I guess you didn't watch aus! I'm visiting family in Texas right now so no chance of watching a real sport. Having to make do with watching a girls game played by men in pyjamas (baseball) . Sad state of affairs really.

Team for Tuesday lads? My choice Felix, Pontus, Conor, CBJ and Anita Klich Pavel Roofe Hernandez Sacko Grot Wouldn't want any of first 11 playing 3 games in 6 days re Sheffield United

Would like to see Lonners in. Keepers aren't subject to the same degree of fatigue as others and the extra game time, at this stage, would be valuable.

21 Oct 2017 21:17:40
Syd, what formation is that, only 2 cm, and Hernandez is more a number 10.

Agree0 Disagree0

22 Oct 2017 18:00:22
I know some of the lads are a bit short but 2cm is taking the michael!

22 Oct 2017 21:42:07
Like Sunday park football Del . Get 11 players then work on formation. But, Could play Coops and Pennington half each beside Pontus then stick Conor in his more favoured CM role beside Klich. Or if Dallas returns then stick Anita in the midfield .

Be interesting to see who replaces the Bull Beradi on Friday so need to keep that in mind. Shame Coyle not there as I believe he will be a good one later .

Just something I thought earlier, with the silly season approaching and football clubs Chairman get squeaky bums, I made a list of managers whose time is coming to an end, see what you think. West Ham’s Slaven Bilic, Everton’s Ronald Koeman, Stoke’s Mark Hughes, Sheffield Wednesday’s Carvalheo (if that’s how you spell it) Reading’s Jaap Stam and finally Middlesborough’s very own head Garry Monk! A £10 accumulator should pay well! Anybody else I’ve missed, thoughts guys for a bit of fun! MOT

I think that's a great dabble Mike, plus, like syd says, SG.

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Oct 2017 23:25:19
Good suggestion and I did ponder on it but the reason I didn’t pick Larry at Sunderland is that they have very little finance and it would cost a bit to let him go, and to be honest who could they afford that’s any better than Larry! Ian Holloway at QPR is another and he did get the dreaded vote of confidence last week from Fernandez! On another note it makes a very nice change for the list of front runners in the sack race not to include a Leeds United managers name, how times change! MOT

Think Sunderland could go through a list of ex Leeds managers available on the cheap. Good point re QPR as well mate.

Great result today and well done TC, your choices made the difference today. We now need to keep up the momentum as to not let Wolves run away with it, I don’t think Sheff Utd will last as they have not had a bad run yet and no injuries, same with Cardiff, ok for now but injuries and a bad run to come, Villa are moving forward as are Derby but if we beat Sheff Utd, Derby and Wolves then we can look forward to a good new year! I believe! MOT

Long way to go but got a feeling that the losses and todays game could be an important turning point in the season. Tc has made some important decisions, Viera more obvious, Pennington less so and braver. But showing he can and will adapt. Gave the players a lot of confidence as well. Great result, nit too many will beat city 3-0 at home i think.

Much improved performance today all over the pitch. We played the pretty stuff at the right times but we also put s boot through it today when we had to which is where we've come unstuck recently. Vieria was excellent today along side O'Kane and thought the more advanced role suited Phillips - well done TC and the boys 👍🏻

Got to say Berardi is a disgrace. No place for headbutting in football, broke Taylor's nose. He can expect a long ban, he has let the whole team and club down.

Agree1 Disagree4

21 Oct 2017 19:08:15
The formation looks better with the players used today. Taylor was looking to get beradi sent off. Yea he achieved it but backfired on him too. Saw Jannson react with their bench. Shame he hasn't had that much passion on the field lately.

Taylor will think twice about going looking for something that he can't handle next time! There maybe no room for that in football but if someone came at me the way Taylor did then they should expect to receive something

Sure all players will get deserved praise today, but all credit to TC today. Has shown he’s a manager who can adapt and take brave decisions. Can you have imagined the stick he would have got having dropped Pontus we had not got a positive result today. TC my MOM today, happy Saturday again!

21 Oct 2017 18:22:31
Sounds like this formation suited us better today. Can any guys who attended the match shed some light on how the defence played today, I assume we stopped this continual passing back to the keeper and sideways passing. I thought last week we allowed Reading to push up on us as we sat back deep in our own half. A stronger midfield today from all accounts.

Agree Battymatty, Saiz got knocked off the ball too easily last week as Reading had players doubling up on him at times as our midfield was lightweight. RV offers us abit more bite, we do need to watch the yellow cards though as they are starting to mount up. Happy for a clean sheet today and good result against a team in form and on a good home record . Hopefully this will give the team confidence for our next league match.

Looks like abit more steel in the midfield with RV is paying off. Hopefully dropping PJ will spur him on as his form had dropped off lately. Got to say TC has finally been prepared to change things, has he been reading our posts. Need to keep things tight second half as Bristol can easily get back in this.

I think you can feel the nerves on here at the moment. Really important game today, good luck to the team. I think they will be nervous as well but a scrappy win will do! let's get back to winning ways and ease the pressure and criticism a bit.

Must confess to being a tad apprehensive about today and the next match. Our recent defeats didn't worry me too much, except for Reading, which has uneased me somewhat, coming at the end of a bad run. It made me wonder whether we had a blip, or whether we aren't that cracky and our winning streak was the blip. Hey ho, we will know soon enough.

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Oct 2017 14:30:32
