Won't do any harm to bring DB in til Jan, see if he makes a good contribution. If he doesn't then send him back. Personally I think he could do a job, alternate between Smith and him and keep the pressure on for places. The lad is familiar with the demands of this league, and while not prolific he does provide a good target. MOT

Please could anyone put another perspective on what Ryan Hall has said. I understand what he has put, but I for one don't see what is so bad about it, especially not suspension.
Perhaps I am looking at it from the wrong angle. Anyone able to give another perspective that I may not be seeing?

On the other hand a wonderful result yesterday, really chuffed. Is that our biggest win for a decade?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Ryan Hall is not doing anything different to other Senior players (they know who they are) but obviously I can't post their names!

Wake up and smell the Roses Guys

Agree0 Disagree0

It shows a complete lack of respect for the club, staff and fans. Not to mention his fellow players who offer their all for the team. It highlights the fact that his primary goal is the pay cheque at the end of the month, as opposed to repaying the trust of the manager. No time should be spent on that waste of space, let alone any more money.

Agree0 Disagree0

He has basically shown he is not willing to fight for his place and work hard. For him money is the only reason he is sticking around but he is not going to bother to work hard.
That's my perspective, and most probably GFH and Brian's perspective. I think brian probably saw a lack of effort and now this on twitter would have angered him before an important game

Agree0 Disagree0

O.p. here.thanks poster 2, that makes a lot of sense.

Agree0 Disagree0

Maybe we as a club can take the L out of dole, so he can get his doe that way.
he should be sacked.
just another of colin's waste of spaces.

Agree0 Disagree0

Could we sack him on the grounds that he's not fully committed to the job he's employed to do?

Agree0 Disagree0

O.p. here. I'n not claiming to be an expert however I don't think we could sack him based on that. Could we? There must be abit more to it I reckon.

Can some one please post the comments made from Ryan hall on here cause am not on Twitter . Would just like to know what he's said . Cheers boys and let's have another great 3 points at town on Saturday . Mot.

It was something to do with getting paid even when you don't play.Said football is a short career and you have to make as much as you can.

Just heard on radio that we've suspended Ryan Hall for abusing Leeds fans on tweeter. Well that's one way to try and off load some dead wood, if w can't sell em, try and sack em!

What are peoples thoughts on the Ryan Hall situation?

L3EDS {Ed013's Note - Cancel his contract! Most of us graft to pay our bills and go to the games to enjoy our Club. Not to see a comment like that where we contribute to his pay, just my opinion! He isn't being played at Leeds because he isn't good enough, but should still respect the fans that turn up and pay all that money. If he was good enough Brian would play him, either that or his attitude is how I suspect, terrible}

Only just heard it on the radio, what's he posted mate? {Ed013's Note - He said something along the lines of he isn't bothered if he is played, take the L out of played and I still get payed!}

Agree0 Disagree0

It does feel like any means neccessary though. As in they will be looking to cancel his contract to free up the wages.

But, you just don't come out with comments like that. No commitment to the Leeds or Sheffield.

Agree0 Disagree0

I feel he has a point about earning as much money as possible in a short career, I think we all would given the chance, but his original comment is just disrespectful, not just to Leeds fans but football fans around the world, after all if the fans weren't around then these players would be fighting with everyone else to find a normal job (Some of them probably should be anyway, the way they perform).

I know a lot of people on here are saying that it was a poor Birmingham team that we beat and not to read too much into it. but come on guys! after the performance from our lads on Sunday we would of beat 95% of the Championship teams playing like that. let's not be all negative after we won 4-0.

Paddy Kenny had a solid game and was equal to their best efforts, stayed on his toes and was there when we needed him.

The back 3 had probably their best game of the season, there were several occasions when they got last minute tackles in and cleared off the line. They threw themselves in front of anything and everything to see we kept our clean sheet.

The midfield looked massively improved, Austin was a machine and never stopped running. Murphy had probably his best game in a Leeds shirt with neat passing and composed touches. Byram and Mowatt were a massive threat the full match and looked dangerous when ever they got the ball.

Ross and Smithy linked up well together, yes Ross missed a few chances before he scored but after recent games his confidence will have been low but fair play to the lad he never gave up and was rewarded with a well earned goal. Matty Smith on his first league start could of and maybe should have bagged a hat trick if his bullet shot would of stood, he was only fractionally offside and other days they are left to play on.

Come on boys and girls let's get behind them and move on to the next game. Don't take negatives from a top class performance.

It was an excellent effort by all - up to the point that Austin was substituted by Brown who's first action of the game (surprise surprise), was to run up to a Birmingham player and foul him?

Why on earth was Austin substituted in any case with just a couple of minutes left, unless it was just for the applause he rightly deserved!

I was hoping BMD had dropped Brown but no luck there then.

