very interesting that Ed. At first glance i thought he was DJ'ing in that image!

{Ed001's Note - there are some very good clips from him on Coaches Voice (and YouTube) of him explaining his tactics etc. Well worth a watch. And glad you enjoyed, it was the first attempt at profiling managers, rather than players.}

Coaches Voice did a very good piece on Wilko as well.

Great evening in Tadcaster. Well done to the club for providing the base for an enjoyable experience.

First half better but more goals in the second! Roberts, as others have said looked classy in the first. He worked well with Stevens and Edmondson and we missed him at the start of the second. He was driving us forward and Izzy takes time to get going. Not sure why IB didn't play the whole game, perhaps to give Roberts another chance at 10. Izzy came into as the game went in and started to show better touches.

Aapo full of confidence, great header for the goal and an assist for Diaz as well. The three CBS all looked good. Tom Pearce, getting back to fitness and made some good runs and superb cross for the first goal. Stevens made some great runs with the ball but final ball missing a few times.

Great to see Ryan getting another goal.

Creditable performance, when we went 1-2 down, didn't think we would get back into it as Southampton we're starting to play a bit down the wing. But we regrouped and got a great result.

Can't have done Aapos chances any harm for Saturday. Gives us height in both defense and attack.

we could do with a bit more size in the team.

I've said that a few times alf, specially when Coops was out, Pontus and BPF looked like giants.

Some excellent football this evening from u23 @ Tadcaster. Man of the match for me was Halme superb!

Some nice football from the u23's tonight especially in the first 30 minutes.

Stevens looked a threat, Roberts was a class above and so many of the back line were oozing confidence on the ball.

Interested to see how long it takes McCalmont to make the step up!

On a more unfortunate note, it may be the end of Berardis season. He could be heard hitting the dugout from across the pitch when he was forced off just before half time. Also Brown looks a way off the first team pace for now. MOT.

3 - 2 win for the U-23s, Roberts and Brown a half each, Berardi off with a tight hammy but apparently walked up the tunnel ok. Goals for Halme, Diaz and Edmondson. A not too shabby evening by the sounds of it. Oh and btw, Frank Lampard's Dirty County have signed another little angel, Cashley Cole, at the very young age of 38! no giggling in the cheap seats thank you 🤣😂🤣.

Possibly because their usual left back hasn’t slept since he faced Clarke 😂😂.

Beradi off in the first half holding his hamstring. Doesn't look good.

If Leeds made only one more signing in January what position would you favour? A new 10 a forward a midfielder new centre half?

Mine would be quick winger, either creator like Madison or goal scoring one like James (although he hasn’t scored many the fact he can play central says they think he will.

Primarily, a replacement for Samu, to ease the burden on Pablo.

The Rotherham game is a must win as much as the Norwich and other upcoming games. If we can score early and keep at them should be okay, if Rotherham score first they will be hard to break down.
With Norwich just feel every goal they score other teams are having to score two.
We are playing well but need to find the net more often, returning injuries will only help us find our form again.

No complaints as been the best season for us in yonks.

If your going to lose Pontus for one game you might just choose Rotheram but who is the replacement, that's the question. Is it Halme - straight swap. Is it KP - lose him further forward Is it Ayling - bring Shackleton in. Again a poser for MB but for me the biggest decision is upfront where he may decide to blood Brown (with the instruction "go enjoy yourself) put a spark into the attack. Finally, just remembered, who is in goal? BPF did nothing to drop himself against Stoke so does he keep the jersey?

If Berardi comes through the under 23 game today I expect him to partner cooper, that’s the partnership that started the season.

Anyone else worried that we only have 1 win in the last 5 games! Appreciate one was in the cup against QPR, but still a bad run?

Yeah. Bit of a concern. Hope we can return to winning ways sat.
Just need more signings. Not enough completion on starters.

Aye Dave, six wins in row, followed by one win in five. Need points at Rotherham, or confidence might go down. Interesting to see how we go on with Norwich in a fortnight, the chief campaigners for us to have points docked. Hope they draw at Sheffield this weekend.

Dave We've missed KP and in midfield. Want to see Halme start. Tempted to bench Clarke again and bring him on second half. I'd also drop Harrison for Roberts and accommodate him somewhere.

Other woody, we have played well in some of the defeats but we were awful at stoke, I don’t think we really deserved anything from that game, Ayling header 5 mins from time and Alioski shot for the goal is all we created in 90 mins, and we were chasing the game at that point, the attack was too laboured and the ball didn’t get moved quick enough all game to cause stoke any problems. tbf to MB he didn’t have a great deal on the bench to alter things. hopefully a win at Rotherham will set it up nicely for Norwich the wk after. we are desperate for more attacking options on the bench.

I’m with you there George.
Another point worth making, is that still have to play 11 of the bottom 12 teams again, I believe, so no reason we can’t string together another good run. Onwards to the title boys!

I know what you’re saying and the temptation after a loss is always to do that

Tbh when I coached, when we lost a game my attitude was to start with the same team to put it right

Continuity is key to winning leagues. We won a few

We were brilliant against Derby, ok less so vs Stoke

Bad day at the office, move on.

Too many people having off days together. The main thing missing was tempo. One touch quick moves.
