Im usually positive but we were poor today. Burnley have one or two good players but we were dominated at home. Like I said on my last post if we could get some creativity up top the team wouldn't have to defend so much as we would keep the ball better. Only positive was byram coming back, if were not going to get someone on loan then we might as well just start poleon, obviously not the finished article but potentially our best forward and can't do any worse than anyone else we have. Vinny.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Agreed on the poleon front we must give him more game time. I am not sure why we keep messing with the back four either we need to create an effective unit who have confidence in each other. Austin sit just in front of them (if he can learn to put a decent pass in!) - very frustrating for everyone - especially when you pay for a flight and a cab to to get to games. come on Leeds

Agree0 Disagree0

Agreed, it costs me 50 quid a pop. Vinny.

The Future without a striker and a winger

1. A relegation battle
2. Mcd will go, sighting not being backed financially as the reason.
3. No quality manager will take the job because they GFH won't be able to convince a quality manager he will have cash to spend.
4. No quality manager/No quality players.
5. No investment or new buyers
6. Another decade of crap.

The future with some backing for Mcd.
1. Play off chance this season.
2. Stronger chance next season, maybe even automatic promotion.
3. Crowds start to grow.
4. Better players are attracted, etc etc etc

Just back the manager GFH. He is our big hope.

The only thing between this club and administration is the match attendance. if we weren't getting 26k a fortnight, nobody at the club would have the means to keep it afloat. we're being taken for a ride again!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

No administration sell mac and byram

We are playing as good as we can for the players we have. The team may have a relegation fight on there hands this season without 3 more signings watch gfh vanish then.

the goals will come as we are attacking quite well just need that finishing touch . defense was sloppy again at times but that's expected when the defense gets changed about

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Same old sh it, the fact is our strikers r poor at finishing, we need someone who can score

Agree0 Disagree0

Varney is awful. That header he missed in front of the Kop in the first half was appalling. A Leeds Combination striker would have buried that. Talking of appalling the ref was atrocious today. When Aidy White was brought down in the box at the Kop end if it wasn't
a penalty he should have booked him. JD {Ed013's Note - Agree with the ref comment, Varney had an off day, but there is only him that runs about, hinders defences and makes a nuisance of himself more than anyone else}

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry Ed have to disagree. You can run about all day hindering defence but if you are missing sitters you are not good enough. Further your running about hindering has to have purpose not like a headless chicken. JD {Ed013's Note - Fair point mate, thanks for the comment}

Shocking performance. Sloppy in all areas of the pitch. Good crowd which makes it more disappointing that the team were so bad. I heard a guy say I've took holiday leave today so I could come here I doubt he will be again anytime soon. Why should people pay stupid money to come and watch their team be torn apart by the likes of Sam Vokes? I can understand why people do stay away and before you start slating me I am a ST holder. Just thought I'd put it out their that the match day experience at Leeds is hardly persuasive enough to encourage people to keep coming back. If we'd got beat 2-1 but played some good football then fair enough but first half was sloppy passing (Austin in particular) and in the second half anyone would have thought Neil Warnock was in charge all we did was hopelessly hoof the ball upfield to EHD.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Spot on mate, totally agree with you. We were so bad today both individually & collectively. Austin was awful and as for anybody that thinks Poleon is our future. your deluded, the kid is just a sprinter at best with no awareness of anyone around him at all. Rubbish, FACT!

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes I was at Reading too and hoof the ball up the pitch was the case then too. Worrying {Ed013's Note - I was at Reading and that was not the case, did you watch Warnock hoofball?}

Agree0 Disagree0

Alot of leeds fans need to start waking up and realising that we are lucky to have brian managing are club we all need to give him the backing and the time he deserves to build something special.

Agree0 Disagree0

I watched warnocks hoofball against totingham

Poor performance by Leeds today (particularly the first half) however with a quality striker we could have easily scored at least 3 more goals. Matt Smith has received a lot of criticism however it was demonstrated today that if you play with width and put crosses in he becomes more effective. Before posters start spouting that Leeds do not have the funds to bring in wingers and strikers, how can Birmingham (a team that make us look wealth) sign Lingard, who scored 4 goals today.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Spot on point ref lingard which I made below to . But what you said I never thought about much before.how can birm get that kind of loan in? They are in a dire situation, worse than us but they have backed the manager, somehow. shrew leeds

Agree0 Disagree0

I would expect that Birmingham are not funding all their wages therefore they are asking PL clubs to help them. Maybe a controversial view about BMcD but I feel that he does not want to use the loan market unless a player will sign with the club in January. I personally feel that a short term impact of a quality player could have a positive effect on the team which at the moment we need

It's all going wrong again 20 shots tonight 1 goal. Do we need a striker and a winger. Sick of the crappy times. Want to go to sleep and wake up with leeds looking like this.

