, they Know nowt about injection/takeover.
They're pleading with the club to let the supporters know what's happening.

Believable2 Unbelievable5

Bates is defo playing us if it comes out now, that there is no investment or takeover. Why do we keep sitting back and allowing this cockney to fleece are club. A bit of honesty from the man, would at least give him some credability. Does he want to be remembered as the man who f==k lufc over or the man who took us forward.
Balls in your court Bates, you decide.

Been a leeds fan since born in 1972. Things are deffo going on behind the scenes for sure, but lets think about when Grayson was sacked, we were not in a bad position in the league! Warnock was bought in for a reason and that was because the new owners to be wanted him in place to give us a chance of promotion to where we belong...... Kuwait seems likely!!

Leeds united have made two signings in two days now we are on the rebuild just show patience pays off. great additions providing experience in areas which it was needed. now let's hope patience is the key to a takeover and well deserved investment into this team.

In warnock WE trust, stick together and promotion could be on the cards just needs to buy some class now.

There is a very strange atmosphere around Elland Road and Leeds surporters at the moment.....What is more strange is our Owner is never quiet, always something to say or moan about.....nothing from him since before the court case.....my guess is that KB is ill and wants out......

He would usually be spouting his head off by now at all the takeover romours.

Believable3 Unbelievable1

On the contrary, there is usually a penalty clause involved in breaking the silence over takeovers like this...

.... even Ken Bates wouldn't want to lose money out of his OWN pocket!

Hopefully with Bates, no news is good news.

2 good signings, in Pearce and Drury and dont forget we have paddy and davide to come back, who are like new signings, who will be the next player to come to Elland Road.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

If Paddy gets in the team nw won't have got the players he needs,he looked like he was running through treacle before his latest injury...Somma could still do some sort of job for us though

Okay we have signed Adam Drury a left back for free of Norwich.. Oh no Leeds are going to not compete.. (I hope you can tell i'm being facetious)

He has signed a consistent CHAMPIONSHIP level player that has knowledge and experience on what it takes to get out of this league. (Some people expecting us to sign Leighton Baines or why not go for Jordi Alba?)

We need to live between our means, can you name any left back in the premiership bar the top 10 that are as good as or better than Drury? I can't.. I think he is a great forward step and because he is a free transfer it means that the t's are crossed and the i's are dotted with regards to the takeover, or atleast close enough for the league to sanction the transfer. Paddy Kenny looks a sure thing now which is again another great aquisition. A 2 year contract is a very good deal too as we can use him to get out of the league and then have him for cover next year when/if we get promoted until we move further ahead with the times.

Leeds United yes are a massive club by history and stature, but at the current time we need to realise we are in the championship along with a LOT of very good teams that will want the same as us. The fact that we are already 2 signings ahead of the vast majority of all the other championship clubs is a great thing. Keep the faith and lets all MOT... we have a bright future, I can feel it.

Took this paragraph from the o/s and think there is 5 words which stand out "there's obviously big things ahead"

"After I'd met him and spoke to him, and the way he sold the club…there's obviously big things ahead. This is a great opportunity for me at this stage of my career and I want to be a part of it."

Has Neil gave Adam some inside information?

Belfast Leeds

Believable4 Unbelievable0

I read that as "I could have retired, but Leeds gave me too good a contract to turn down."

Players always come out with rubbish like that when they sign for a club.

I feel the signing of Drury means that there will not be a big pot of money available when/if the take over or investment is sorted, would we have acquired Drury if we had money to spend?

Believable3 Unbelievable6

Yes we would of still gone for Drury. Just because we have money doesnt mean we are going to signa team of International players in their early 20's for big money. Neil Warnock's job is to build a team which can get us into the Premiership. So far he has brought in a great central defender in Jason Pearce who will fast become a fans favourite... and now he has brought in a left back who has all the experience needed to help the younger defenders at the club mature into great players. Drury has and knows what it takes to get promotions, he can defend well (probably end up been the best LB we have had since we won the league with regards to defending) and maybe it is just what Ady White needs if he is planning on staying. someone he can learn from and better his game.

Agree6 Disagree0

Drurys signing was to get some experience in the back four, nothing to do with money. He is just warming Charlie Taylors slot until he gains some experience from going out on loan Think about it.

Agree3 Disagree0

Wrong, Warnock said all along there would be some freebies as well as some commanding a fee. If a player has something to offer and he's a freebie, there is nothing wrong in signing him at all. Drury clearly has plenty to offer. It's called good business.

Agree0 Disagree0

Okay so because we signed a free transfer player it means we haven't got money? We don't need to throw money at every problem for it to be solved, if they are good enough and have no price attached it can surely only be a good thing? Who should we have signed instead of then in your opinion for that position?

I've seen a few comments on articles and even one article in particular where the signing of Adam Drury has been slagged off and basically been called a rubbish signing which I think is appauling!

Baring in mind these people, as Leeds fans, have probably only seen him play when its been against Leeds I think its very sad of some people to 'judge a book' before reading it. Get off his back, give the guy a chance and get behind him, after all, we've been crying out for a decent, permanent LB for some time!

All the Norwich fans I've seen pass comment have not had a bad word to say about him and say hes a brilliant professional! Bout time some of our 'supporters' started cutting players some slack! Keep the faith!

Scot MOT!

Believable9 Unbelievable0

Well said mate we as Leeds fans sometimes don't do ourselves any favours we have developed a reputation for slagging off players before we give them a chance. Get behind the guy don't knock his confidence before he even starts I'm sure he's bigger and better than that anyway. Cummon Leeds

Agree3 Disagree0

Very very well said!

Agree0 Disagree0

Remember when we were relegated to the third division? we signed an old left back who couldn't get into a mid table Blackburn side called Michael Gray. it all looks too similar. i see the same happening again if the club don't buck up their ideas.

Anyone thinking that takeover is already complete due to the signing of drury? I doubt they would sign anyone if the takeover wasn't complete or in very advanced stages.. Also by confirming takeover too soon could lead to be ripped off by other teams. MOT

Believable1 Unbelievable2

We haven't paid anything for him, only he salary from July! NW has already stated he needs to balance the salaries of the outgoing and incoming players, couple that to savings on the salaries of the already released/contract expiry players which end at the same time as we start to pay Drury. JH

Tbf I think drury is a decent signing, if you look at our back four before he came in we've got a CB who hasn't played for us yet, a kid and a lad who could be leaving anytime soon, I think another CB or right back perhaps peltier? Whill complete our back four, next we need 2 CM's and a striker, obviously this is all depoendent on the takeover, MOT!
