Matt Mills to join on loan after falling out with Pearson. If NW pulls this off it would be a great start but Danny Webber is not what we need

Believable3 Unbelievable3

Saying he or anyone is not what we need before someone has kicked a ball for us is a futile statement. Let the boss make the decisions that's what he's paid to do plus he's the one with the experience otherwise it would be you who was the manager but as your not and he is he's in a better position to judge

Agree4 Disagree1

Just maybe warnock doesn't see any good strikers at leeds other than becchio and mccormack that are fit so webber is been brought in for cover with somma not been fit ,more than likely paynter and forrsell out on loan

According to a Daily Mirror source Danny Webber is due to sign next week. Been around a while and was with Colin at blunts. The same source said Townsend was on his way to Birmingham so this could have legs
A decent striker but has been plagued with injuries in the past few years. Hope all get behind Colin cause I firmly believe he has the ability to take us to the next level even though it might not be this season

Hello Leeds Fans,

Firstly i would just like to say that i am proud of what the supporters trust is doing and i hope it carries on without detrimenting the team.

I have just created a new website, leedsfansreview.co.uk, that is designed to review how the team is doing from the fans point of view.

On the site you are able to upload photo's from each of the games and add your own match comments as well as voting for your Leeds 'Man Of The Match'

It would be much appreciated if you would register and join my site and upload your photo's from the games up to now and post your comments/man of the match votes.

I am planning on making it into a publication so that fans can have hard copies of the fans review of the Leeds season.

i would like an array of pictures from the team getting off the bus if we are away or the away team getting off the bus if we are at home.

www.leedsfansreview.co.uk

Thanks

Robert {Ed001's Note - it would have been nice if you had paid us the courtesy of asking if it was ok to advertise your site on here before doing so. I was very tempted to delete your post purely because it was so disrespectful of you, but I thought the posters on the site might well be interested so I am letting it through. In future, I would suggest you use contact forms and check before trying to get free advertising though, other sites you might find people take offence to it.}

I took offence to his post because i'm against the LUST, you are spot on with your point ED

Snodgrass white
nunez
becchio mccromack

Believable1 Unbelievable4

Think if we are to play a diamond Pugh would be better left as he could tuck inside, and perhaps zac Thompson on right as he could do likewise with Snoddy in the hole?
My team would be:

Lonergan
Smith Bruce lees White
Clayton
Thompson. Pugh
Snodgrass
Becchio macormack

reading neils comments in YEP about Mc C ormack being injured and how he thought forsell and barn door playing well, i can sense one of them playing and the other on the bench, hope its forsell who starts tho. then again fresh manager may get more out of paynter.
also i asked the other week if anyone thought smith looked like he was not part of the team but got shot down maybe i should have said townsend lol. onwards and hopefully upwards from now on MOT

Believable4 Unbelievable1

Paynter would still be garbage if Don Revie were the manager! No thanks to that idea!

Would anybody else a Maxy Gradel return? I know I would.

Believable13 Unbelievable3

Would love the lad back, but he's in Saint Ettiene's team and scoring, it won't happen.

townsend as signed for birmingham!!!! we need to get proper committed people in for the final push on ssn!!!

Believable6 Unbelievable0

That is the main problem with loan signings, some just don't care

I gotta laugh at all the KB haters changing their opinion of him, to be honest we would all like a mega rich chairman...i know leicester havent done great so far with all the money but we are leeds, and if we'd had there money we'd of attracted PL players, and when we go up we will. Not really got a point but ya know....MOT.

Believable3 Unbelievable4

Whats point in this post??? im neither anti nor pro but you are just trying to wind up anti bates when alot of them have come out to try unite with everyone and your just doing this because?? to try divide us once more?? are you any better than the protestors?

Agree9 Disagree0

Well maybe ppl shouldnt abuse sum1 then complement them when they like something they do. Cowards are cowardly.

Agree2 Disagree3

Fans wanted change. Bates has brought it. He has answered to the fans with what they want. And my point is back the team instead of making stupid comments.

