Jamie Paterson and Adam Hammill struggling to get games at their respective clubs, they'd both be decent signings. Hammill could possibly happen as Redders' preferred assistant is at Huddersfield and could persuade him.

Surely its not rocket science?
Lay down the law. Either the goalkeeper stays on the line or the defender runs past the ball to protect the goal and leaves it to the keeper. Somebody needs to sort it out whether the defenders sit down and agree a plan or Redders tells them what they will do. Whichever is better than playing bumper cars

I went, but have only just calmed down enough to watch the highlights, for their 1st goal it should have been booted into row z before it got any where near Silvestri.

Best games and atmosphere you've been to at ER
Barcelona 1975, Man City 1977 in FA Cup, Man U 1980 in league, QPR 1987 in FA Cup cup, Leicester 1990 in league and Stuttgart.

FA Cup.
3rd Jan. Man U 0 LEEDS 1. Fantastic day out, brilliant result, once in a lifetime experience, apart from that I can remember going away to Leceister a few years back and we sung Champions of Europe for all the second half.

Just got home from the game.
Very dissapointed, Second half syndrome again, the players legs seem to go after 60mins, repetitive mistakes are also costing us, some people are blaming our keeper but its poor defending to start with, I don't think we will finish much higher in the table than we are now.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I went to the game too Andy but I thought we were doing alright up to the calamity. That deflated us and gave them a lift. I thought we played some good stuff in the second half but we lack that killer pass near their goal. My eye sights not brilliant but people tell me Varney dived which is not unheard of. I'd play Sharp instead of Doukarra. I know he scored but he gives it away a lot and we need a pacy winger and 6ft 4 centre half. Keep the faith it's a very young team

Agree 60, we need to have a bit of a reality check and this season should be about bedding in the likes of Cook,Dawson,Philips and Taylor along with our foreign lads and then watch us go next year.
Blackburn are on a good run and vastly more experienced than us and we bossed them for most of the game.
I was disappointed with the result of course but I would rather us lose games like that and learn things. The alternative is to lose games like that with the likes of Morison, Hunt,Norris, Murphy and Tonge in the team.

Agree0 Disagree0

Seem like sensible posts to me (couldn't make the game so can't comment on it)

Agree0 Disagree0

Dawson and Phillips won't get us promoted, remove your blinkers. Cook and Mowatt ain't doing it so why would you want more kids? Sign some experience Neil

You mean experience like O'Brien,Norris,Brown, Tonge,Green, Hunt, Morison,Connolly, Kenny. Pugh,Bromby,Douif,Forsell, McSheffrey etc etc all that Premiership quality and commitment!!
Not sure if you have been watching Cook and Mowatt lately but they are running midfields and to say they are not doing it!! Why would I want more kids well that's simple because they may turn out to be as good as Byram,Cook and Mowatt.
Or Howson,Delph,Milner,Lennon,Rose.
After the game on Saturday on Mowatt came down to the fans and gave his shirt.
Give me passion and commitment every day of the week over has been ex prem players who are just here for the money.

Darko was criticised for second half performances Redfearn is no better. He has never been good at substitutions. Again missed the boat today when we needed freshening up then, as with previous brings a player on and plays him out of position. Silvestrie has cost us again if had been Kenny there would have been uproar. He might have kept us in games earlier in the season looks fragile as does Bianchi who started the season very well. Doukara keeps scoring but can't hold the ball up. Adryan can only play 60 minutes.Still no real width, In addition there is no leader in the team. We have youth but no real balance. I've never been a fan of Redfearn. Didn't like him in his first spell, thought he got lucky in the second. Now the luck isn't there neither are the results. Think MC has got it horribly wrong with the manager/coach situation. We needed a good strong manager but we won't get one for all sorts of reasons and Redfearn is probably the best coach we will get in the current climate which is worrying. Still need at least three good players. One striker, one midfielder to control and guide and a centre half who can go steadily through a game without making too many howlers. All three of our present lot can play well but make silly mistakes that usually lead to goals. Cooper has done on more than one occasion in his few outings, Pearce and Bellusci the same. I hope I am wrong but if Redfearn can't turn it round we are in relegation land. Can't see where the points are going to come from before Christmas. Its not that we have lost today its about one win in ten and no decent second half performances for a long time. Again I hope I'm wrong but I don't thnk so.

The foreign players Cellino as brought in are just not good enough him buying players in Italy with his sidekick may work but not in the Championship, if we do go down who does he blame? it's not the manager fault he's been badly advised several times since his takeover with some of his bizarre decisions, like I've said before staying in this league will count as a success this season

Agree0 Disagree0

I do remember posting that Redfern never achieved anything in all his previous incarnations as caretaker manager, why should he suddenly become our saviour now?

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree Hesslian, Redfearn is outdated in the use of substitutes. Changes are not made until we are losing a grip of the game and then they are generally like for like swops without any tactical adjustments.

If we was at the start of the season how many people would of had Neil as head coach
I think people would of choose Gibbs the old assistant over him
But now he is are saviour??
He has a reputation in lower league of getting people relegated
The young lads been brought through now are the product of Richard naylor he made the youth team tick the last couple of seasons

Agree0 Disagree0

Unfortunately because of head coach recruitment mess made by Cellino, Redfearn is the only viable choice for the role. However his experience at this level (being in charge) is limited and therefore he will make mistakes. It is how he learns from these mistakes that will dictate which division we play in next season

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry but the foreign players have prevented us being bottom. Silvestri has won us several games, Antenucci and Doukara have scored 12 between them, Bianchi is an improvement on last season. Nonsense

Agree0 Disagree0

So Bellusci and Beradi haven't cost us any points? SMitchell8

Welcome to the relegation dog fight!p.l. In 3 years my left foot! Cricket score next week I think!what a state of affairs when I consider only loosing 2-1 to 10men and not conceding until 70 odd minutes a better result than I was expecting!
At least we won't need to spend much on the fuel to play Bradford next season!
An absolute joke!

again lack of tempo (and 2 mistakes) let us down. Blackburn were there for the taking and going down to 10 men.
At 1-0 down they were pressing high and suckers for a quick counter either on the floor or a ball over the top but nothing was forthcoming due to a final missed pass or a tired approach rate. Must take heart that we were their masters in the first half and hope that the lethargy of the second half can be worked on

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Its been the same all season, can't build or hang onto a lead for love nor money, some of the tams thay have beat us up to now have been p-ss poor, whhat the hells the half time team talk like, to play well first half and crap in second dunno about the top six, we need to make sure we keep out of the bottom six, c'mon redders sort em out.

Agree0 Disagree0

Your half time team talk can't tell the team to play well first half.

Just watching the game on streaming I cannot believe that we are losing we played really well first half and not so well 2nd half we again give a stupid goal away from a mix up we then bring on Bellusci and play him in midfield rather than bring Austin on, what happens then Bellusci tries to be too clever gives the ball away outside our box and then varney goes into the box and gets a penalty, all this against ten men why do we keep doing this to ourselves. We so need wingers though and some quality in the final third if we are going anywhere

cant drop cooper been outstanding so next question is can he drop his captain???

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I wouldn't drop either today if playing well. Bellusci is at times a really good player but also prone to costing us goals & silly bookings. Needs to know he can't walk back into the side & must work for it.
