Couldn't agree more Defo a David batty of 2011
Agree0

Clayton is a far better player than Batty ever was To be fair though they are completely different types. How fickle we all are. Last year when he came on as a sub there were groans all round the ground and questioning as to why Grayson bought him. Look at us now

I was one who mocked Adam Clayton last season when he looked like a rabbit in headlights and was totally unable to pass the ball to anyone in the same coloured shirt. This season he is magnificent and must be our top rated player so far. Never have I been so delighted to be so wrong sure he must have caught Capello's eye. MOT

I personally think we should sell gradel for the future of the club, I think he over achieved last season, I think we should take the money but only if ken will let us use it on other players, don't think he will sign a new contract, beckford johnson n killa would of stayed if we offered good money, so look at it this way sell gradel and invest in new players or keep him for the rest of the season and hope he plays like he did last season but lose him and not gain a penny at the end of the season, am I talking rubbish or do u all argee?
Believable4
Unbelievable1
Total rubbish Gradel is total class and it showed today. West ham had to bring on two right backs to mark him and they still couldn't stop him. New contract required Ken
Agree0
Disagree0
U really think ken is gonna play over the odds to keep him? Get a grip, Your in dream land go back to sleep, if we don't sell him we will lose him on a free like the rest, cash in and use the money, he is replacable let's move forward
Agree0
Disagree0
Offer him a contract with a substantial wage increase if we go up, he might go for it and finding somebody as good would be difficult
Agree0
Disagree0
It's a total hypothetical question.
If there was even the slightest chance that we were going to let Max go we'd have signed Mendy.

Hope Ed posts this:
I've justifiably criticised the team, SG and Andy Keogh's signing earlier in this campaign.
I would like to take this opportunity to apologise to the team, who in the last two games have shown that they have got the potential to compete in this league this season.
Apologies to SG who I believed would stubbornly not change the defence or the obviously not working 4-5-1. He must have been tempted to change back today but to his credit he didn't and this suits us so much.
We looked like quite a force in both 4-4-2 games.
Andy Keogh - what can I say.
I thought it was a rubbish signing. I'm a big enough man to admit I was well, well, well wrong. He has been outstanding (Ross McCormack benefits from him so much) and if Andy plays anything like this, all the way through his loan SG would be mad not to sign him permanently.
I've got a fork Andy, pass me the humble pie

I watched the game this aft and we out played the best team in the league in their own back yard for 83 minutes but did anyone else notice our total lack of attacking aerial presence from corners and free kicks? keogh aside, with a few flicks here and there, i don't recall seeing one leeds head being first to the ball. We dominate the play when we have the ball on the ground playing to feet, hull and todays game are proof. Clayton is becoming a little legend btw. MOT

Think we should sell gradel, hes becoming a liability, sending offs and missed penalties. good player like snodgrass, just dont think their hearts are in for playing for leeds. Gj
Believable3
Unbelievable5
Are you smoking something? Gradel was one of our better players today, penalty miss aside. He's always willing to get his head down and run at players providing quality crosses with either foot, something that top premiership wingers fail to do. We could sell him for 5 mil but then where do we go to replace him? we're struggling to attract quality players as it is without debating selling one of our best.
Agree0
Disagree0
Snodgrass should take penilties, gradle took one when he was injured and now thinks he should take them all, move aside and let our number one take them
How can you say either don't wantntonplay for Leeds, did younsee them play today, made supposedly the best team in the league look average, and made there full backs look league 1 standard
Agree0
Disagree0
Correct, keep off thr wacky baccy,EVERYBODY misses penalties now and again, look at his performance today,he is arguably our best player and would be a shame if we do sell him for however much money, were close now to having a squad to challenge for promotion, think SG will bring another couple in,get our injured players back and its as strong a squad as any in the league.