Just left a slightly bad taste in the mouth for me.

austin was brought off just to get the applause like you said and for me brown is a good player to bring on at that time in a game .he is very good at breaking up play by fouling people and if he gets booked its not a big problem for the squad . it did worry me to see austins knee rapped up after the game .

Agree0 Disagree0

Birmingham were poor, but you can only beat what's in front of you and we did the job well. Bournmouth were shocking the other week and we limped over the line in that one. There was definitely a committed improvement yesterday, so let's hope we can keep up the good work. The new formation worked well and Austin was fantastic. Byram and Mowatt are a big bonus. These young lads are pure talent and we need to keep them. I'm not getting carried away, I still don't think we will finish above mid table without investment, but I certainly don't think we'll get dragged into a relegation fight.

Agree0 Disagree0

" brown is a good player to bring on at that time in a game .he is very good at breaking up play by fouling people and if he gets booked its not a big problem for the squad "

Are you kidding? Have you seen how many times this guy has been sent off in his career and left ten men (or less!) on the pitch? How is that not a big problem for the squad?

And how can anyone be a good player to bring onto the pitch with two or three minutes remaining and being 4-0 up at that stage? Especially someone who challenges players wrecklessly and gives away needless free kicks? Maybe someone who can keep hold of the ball, perhaps, but not someone who is reknowned for giving it straight to the opposition for free kick after free kick by committing one foul after another?

You know what? That team that played yesterday. Looks a hell of a good side on paper. And playing that formation. If we stick with this . Injuries allowing. Maybe we don't need much more strengthening at all? Just would be nice tho. Winger. Striker centre back so well covered in all positions. I think the Huddersfield game will show if this was just a one off. Hope not . Because stick with it . The lads can only get better.

Been a while since we played like that!

Neil Warnock, although not one of us fans favourite blokes, but bringing Rudy in was probably one of the best things he did for us. He was very impressive yesterday and has been, on the whole, very solid this season so far. Everyone loves a trier, and Rudy is just that.

I still feel, despite scoring 4 yesterday, that we are a goalscorer short, the lads done great, don't get me wrong, but there will be games where we only get a couple of chances, not 15+ like yesterday, and those chances will need to be taken, that said, if we can put a consistent run together now and hopefully push up the table a bit we could well find ourselves in the chase for a play-off spot come the end of the season.

From a league position / points total so far I would say we are not far off what we need to be. I would have liked another 3 points at this stage, but essentially all I ever thought we would be able to do is stay with the "pack" and make sure we are there abouts to get into the play offs this year.

Initially my thoughts were QPR and Wigan were going to run away with this league, but with Wigans European involvement and the emergence of Burnley, IMO the play offs is what we should target, believe me I am aware there are still some formidable teams out there, Reading, Forest etc but I genuinely think we have a chance as long as we don't drift away, points wise.

I can also now see why BMD is after another CB, if the WB formation is what we will be employing, then we need cover. White might get a chance and I think Byram and Peltier are good enough for the right hand side. Up front, we still need a "proven goal scorer" but the current guys might still come good. Not reading too much into this win, but one win can lead to another and so on and the next 4 teams are all winnable games for us.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I agree completely.

A goalscorer is required, missed chances will cost us in other games, but enough of the negative talk, the lads effort yesterday was what it should be every game, top class.

Here's hoping this win will be the catalyst for more of them performances. I would take 1-0 wins, or even draws against some of the harder teams in the league, provided the effort was there.

Still a very very long way to go.
9 points away from relegation.
10 points from auto promotion

AND

An absolute chasm between what where we are now and what would be required to stay up in premiership were we to be promoted.

We'll enjoy the result. but this is a long haul job and its clear BMD is having to tout the line "working with the players we have".

They will just have to get better individualy and as a team the old fashioned way"

"Work their @r$e$ off"

Cheers,

Score line a bit flattering. An open goal and sloppy back pass and they had one off the line. So could have been a draw really. Bet we don't win the next game
Gotcha!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Yes your right about the flattering score line for Birmingham. We should have scored more! MOT

Agree0 Disagree0

Matt smith rocket shot into top corner was never offside and not forgetting the amount of times we got in behind them but as you only watched from your armchair ausman you can't of seen all the chances we created.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ausman, they had half chances, we had atleast 6 full chanes. We will beat Huddersfield and then charlton ( I think it is), it's December I'm not looking forward to.

It was a joke boys. Thought the gotch would have given it away. Silly me!

Agree0 Disagree0

Was I watching the same game ausman? thought we could of been 6 7 or even 8 up given the chances we had yes we got a rub of the green but for god sake don't you think we deserved it after the bad run we've had

I would like to draw attention to the little one-two plays between byram and mowatt today. All little bit of class. Simple enough but its one of the little things we lack. To see that today, especially from academy products, was a tiny glimpse of what we could have with these players

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Totally agree but Austins passing was also outstanding. They were spot on!
