Agree George, and alf i'm not sure about georges reasons but for me, he looks weak and doesn't command. how many times does he do that stupid waving flappy hand thing from goal kicks and then still passes it short, like what is the point? second reason is, I don't see the need in signing a player on loan whos probably going to earn about 500k this year just to sit on our bench, give blackman the gloves, the worst we can do is concede, and we've done that in 3/ 4 of BPF's starts anyway.

Personally I believe that MB is given certain players a chance to impress (BPF, Phillips, Aloski and Roofe) , with new players waiting on the bench. Roofe really has taken his chance, others are looking over there shoulder.

Reasoning follows. Didn't like his effort against Lawrence free-kick. Didn't like his failure to stop McBurnie first goal. Ball had spin on it but he should've allowed for it. Second McBurnie goal felt he was one step too far forward in the goal to begin with, then when it was obvious it wasn't going to be a flick but a target header he should've adjusted first. Probably still wouldn't have saved it but I'm accustomed to better goalkeeping quality. He needs coaching fast. I am not a fan of his positional sense.

I actually agree with you on that one George, said the same to myself after half time last night that its blackmans time to impress now he looks so more comfortable to watch in goal for me and at 6 ft 7 i think he would of stopped one if not both of the Swansea goals last night and that laurence effort god i would of saved that myself that's no joke either.

I think this is a tough call and can see both sides.

I think the Derby free kick was harder to save than many give credit for. Moved fast with swevre, wall so seen late and no idea which side he was going to put it due to position of free kick.

last nights first was bad and should of been stopped but he revocered well and made some big stops which shows character. Save at the end was very good and second goal I don't think anyone saves

I like blackman but then I like BPF so either is good choice IMO. I did note Blackman made one big error in cup game when he spilt a shot.

I won't be angry if BFP gets dropped but for me he has done enough to keep shirt.

If Swansea hadn't of taking Rey off we prob wouldn't have sneaked back into it.
Great subs by our manager.
As commentator said we showed great resilience and though we were bossed most of the game we didn't panic. We didn't get nervey and jittery we showed composure on the ball. A few standouts tonight in shacks and Hernandez and baker, But majirity had a bad game.
Swansea were very good but we still got a point. Happy with that.
And finally finally we have a great manager and also goalie isn't costing us a goal again.
Anybody know what Bermo thought of the game. Lol. Just kidding mate.
Oh. And guess who predicted 2-2. Top bloke ausman.

Think we played one of the top teams in Swansea, must say i never rated them with their PL performances but reckon they will do well in this league. Think Bielsas subs won us the points really, but the attitude was spot on. Think Norwich are average so 2-0 to us.

as some of you may know as well as being an annoying know all I am also a super hero goalie (won back to back leagues at goals and the Mr brightside cup against xe leeds players Peter Sweeney and jason Brown. a-thank-you) so of course I am best person in the group, nay the world to comment on this.

BPF is very good prospect was great for us back end of last year and made some great saves this season. I actually think the fk was a hard save. Of course he will be dissapointed but the pace and sweerve made it so hard. also position of the free kick meant it was not obvious which way it was going making the save harder. for me last nights was a worse mistake and fairly routine save. he must be dissapointed

two mistakes in four games may suggest nerves in a young keeper however the amazing save he made at the end was class and maybe suggests lack of concertation over nerves as he held it togteher to make some big stops

see on FB some are calling for his head. hard call, blackman is also very good so strong option but then will dropping harm BFP? I think it could go either way but for me BFP gets one more chance.

have to say cork proper offended. On here people have opinions. Players get slated. Wood got slated when I stood by him, last year lassoga got it, and I think it is harsh and he did when when he got service. alooskis gets it a lot. this I half understand while he can be amazing and a match winner he also frustrates.

yet when you are negitive about a local lad you get it in the neck. I saw the first game and tought. phillips will costs us. Phillips ain't good enough (also on last year) I got countless calling me wrong. fair enough, but I reply. then get slagged for going on, but this is only in reponse.

i was delighted we had a manager who was brave enogh to correct the descions for whatever reason which i say