Robinson
Kelly
Ferdinand
Charlton
Dorigo
Bremner
Strachan
Speed
Viduka
Yeboah
Gray

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Sory mate, Hunter, Madeley and Woodgate better than Ferdinand, Reaney for Dorigo, Cooper for Kelly, how can you leave out Giles, and for me Viduka was not nearly as consistant as Clarke.
But then we all have an opinion!

Agree0 Disagree0

Would have liked to see Clarke and Viduka together

What's going on, McDermott admitted on the Radio that we need a striker, and he said the problem is they cost a lot of money, so if that's the case we aren't going to get one, 3 home games without a win including 2 defeats. Mid table finish at best.

I see Macheda and Lindgard (loan players) have been ripping it up today in the Championship. Why would we sign any young Prem league players on loan when we score so many goals. In all seriousness how can Doncaster Rovers, and there three fans afford to get a decent striker in on loan and we can't afford anyone? The figures don't add up. We are being run on a League 2 budget. Why did GFH takeover? Minimum spend, maximum sale price. Unfortunately football clubs don't work that way.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Unfortunately good old ken had already spent this years seaon ticket sales, so gfh don't have the luxury of much income this season also a lot of the unwanted players contracts will be up next seaon so that is why they have a two season plan .they have helped the fans as much as finances would allow eg reducing prices etc have a little faith . froggy

Agree0 Disagree0

Ten players were released at the end of last season, Morison went out on loan, so that makes 11 players this summer. We got rid of most of the deadwood, and signed four players, two of whom were free. GFH do not have the required financial ability to fund the football club. They are merely paying the absolute bare minimum to keep the club afloat until they can find a buyer. They simply want to flip the club. This in its self wouldn't be a massive issue if in the mean time they invested in a winger or striker (on loan). The fact they don't stands testament to there inability to fund the club correctly. Again we are in a stalemate situation, treading water till something happens.

And finally. While all you loyal fans are on your way home, it is midnight here and i'm going to bed. Before I go to bed I will tell myself 3 points out of 12 is good. We are very hard to beat and have a great team spirit. I know really that gfh have done wonders for leeds and I know mcd is fantastic and will lead us into the promise land.
I hate losing to crap teams.
I really hate losing to crap teams.
We will still lose games with a new striker and winger but at leaat then we will know we have our best team on the pitch

Just a little more dosh please gfh

Yet again my post is the same. Nothing upfront.
Gfh must wake up. 26k today but if they don't invest in couple of loan players then it will be 21 next game then 17.
Doncaster with macheda and birm with lingard both invested and look at goals.
Bmd right man but just deja vu again .
Defense wasnt great either.
Need to act and fast. Shrew leeds

There is one massive difference between our manager at Reading and at Leeds, BMD inheritted a really good side at Reading and took them up, at Leeds he's inherrited a load of rubbish, plus the owners don't have a pot to piss in. so it's going to be a long hard haul and take years rather than just a few games for us to see the quality we need for premiership life.

I hope white has a good game today and also wanna get an opinion on hall does everyone think he's going to be sold now or do u think if he plays well while out on loan he will keep him.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Bmcd seem to believe that hall plays behind the strikers and therefore no use to us, it's also clear now he has no intention of playin any sort of wingers seems happy with his formation so doubt well see much of him again, sad reely I think he's decent and feel it'll probably be another one we've let go to come back and bite us in the .

Agree0 Disagree0

Wont see him again. Shame most of the rest of warnocks buddies didn't go with him. Wish him luck though, just not up to champ

please put this on rumours page.
Im confused people saying we have to wait till October to loan players so they can play over Christmas period but other clubs are signing players now till january

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Is strange others doing now rather than next week. Unless there is a close date soon, far better off waiting till sep 29-30 I reckon. Someone will disagree, i'm sure

Agree0 Disagree0

U can always re loan the player if they do well, frankly imo it shows a lack of commitment from the club, either u want to get players where your struggling, or do nothing untill its too late and then fall back on this 2 year plan rubbish, if we've not got the money now to make signings or loans u think waiting till Pugh and Brown and what not r going to make a huge difference to the wage bill