Well said gradel was outstanding today(apart from pen) snoddy looked far worse than gradel but i still wouldnt sell either, and clayton boy wonder in the making

21 Aug 2011 18:11:47
Well played today but can't help thinking we could of won the game had grayson changed it a bit sooner and i don't understand taking a striker (and our top scorer) off when we were losing. Snodgrass poor again, did one good thing and that was the work in the build up to ross's goal. His set pieces were atrocious, either hit the 1st man or put it too deep, don't understand why he has to take everything. Surely someone else has a better quality delivery. And adam clayton absolutley superb again, think that's 5 man of the match's in 5 games from him, but she should of been challenging at leeds last year instead of being out on loan and having players like livermore in the team?
Believable2
Unbelievable1
Personally i think sending clayton out on loan last year has made him into the player we see now, likewise with tom lees. If he had stayed he would have been behind killkenny and johnson.
Agree0
Disagree0
Snood's deliveries were to front post, as we had no hight that was our best option. And he played out standing, that's why the commentators were saying, west ham just can't cope with leeds width and pace
Agree0

What game were u watching? Snodgrass never once managed to beat a man and get the ball into the box, he is a winger who lacks pace and crossing ability and was poor again

Lonergan Superb, Gradel Superb, Clayton Superb. Good result, we should have won to be honest but still excellent result I think Tom Lees needs to start commiting to challenges more too. O'Dea hasnt got it. We need at least 1 more defender and we have an excellent side. Good result boys. MOT

Some fans you are.
If I served you the worlds greatest ice cream you'd complain it didn't have a flake in it.
Two weeks ago against Southampton we were a joke.
Last two games, we batter a local derby team and leave the favourites for the title considering themselves lucky to get a point at home, even though we scored in the last minute.
Stop complaining and believe that maybe, just maybe, we actually might have a half decent team.

Id Just like to say how proud i am of the boys today. The work ethic was phenominal and we probably deserved more than just the point. I thought Keogh was awesome today, he was a willing runner all game, working the channels, great link up play and holding up of the ball for the team. The passion today is something that Grayson has instilled into these boys and its rubbing off on our performances.

I tell you what
Leeds were outstanding for long periods today. I know we were away at Upton Park, but i truly believe we deserved more than a point. If we play that well all season, we will definitely be making a promotion push
On a downside, we do still struggle from set pieces, maybe it's some authority and height we need at the back. Our goalkeeper, Lonergan, is different class at the moment too.
Finally, I was thinking Nunez may start ahead of Gradel today... Good thing I'm not the manager then isn't it Gradel was outstanding

I agree about nunez to start insted of gradel, but good job he started gradel insted , gradel ripped them apart we have a strong team and were starting to attack again like last season we have players that can rip teams apart in gradel, snoddy, nunez, clayton and howson when he not playing in a deffensive position we will be up there this season we just needed to get conffidence and hit for mcormack will hit 20+ this season scored more than last season already he has hit form and looks a tottaly differnt player him and keogh together excellent sighn keogh perm or season loan way forward

A really good team performance today, every player on the pitch wanted to be there and derserved to be wearing there shirts. Clayton again had a fantastic game MOTM for me. Keogh had a really game also.
However saying all that still areas for improvement looked really shakey when defending set pieces and need some height in the team.

After recent results and looking back at the pre season ups and downs i'm begining to think grayson as more upstairs than meets the eye. Looking at the players loaned out and come back better players etc and the players we didn't sign i'm thinking of some master stroke somewhere along the line. One more thing to add there as got to be unrest at leicester, you can't have all them players and a 5 sub ruling. The proof will be at the end of the season and i think we'll be there or there abouts. All the best simonn grayson and keep up the good work.

Leeds to sign MiNan, had both knees replaced around 6 years ago and still can't walk long distances. However is willing to play in any position and all for the princely sum of a packet of werthers and a nice cup of PG tips. This would fit nicely into Uncle Kens wage bracket, the only thing that might scupper the deal is the fact Max Gradel might also want in on the werthers as part of his contract negotiations. This came from a very reliable source who I can't mention or he might get fired from his job as a steward but I guarantee 100000% it's true MOT
