Max Gradel come home!!

Believable14 Unbelievable4

Can't see us paying him £20k a week.

Agree4 Disagree4

I'd love to see Max back at Elland Road, but I just can't see us paying the minimum 2-3million it would require or his wages. The only speckle of light at the end of the tunnel is I seem to recall Warnock saying we might get a player at the end of the transfer window...Gradel is at the Africa Cup of Nations, so that could tie in? I know hope is a dangerous commodity.

About what? We don't want to here how much money they have for players and we don't want to here who's signing until its done . Only thing we need to know is we are stable and have some money available

Agree9 Disagree5

Half of the fans, already thought we was stable under Bates. So if we are already stable. Then why haven't they pushed on with this new dawn. I'll tell you why, its BU++SH+T!!! We are going backwards not forwards. Which actually makes it a s+it sunsett.

Equation has now become 3 quality signings in 1 week that's virtually 1 every 2 days. Tall order. Our season rests on this. No signings equals zero or maybe 1 further away win so no promotion. GFH get on with it.

Believable11 Unbelievable4

If we got one tomorrow, that would be one every 3days up until the the last on deadline day, you never know!

Ed, you have to make sure any post more than 10 lines long goes somewhere else. Check out the Oxford dictionary for a for a definition of banter! The poster at 21.34 needs a life FFS (:-) lets take a few days off from the doom and gloom and push for a FA cup magic moment. mOT TeeCee {Ed013's Note - So where would you like it then Tim? Rumours? obviously not a rumour and why cant anyone voice their frustrations? If you don't like it, ignore it or don't read. Everyone has the right to get their points across}

Believable2 Unbelievable10

Banter2? . fair enough, everyone has a right to voice their views and now I am less grumpy [and more awake] the 21.34 poster makes some good points. note to self ~ must be more tolerant {Ed013's Note - Banter 2 is an over fill when Banter 1 is full}

Is it possible for a reporter to do a proper interview one day either with David Haigh or Neil Warnock and perhaps ask the below questions

Mr Haigh
1.Can you confirm who is running the club at the present time, is it Shaun Harvey, Ken Bates or yourself.
2.Who are the actual owners of the club, who is behind GFH.
3.Why has there been no information from yourself or any other club directors about what our plans are in this transfer window, or at the end of the season or the long term vision for the club this is the least the fans deserve, the only updates from you are from twitter hardly the forum for a professional club to talk to the fans.
4.Do they realise why the fans are currently so frustrated and attendances are down if so what are they going to do about it.
5.Is their cash available for signings, or just for loans.
6.Why do we keep missing out on obvious targets to other championship clubs for example Dawson going to Bolton today.
7.What plans are being made to replace the manager in the summer it is no secret that NW is retiring.
8.If we see no proper signings this transfer window what does that tell us of the new owners.
9.How can Forest who were taken over at roughly the same time be happy to spend when we are not, what does that say about GFH
10.When are you going to have a Qand A session for the fans to ask questions to you.
11.What do you think of the current attendances and what is going to be done.

Neil warnock
1.What positions need improving
2.How many players do you need exactly
3.Do you think our defence has enough quality in it.
4.Why do we keep playing midfield players out of position.
5.Does he have cash to buy players or just for loans.
6.Why does he persist with the long ball game when it is clearly not working.
7.Is he retiring in the summer
8.Can he understand the fans current frustrations with what is going both on and off the pitch.
9.What players has he missed out on and why no reason why he can't talk about the players as they are no longer targets.
10.What does he think of the current attendances at ER, is this a fair reflection of the current standard of performance even though we have won six in a row.

Ed any chance of getting these questions to NW or
DH I am sure there are loads of others questions from fans as well, maybe through to Phil Hay or whoever does the weekly interview with him. We really deserve some answers, I have never known the situation as bad as it is at the moment in respect of the lack of information, at least KB gave some info to the fans through the programme notes whatever you thought of it. {Ed013's Note - I will copy this and send it to Paul Dews, the problem is that reporters are not able to ask certain questions}

Are we actually seeking to sign anyone ?? Because from what I can see it is all rumours, as a season ticket holder for many years I am now fed up to the back teeth of of this, new owners nothing has changed, no communication, NW has submitted his list so what is happening ? Burke, Redmond from brum would do a good job for us a, Boyd mentioned, something to inspire us instead of this utter crap I watch week in week out. I will not be going to spurs on sunday as I have forked out enough this season already and I know I am not alone. Where is the spark GFH to signal your intent ? More loan signings will just prove nothing has changed and I don't buy that because NW is leaving at the end of this season we are sitting tight as we as he was apparently the messiah and reason they bought the club. Don't even think about season ticket renewals either because the crowds are rock bottom already and my money sitting in the bank for 6months without any commitment is an utter piss take. Sort it out !

