Llorente has posted his farewell to Sociedad, in what is a quite passionate message. I like this. He will fall in love with Leeds, once the fans are back, which has to happen early next year!?

In his opening remarks to the club and fans, he says he wants to learn from Bielsa the greatest manager in the world. This is a very good sign in George opinion. I think he will prove to be the best of the signings made in this window so far.

With crowds excluded until March at the earliest, it would be an ideal opportunity to start the promised development of increasing the capacity of the ground to 50k whilst reducing any inconvenience caused to the supporters.

Not going to happen this season though. Radz wants us to be more established in the Prem before he increases capacity, plus where would the money come from? Finances will be super tight this season with no fans allowed still.

I thought the same thing Alf, and nearly posted the same thing, but a whole stand will probs be shut off, so the revenue stream will be affected come what may, so might as well do the work ASAP, while itās not going to affect a zero ticket sale income.?

But if doing so risks the whole club financially Bright we can't afford to do that. I think we need to invest in the playing squad first and foremost and worry about the rest later.

Davies at Left Back, Gotts at Right Back and Stevens on Left wing.
Has anyone any insight as to how close these players are to being good enough.
How far away are they from being up to Shacks standard or level.

Gotts and Stevens will go out on loan probably for a year, so not close to the first team squad now. Davis has been given a bit more of a shout, he might be kept around depending on who else comes in.

Stevens loaned to Swindon already agreed. Gotts will follow. I agree Spanish re Davis, but would rather he too goes out on loan, to build match experience. Itās vital that these lads keep developing in match situations.

Tend to agree Berm, every season since he has been at the club Iāve said time to let cooper go time to let cooper go but He has improved hugely under Bielsa but I genuinely donāt think he is good enough for the prem . Iāve also been impressed with Strujk, he can also cover midfield so is very valuable as Bielsa certainly likes versatile players.

Be interesting to see what happens now we have lorente, it's come as a surprise to me, I though Koch was brought in to replace white and he would play alongside cooper . Do MB feel maybe Koch isn't ready yet? Or maybe cooper isn't up to premier league standard? Or if he will tinker with 3 central defenders at back in some game's? I hope Strujk has a future at the club still he has show he can develop in to a good player and this could push him down the pecking order.

Bielsa said he wants 2 players of good standard for every position.
We now have 3 CBs. actually need a fourth (coverage from U23s? )
Struijk really covers KP.
Our main weakness is at left back where Stuart D is really a utility guy, alioskiās heart is in attack and Iām afraid Barry Douglas appears to have been written off as not sufficiently premier league material as he was by Wolves.
Honestly, Liam provides leadership but he has a bit of development still required. Koch is still learning when he must take major risks based on the rest of the defence. only Ayling has looked really strong of the back 4. and the way he shut down mane and Robertson was a master class.
But we have to expect development and then a stronger second half of the season.

Yeah I thought we were well covered at left back but looking at it, Dallas is a utility player yes, Douglas appears surplus to requirements, Alioski really is back up and also can play left wing so is handy to have . Iād sell Douglas and loan out Leif Davis.

I think one of Douglas or Davis likely to stay around as more solid defensive options and less jack of all trades.

belisa knows football and in his heart he must know what we all know Cooper just ain't no where near good enough. Stuijk must have a future at club at either dm or cb the lad is class,
part of football is the players that get the club promoted ain't good enough to be a part of said promotion happens every year. no room for sentiment.

All of Struijk, Stevens, Gotts and Davis have massive futures at the club, and so do many others coming through. Nial Huggins, the little right winger, who played 23ās at 16 / 17, strachan-esque, is another fine one to watch for breaking through. I foresee a future team made from 80% academy product! Bright future for our club!

I think we shouldn't worry about if players we sign are good enough or error prone or whatever, if Bielsa feels they have the right attributes and mentality to be a Leeds player then i trust in him to make that player better . Look at the improvement of the squad under bielsa? Klich cooper Phillips Harrison costa Dallas are all improving, Douglas unfortunately may have gone backwards but that is likely due to injury and Dallas has pretty much taken his place.

Exactly. Costa is just starting to show the form he had at wolves in their promotion season.
Kalvin, the England international, Phillips is still improving
Coops, is not the error prone player of a few years ago.
Harrison is a an absolute baller now and still getting better
Dallas is Mr utility and invaluable
Takes time.

Spot on. You could say that every single player at the club has improved since the arrival of Bielsa, and that applies to the young lads coming through. The legacy of Bielsa should live on, on, on, in a similar manner to that created by Wilko, whose structural changes benefitted us for many years after he left the club.

Ps. I am loving seeing KP, Ayling, Costa and Klich do so well at this level. seeing Harrison round TAA and Gomez slot it . then the next week Paddie B round a champions league semi finalist RB to slot one and also get an assist for another. big test Sunday mind. but happy with a point.
We would benefit from having De Paul. but Orta is sitting pat with the only solid offer Udinese have had. weāll get him for ā¬32meg and save ā¬3meg to cover some wage demands.

Ok, lads
1. Llorente (pronounced āYour -Ent-Eā to which we can now say āyes-E-isā) plays either side CB, Can step in as RB or additional cover for KP as CDM. is Solid in the positions, is swift, can pass, has had internationals for Spain for phlegmās sake. only real weakness is when stuck in at LB. Plenty upside under Bielsa. a good deal at Ā£6meg less than Ben (who has good game against Newcastle-sigh)
2. The English game is very multi faceted. no longer just 442 with crunching tackles, route 1 balls and lots of running. the league is consistent in one respect. and that itās one of the top 4 leagues in the world, possible number one and competition is fierce on the pitch a) for you place and b) against more often world class opponents playing multiple systems. and thatās why itās a challenge to step up to the Prem.
3. We need a LB, a more solid GK but āChuckā it lads. weāre in the Prem. we have Bielsa. weāre signing internationals.
We are so so so far away from when Radz took over. I think I want to cry, I am so happy ;-)