Have we heard if the rumours are true regarding Smith? Is he staying or joining Townsend packing his bags and returning home to mum ? I suppose that's another reason why loan players don't always work".........no alegence they know they still have a contract with their parent club plus are still on much larger wages"........the other thing is can you imagine how the other players feel knowing that a team mate is on double and treble what they are on, bound to create a bit of tension.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

Staying smith rumours not true

Got a feeling that Warnock's team selection could shock us all a lot. He will have different opinions to Grayson and just because Grayson did or didn't like someone doesn't mean he will, and if Grayson allowed them to slack and still play, Warnock won't have it.
Maybe

Lonergan
Smith Lees O'Dea White
Brown Clayton
Nunez Rogers
Snodgrass(c)
Becchio

Anybody who is going to sarcastically comment anything about Paynter don't bother. He scored 29 goals in the league for Swindon in one season, so he's obviously capable. Plus OS says McCprmack ain't trained all week. {Ed020's Note - EDITED IT FOR YOU MATEY}

Is it just me or was Townsend not really as good as some made out?
I for one wont miss him now he's gone back to his mummy because its too grim up north for a soft lad like him.
In his seven games (apart from the goal against Donny) did he make so much difference?

Believable6 Unbelievable0

If he hadn't of left you wouldn't be saying this, I think he has played well in most of his games, thought he was the best player on his debut against burnley

Agree1 Disagree2

I said every time I watched him play that he could certainly beat players, but his final ball into the box was dreadful. He did two positive things in his time here - draw fouls to get a man sent off against Burnley in his first game, and score in his final game - every ting else in between was not good enough.

I'm quite new to this forum, and it is interesting to see the change in morale over the last few weeks. However can a number of you please take a reality check on all these posts that say Bates will do anything to put money in his own pocket? The guy is 80. He has all the money he needs.....his family have all the money they need....he is simply running a sensible business model with this strategy - get real!!

I am actually quite impressed that at 80 he still has the patience to take all of this and do what he thinks is right for the club. OK, he has a somewhat strange personality, and in many cases his stuck in his ways, but find me an 80 year old who isnt, especially one who has built a fortune, and survived in the football world (which lets face it is full of idiots and hangers on generally) for as long as he has.

Warnock is absolutely the right man for the job. Bates will absolutely back him - because he knows that Warnock knows what he is talking about - unlike many many other managers who may have been quite good players but have no CLUE about business.

Believable7 Unbelievable5

Although i am not bates' biggest fan and i dont agree with some (or alot even) of some of his comments, slagging old players off etc i agree and think that his running off the club has been very good.

people should remember not even a decade ago we were hitting all time low's finacially and we were lucky to even see a Leeds United at all. bates seems to have come in, settle the ship and i would confidentally say there are a lot worse teams than us now.

having said all that, my personal opinion is that Bates has done OK but he has taken us maybe as far as he can?! i cant see any inverstors coming in or Bates selling up though until we are in the promised land...

Keep the Faith in Bates and NW
MOT!

Agree2 Disagree2

The good thing is that Warnock doesn't have to work and doesn't have to prove anything so Bates doesn't hold all the cards anymore...that could be good for getting players in etc

Interesting phrasing from NW in this interview for the Daily Mirror. He's said he won't be staying on after the end of his 15 month contract and would like to enjoy his retirement, but the wording of what he said (quote at bottom) worries me a bit especially after all the comments we get on here about KB not wanting promotion this year due to large payments due.

I hope its just a typo and he didn't say it as it reads below but still concerning.

“I always said I wanted one more big challenge, but I don’t see it going on beyond the prime aim of promotion,” he said. “I would not want to go into the Premier League with Leeds or anyone else, to be honest.

Believable0 Unbelievable2

I think thats fine, if we get tothe premiership we will need a real top manager to attract and manage top footballers

Agree1 Disagree1

The guy wants to retire before his heart gives out on him or before he turns into a strawberry nosed slurring boozer like Fergusson. Let the man do what he can and let him retire gracefully after Leeds being crowned championship champions!!!

Agree3 Disagree0

Bit of a contradiction, but as I see it his contract will see us safe this season, with a massive push for the PL next, then (if/when sucessful) a new manager can come in (possible together with a new owner/Chairman etc.).

What do you reckon - 2+2 = 5, or am I thinking along the right lines, here?

Agree2 Disagree2

I think it's great NE is proven at getting teams promoted but he has a poor record of the premier league and he has stated that he doesn't like managing in the prem. NW gets Leeds promoted then goes gracefully and with all or support and appreciation