GFH will not come out in public and say "Warnock isn't getting any money" as he is leaving at the end of the season and they also can't say the new manager next season will get x amount either because that would just undermine Warnock. So please just wait, we will be safe in the championship this season, but the work will start next.

Can anyone tell me how warnock thinks we need to strengthen our attack when we have only got 5 fit defenders (if you can call them that) I think we are 4/5 players short a left back, center back 1/2 wingers and a center mid that can get his foot on the ball and create something instead of this hoof ball or is his idea to get lanky strikers in for knock downs tho we still av a week left in transfer window MOT ....jp

Believable7 Unbelievable1

How many promotions have you had pal ? Oh yes that would be NONE. I rest my case

23 Jan 2013 18:01:48
Cmon guys. I know its been nearly 10 years we've been out of the premier league, but lets get behind WHATEVER team and WHICHEVER manager we have. The protracted takeover meant that KB wasnt going to put money in when he was leaving and GFH couldn't put any in until it was all done and dusted. The legal teams were responsible for the delay. Niel Warnock had to bargain shop with what he could get from sales and got a workman like team at budget prices. Now we all now Neil is going to leave and I'm sure GFH don't want to chuck money at players a new manager may not want.
SO lets get behind the team, behind the manager and see where this season can take us. If its mid table obscurity, then so be it. Then we can look forward to a new season. REMEMBER the championship is a league where on only really Cardiff are flying. It won't take much to get top 6.
WE ARE LEEDS. Lets prove that!

Believable15 Unbelievable5

Fans from other sides must laugh their asses off when they look at these pages. I've supported Leeds through over 40 years of frustration and joy. Glass half empty sounds about right with most on here.

Agree7 Disagree3

I clicked disagree in the 1st reply.....sorry, blooming iPhone I meant to agree so I apologise but would like to agree with these more optimistic posts 100%.

I posted just after the t/o that I didn't think there would be many signings in Jan due to Warnock going at the end of the season, Jan prices being high and clubs not willing to do business due to possible uncertainty of their own situation whether in the mid to lower prem or our champ competitors and I got a load of abuse!

We could turn our season around so very easily but I can see that maybe GFH don't want to give NW a load of cash for players, him go at the end of the season and the new manager wants a different set of players and we're stuck with people he doesn't want and have to either sell cheap of pay off to get rid of. I desperately want some signings BUT can also see that the logic dictate that GFH don't spend much until a new, long term manager is in place in the summer.

People are way too quick to judge and in all fairness to NW & GFH, the transfer window is far from closed and thing could still happen. Have faith guys and at least judge GFH after both the Jan and summer transfer windows.......either way, SUPPORT THE CLUB REGARDLESS

Agree8 Disagree2

Rubbish, there are players out there and business to be done, don't buy this inflated January window, it is a feeble excuse, clubs will always try to get the most for players, why wait until they get snapped up ?

Poyets comments saying he'd love to come back to Leeds have made me think.no way would gus come to Leeds if we were skint .i get the feeling there could be a few supprise signings, not the sort on 30 grand a week but good young players costing money.Has anybody heard anything on matt Phillips, as I have been told we are close to signing him but the medical is on hold. Same person told me we missed out on wood because we couldn't compete with lecister (wages not fee ) he told me a week be4 Warnock said so in paper. I then posted it on hear. Hope it comes off as that would be a real coupe IMO

GP is ambitious, and he will see us as a step up from BHA and in turn will be off like a shot if a prem club came knocking, regardless of how well he was doing with us. Show some ambition. Gfh where are you ? All been struck dumb ? Is any one there ? What a bunch of t#ssers. Worse than bates.
X bob. Wakefield x {Ed013's Note - Leeds did make an offer, as have a number of clubs, but Peterborough want too much for him}

Believable7 Unbelievable3

Why not get a grip and stop whining....Peterborough want way over the odds for a player who is available on a free in the summer.....we along with other clubs have put in bids which are sensible for him which they have rejected (this has been clearly stated by Peterborough too). THEY are the ones taking the mick and chancing their arm yet you think it's a good idea to pay over the odds?!?! Who is the "t*$$*r" as you elequently put it?!?!

