To all the peeps who go on about players having no loyalty like th fans do towards Lufc. Take stock of your situation at work, Would you give unyeilding loyalty to your present employer, for whatever salary, hourly rate that you are on?

Or would you jump ship immediatley if you were offered the chance to double or triple what you are earning with a move somewhere else??

Don't expect loyalty like that from anyone, especially when each one of us would do the same! for the same rewards!

The point is if they had been loyal, they would probably be where they are now, only still with Leeds. they sold us out for short term gains.

Agree4 Disagree6

To the unamed reply. plenty of our fans gave up on us under bates and stopped coming to the games.
do you expect loyalty of players that have had the same kind of lies? Really?

Agree11 Disagree0

The issue isn't necessarily one of loyalty only. The point about staying and getting there with Leeds is a redundant and moronic comment and not based on a reality of the situation of Leeds. If we had been genuinely investing in the squad instead of East Stand improvements, bringing in decent players, supporting the manager financially then a fair few of our ex players would have stayed I'm sure. However when you see players being let go, and frees and loans coming in, are you going wait and hope that changes? Of course not. 10 years later and we are still scrabbling around the football league operating on a shoe string. As a club with potential there is only Leeds outside of the Prem League who could easily fill a 50,000 sweater stadium week in week out if we went back up with a decent squad. Why no one has invested seriously in us is a scandal, obviously propagated by Bates. The latest bunch of chancers hope to flip us for a profit. We need some owners with serious ambition for our club. you can but hope.

I can see your point, but there's a difference between earning £400 a week and moving to a better paying job but say your on £10000 a week you could easily live off that on a weekly basis!

Gus Poyet is holding out for the upcoming Leeds vacancy very soon. It will happen as soon as their playoff push is finished.

One report I read today said the compensation to Brighton is £2.5 million due to the time left on his contract.
Leeds won't pay that!

Agree9 Disagree1

Your right we won't but I really think he would be worth the investment and affect the team in a positive way maybe more than a 2.5m purchase on the playing staff would. we would definitely see more of our emerging talent on show

Agree0 Disagree0

2.5 mil is a lot but hopefully, I rekon he may well be up for it aswell given the backing.

Its not fair. You basically have to gamble huge amounts of money to get into prem. if you succeed you get zillions of pounds to either stay there or bounce straight back. If you don't get there you will almost certainly have to sell all your best players and try and avoid div 1 or bankrupcy. The league bosss then moan about managers being sacked. Is it any wonder when so much quid is involved, owners are not going to gamble their dosh and then watch a manager lose. I bloody wouldnt. Food for thought. No football tomorrow except the a league here in aus and that's less interesting than gardening! what's going to happen with leeds is a very good queztion? Here are my top 5 predictions.

Leeds ridiculously keep warnock to end of season-he suggests we try and get lambert or mcdermot as next manager

We finish 16th in the league because both warnock and players give up

We sell byram for 6mill and buy a midfielder and winger but keep the rest

We get an investor but too late for the january transfer window.

Get into the play-offs and. Hang on phones ringing. Must be mr patel

As usual
More disagrees than agrees!
Not got their own opinion though!!

we will be taken over within 2 months
Warnock will stay because they will not sack him before takeover complete
We will finish 12th
There will be investment in the team by August
Byram will not be sold this summer
There is a major pot of gold available in the premier league and some clubs do get carried away but in my opinion you do not need to spend silly money to get there. Reading didn't, Burnley didn't. Yes they only managed one season but look at the parachute money! You need a mixture of youth and quality experience, not journeymen but equally you need a manager who can mould a team and motivate the players.

Interesting scoops.
I agree re not needing money to get promoted. But you do need a good manager to build a team with an exciting blend of youth and experience generally playing quick attacking football! Nuff said!
