Went today, although coming back from 1-0 down I still felt that we lacked the guile and cutting edge to win the game, the midfield as raw and willing as they are lack an experienced player to guide them, teams coming to Elland Road play defensively so we need more creativity to break them down, even with Dallas added I stil think we lack pace.

yes last year we had rudi ok gone byram murphy cook mowatt none started game of two half's again . wed got away with a lot shirt pulling late tackles ours got booked quickly and yet there's didn't wake up ref . next derby played 4 won none lost none who's that like

:-( Early days I suppose. So it might look as if Sam is not signing. what's the thoughts if he goes? can we still get 6 or 8 mil for him and if we do would we be happy of miffed. If he goes and we get Forestieri, Limbomba and Barton and Moore as reported I would be happy enough, although the addition of these four and keeping Sam would be great.

Tis obvious Sam will leave in next 10 days. Provided he is successfully replaced it's all good. With the excess money we obtain for him we could recruit a few good players who will make us tick. Downside will be if he fluorishes in PL in 4 years he might be a 30m pound man but that's not really our concern once he departs. Good luck to him but better luck to us. If we bring in quality with his fee we will be serious playoff contenders. That's a possible 125m windfall right there. I say sell and draw a line.

Thought Kal set the tone in the first minute with a stupid free kick. Early chance to get in the box but messed about and conceeded posesion .him and Adeyemi were both way off the pace. Would love Foristeri

Frustrating game to watch today as Sheff Wed were for the taking and offered very little going forward except a quality finish for their goal. Thought that Rosler got his centre midfield pairing wrong from the start as Adyemi and Phillips are both defensive minded and therefore did not get forward to support the strikers which left the strikers isolated and led to long direct passed to the strikers. Second half we were definately in the ascendency however we created little opportunities. Hope the rumours regarding Foresteri are true as he could add a creative spark between midfield and attack. The Bryam situation needs sorting as it is clear that it is having an effect on his performance. Not advocating selling him however a line needs to be drawn under the issue

Average performance at best. Well played Cooper though. Hope he doesn't let certain fans make him a scapegoat just like they did to Tom Lees and bring the man down.
I know this is a site about opinions, but some people should not be allowed an opinion, in my opinion! Don't want to mention names but I feel its fairly obvious who talks crap 99% of the time. Anyway a bit pissed off, again. We have 4 pts but really should have 11. Surely results will pick up? Need to get more crosses into the box and get at defenses more otherwise there will be plenty more draws on the horizon.

Honestly think we have only dropped 2 realistic points. A team is going to concede goals no matter how good the defence. I think the one against Burnley and the one against Sheff are both acceptable, yes something could always have been done in the build up but both top finishes from nothing. didn't see Reading but everything suggests a draw was pretty fair. I think 3pts from 3 at that point is about right. Bristol is the only really bad one. 2 soft ish goals in a game we should see out.
All said and done that would have left us on 6pts joint 7th with Cardiff. I think that would have been a fair reflection of our season so far C+ good but could do better.
Next two are Derby and Brentford, both on 4pts too so a win and a draw or two wins and we could be right in it.

One more game to go before September is upon us. I will then make my decisions on personell but stll the system is not there "heavy metal" or whatever you want to call it. The statistics show that we are no more aggresive than last year. ie slow build up from the back and only 3 shots on target. (All those may well have come purely in the second half) Whilst one or two may not be up to it we do have enough quality in the ranks to scare teams and knock in a few goals every game. SW were not the best attacking team in the league but our defence did not seem in trouble when they did attack. So good news - defence sorted.What we need is a creative ball passer in midfield (a la Pirlo )

I cannot believe how many times we had possession of the ball and just gave it to the opposition?
Silvestri looks as though he has learnt to give the ball to his defence rather than kick it blindly into touch or straight to the opposition which is a slight advancement?
The game changed with Mowatt coming on but Murphy didn't have such an impact?
Although Wood got the equaliser he doesn't look anything like the answer to our problems up front? I thnk my 10 month old grandson would have been able to score from there.

Leeds4alongtime does it really matter how he scores? Yes its a tap in but Dallas looks for Wood, Wood points where he wants it, Dallas puts it there and we score. I don't see the issue.
Wood has had a 20+ strike ratio at a couple of clubs (0.57 goals a game at Millwall for instance which works out at 26 a season). He has the potential to be one of the top scorers in the league if he stays fit.

Wood needs to score plenty of goals because he does nowt else. Byram done nothing. Phillips looks out of his depth. Only Antenucci looks up for it.
For me our worst player of the season is Lewis Cook due to the points he's probably cost us by not being available, we really are missing him.

Unless he drastically improves and quick with it he won't be in the starting line up long? I hope he can produce, but he doesn't seem to have any serious idea from more than a yard or two out?
I am prepared to give the guy some time and leeway but so far he isn't anywhere near cutting it, give me Antenucci every time.