GFH aren't mugs, give them a chance for gods sake!! People wanted Bates gone and yet still aren't happy because we haven't spent millions when the club have come out and clearly stated we're trying to do deals but AS USUAL January is hard because clubs either won't do deals OR want to much money.....how quickly people forget what extravagant spending did to us last time, we're still paying the price 10 years on

I think like a few others mention that we should give a few of the young guns a chance ie dawson, poleon, gimple and see how they get on, if they don't quite cut it then send them out on loan. I was down at peterborough when poleon came on as a sub and thought he looked dangerous with his pace and flair. in my opinion brown should never play in a white shirt again as the man is far to slow, gobby and a liability. i'm hopeful of a few new face before the window shuts. 23 Jan 2013 14:15:55
Would love us to go out and show some ambition. Put in a bid for Curtis Davies. Brum need the money so its worth a punt, we have nothing to lose by putting in a bid.
I think we should try and get Dawson on loan for the rest of the season too, he's not getting a game at West Brom and if he doe's well sign him perm at the end of season. We would have a fairly solid back 4 with Lees, Dawson, Davies and Pelts. Wouldn't cost a fortune either.

After that we need a creative midfielder and a winger. If we got Barkley til the end of the season that would do me, but with Everton not wanting him 2 play Vs Spurs makes you think the prob want him back before end of season. The winger I'd like to get is Yannick Bolasie but with Zaha going they prob won't sell. Any other suggestions?

I also think our scouting should be improved. Newcastle are getting plenty of players cheap from France. Poyet has got a few great players from Spain. Martinez at Wigan seems great at getting good, cheap South Americans. We get the odd player from non-league. We don't seem to uncover any gem's at all. We should have a scout out at The African Cup of Nations at the moment too. As Mark Bright said there's a few rough diamond there. We already have Danny Mills out there.

Believable3 Unbelievable1

According to the News Now web site Dawson has agreed terms with Bolton for the rest of the season, W.B.A. won't let him go permanently, it would take a hefty fee because he is so well thought of at the Baggies.

To GFH:

We cannot get to or remain in the Premier League without investment to Premier League level......talk about stating the obvious....fellow whites, we mustn't turn on NW - he is doing the best he can with the low funding he was given - it's his team, but it's not the first choice team had he been able to spend something half decent...

Believable8 Unbelievable8

Its not just down to GFH, I think personally Shaun Harvey is the man we should be pointing the finger at. Warnock gave GFH their targets and GFH always said they would back him but not excessively to damage the sustainability of the club. Shaun Harvey is in charge of bringing in the players Warnock identified.

"Leeds boss Neil Warnock says he's looking to bring some fresh forwards in at Elland Road after allowing loannee Alan Tate to return to Swansea. " I need to think about sorting out the attacking end of the squad before looking at anything else. That's where my priorities lie and I felt it was important to have those players in place before adding to the defence. I don't think we're short of good defenders.

So we don't need a solid defending lb or any creativity in midfield? We don't need more pace or a gifted winger?

I reckon our front guys will score if they get any decent service from the wings or midfield.

Colin seems wildly off the mark as to our problem areas as usual

Confusing, we let tate go as warnock insists "we already have good defenders at the club" ? Are these the same defenders that have performed this season and conceded the second worst total of goals in the league? Again confusing "we need to concentrate on forwards", not then on the midfield providing service to the forwards, as the forwards already at the club would score the goals required if fit and given the right service? Becchio 20 to 30 goals? mack 15 to 20 goals? somma 10 to 15 goals? poleon 10 to 15 goals? When issues become confusing its usually due to management basically not understanding what is required to progress or having another agenda?I do fear warnock does not have a clue? MOT

Believable3 Unbelievable5

Poleon 10 - 15 goals? Wishful thinking.

Agree5 Disagree1

With a goals against record like ours, how on earth can he say we have good defenders at the club already, we are too easy to score against, especially away from home, if he thinks our defence is ok its time for someone who knows what they're doing.

Agree3 Disagree3

Defending is not just our back four! Defending is our whole team! If the front guys fail in their part, midtfielders have a harder time, and back four will give away more chances and more goals! Our main failures this season is not beeing able to keep the ball up field, not having our own play and structure, and giving opposition too many easy and fast turnovers! If we get in players to change this, our back four will prove themselves good enough!

Agree5 Disagree0

To the first poster, I would love two midfielders with flair and creativity to pull the strings but Warnock usually only plays 2 in midfield anyway which I don't agree with and it seems that the two midfielders he chooses are defensive style. His philosophy is why pass it up to the front men on the ground when you can loft it up to the front men and play the game in the oppositions final third.Only thing is when you belt a ball 5o yards to the front men its not always guranteed to land at white shirt so his tactics are flawed.Additionally that's why he always moans about the front men not holding it up as his whole philosopy relies on front men holding it up because if they loose it the oopposition run stright through the none existant midfield and put the back four under siege. So mate if i'm honest, I think he would ruin a classy midfielder and he would just want to f**k off.**** him off, at end of year. Get Di matteo in.