I am going off the site for a while. I love this site, gives me a chance to be closer to leeds fans and experienced leeds being so close to millwall. it has also brought me closer as DJ has become a very good mate and gone to leeds with him and met him few other times, also met alf who is top bloke and respect so many on here including you corky

but when a leeds fan can't say a leeds player is not good enough for leeds be that phillps or roque jr without getting jumped on quite so much think it is time for me to bowl out for a while.

i shall still read with interest and maybe come back in time when we can say yes phillips is useless, or i can say i was wrong thank god because he is leeds, or we can say neither opionin was really right or wrong

When there is conflicts of opinion we should all be man enough to agree to disagree . His name escapes me but I use to hate reading that drivel from the Spurs fan who came on here for bites at real Leeds fans . I disagree with the Phillips issue in as much as I don't think Kalvin has spent his life being a centre back/ defensive midfielder so I am happy to let him learn on the job. his lack of tackling ability shows me he is new to it. I am just glad he has mates around him who are helping him come to terms with his new role

And on a similar note I hope Shackleton gets plenty of faith and opportunities at his new right back role

They were a premier league team for over 5 years.

Think KP being on a booking and tired legs/ energy levels was the reason he was taken off. He proved he can play a bit against Stoke and Derby. MB did not want to go down to 10 men. He also thought KP was the best option to start . The best thing about all this is, it proves MB is aware of the physical challenge of playing so many games close together and how difficult it is then to have to play with 10 men following a sending off.

agree with all, great point last night, showed so many top ualities and so many qualuties that I haven't seen from a leeds team in years. all very positive.

I will have one last word on KP, partly because I am gobby, partly because I have offended some clearly, and partly because some have offend me if I am honest

no I don't like KP, I don't understand how any one can rate him. Good against poor teams yet never good against big ones. he is arsenal, can beat poor teams lookin great but never a ahcnace when playing decent teams. arsnal ain't champs league and phillips ain't promotion

he was poor against stoke, could of cost us, he was decent against a poor derby and still cost us, he was great asgainst roetheram (but they so what? they are not promotion favs) . Then last night he gave a performance as bad as any, i don't ever rememebr a fist half sub due to being bad and not tactic change. Someone please correct me if that has happened

if that was baker everyone would say never pick against yet phillips is golden

we have borogh who are best team for my money and my promotion fave, then millwall my tip is this, MB is smart enough not to pick him. If I am wrong and he does pick him my prediction is KP will be useles KP stands no chance against boro and millwall midfeidl as they are both too good for him

If you read what I am saying, I am agreeing that Phillips is probably not going to be good enough over the season, but you are too busy patting yourself on the back. I asked who before who would currently play ahead of Phillips in this line up? Your abilities to predict the future clearly impair your knowledge of the present because you said Forshaw, who is injured. Fortunately, Bielsa may have resolved the issue short term and will play Klich there instead. Not my intention to upset but I struggle with WUMs.

Not sure I understand how a Leeds fan can be hoping that a player will have a crap performance that leads to us losing a game in order to be proved right!

For me, he is part of a Squad of players who have made a cracking, hardworking, and encouraging start to the season against teams that most people rate and a tough Northern Derby. For that he deserves some praise and encouragement, words like “useless” ‘sh. e” crap” are just overly dramatic, unnecessary and unfair.

Other people aren’t jumping on you, they are responding to your view on Phillips which you keep on repeating and I think it’s the repetition, the strength of the vocabulary you use, and the seeming delight you take in a Leeds player having a bad game that is drawing the response.

Against the better teams they will all make more mistakes as they will be under more pressure.

Phillips was poor and on a booking and got hooked. Right decision by Bielsa but it gives me no joy in seeing it. Saying that Phillips will eventually have a poor game does not make you Nostradamus. We all know that Phillips will put inconsistent performances in as he has form for it. When a better player is available to play the role Phillips does then I trust Bielsa to make the right choice.

agree and that is the difference between promotion and not, beating derby 4-1 is easy lots of team will beat derby they are poor, getting a point away at swans when nnot playing particaully well and with no CB is a great result and shows so many qualites that gives real hope.
