I read a post on the bbc website after the nott forest game. It said Leeds put in a performance better than had ever been seen in the championship? Wat did go wrong? Radz? U tell us?

The players probably thought oh bugger if we play like this every week we may get scouted by a bigger team, may be in with a good shout of a pay rise, may be in with a good chance of promotion etc. But then they realised that they were playing for Leeds United and thought that the fans won’t be used to it and may start to wonder wtf is going on. So they started to play rubbish again.

Give Tom Pearce a few games to bed himself in then let's think about a partner for Pontus. With O'Connor, Struijk and Halme waiting in the wings what better time to blood them, nothing to lose. Hopefully Halme will be fit before the end of the season and for pre season we have Shaugnessy coming back. He impressed me whenever he played in the back four which sadly was not often enough.

Soooooo If u23 are coming good. Then maybe it is a 5 yr plan. Maybe only 4-8 of the 200 odd ones for the future were ever meant to make it. Have we misjudged orta. He has bought a few good now ones and a few bad ones. A lot of the semi performing players from last year that orta didn't but have been pretty dire this year. I think heck should start playing mostly the 11 - 16 players that he expects to be in squad team next year. See how they perform and step up. Let us all see what sorta youth we have got and their ability. Honestly. We have nothing to lose. I really can't see the current first team winning another game this season. let's have some fun and get the younguns in. Even if it means 4 or 5 of them at once. Just explain to them no pressure. Enjoy your football.

Aus if you put 4 or 5, U23's in at once you will destroy them . The first thing Tom Pearce said was it is a step up in class . They need to be managed, there is a gulf between where they are now and Championship football and putting in too many, too early would destroy the good work and their future development.

Dosent matter if they lose. They will be getting used to champ football. I do enjoy beating up on orta martyn, so that would be a possibility.

Agree Alf. Look back to when Redfearn and Thommo played Byram, Taylor, Cook and Mowatt. They thrived on the occasions, team spirit was high and results were good.

Aus, don't know about 4/5 together but I am with you all the way. Give them a go. If just a few flourish we could save millions and have a settled (succesfull) team for years to come.

I don't think we will win a game otherwise. I think pont berahdi forshaw and saiz will thrive on the responsibility of helping the youth.

I think of the young guns Pearce needs to retain his place for the rest of the season and BPF. Of the rest Dalby looks most ready to step up and enjoy some game time. Too soon for some but maybe struijk, clarke and temunzhukov could get some time right at the end of the season. Don't forget we still have Tyler Roberts to come back from injury soon hopefully (cracked shin) . Though he is still 19 he is used to first team football. He's meant to be quite pacy too so if he does well I'd think about selling Roofe in the summer to get a £1m or 2 for other signings.
