Use our rumours form to send us leeds transfer rumours.

Just to clarify a few things re Mr Leeds Jonny Howson, I can't believe I have heard so many people wish him luck. I also can't believe people are trying to say he was pushed, or that he was trying to secure his future.

This is a guy that decided to allow his contract to run down despite several attempts by the club to extend his contract, the contract offered to him was 15k basic plus bonus payments. I think he would be very secure on that. As for Ben Parkers apparent comments if they are true I find it unforgiving that a player with his injury record and performances for the club, who has been looked after so well and supported, and paid a healthy wage it smacks of ungrateful hypocrisy and his contract should be terminated if true and keep hold of his registration, because it is gross misconduct.

Regarding people comparing it to a promotion is it really, being a squad player for a bottom of the table team who will go down at the end of the season. Read the comments of Steven Gerard about leading and playing for your club for life and being a true legend, Howson hasn't even been to any matches since he was injured. It's clear to me that Howson is not a true fan and he has moved for the money, why would you turn £15k per week down. When he's crying when they go down I'll have my pint then.

Don't wish him luck, does he care about Leeds, Does he give a flying fish, come on people smell the coffee he couldn't care, he's dirty stum. Mr Leeds yeh rite!

Believable9 Unbelievable5

So you were there during contract discussions then? Of course you weren't so what would you know. Howson played over 200 games for us and has earned the right to the move.

Agree1 Disagree6

What utter b****cks you give fans a. Ad name pal. I wonder how you would act if you were offered more money to move jobs. Also he has done fantastic for the club. Don't be a winger and wish the lad well becuase he deserves it grow up and stop moaning

Agree3 Disagree6

And you know for a fact it was 15k a wk he turned down, that my friend is SPECULATION,he's gone to play premier league football,i am sure money didn't come into it,we have had 6 yrs with him in the side trying to get it and are no nearer now than at any other stage,he has grasped the opportunity to play in the top flight,he is now a premier league player something most of our current squad can only dream about

Agree2 Disagree6

You talk absolute and utter sh** he was forced out, plain and simple this is Bates' plan and tbh FairPlay to Parker for saying it as it is, as he too is a Leeds fan! I cannot even be bothered to divulge in explaining the ins and outs of this corrupt hierarchy we are under, but attacking a lad who I know as well as most Leeds fans have his all for us and probably still would have; if he'd even been given a sniff at £15k a year which I suspect he wasn't (The führers wage cap remember).

Agree0 Disagree6

I actually totally agree with this - but be ready for the flood of idiots who love any excuse to kick Leeds United. The club made him a good offer. It's interesting to think back to peoples' attitudes on Beckford. I also vividly remember Bradley Johnson being booed last season when he wouldn't sign a contract. What makes Howson different? Oh yes, he's from Leeds, so he loves the club just like Alan Smith does. Pah!

I also agree with the comments about Ben Parker. He had no right to stick his nose in like he did. One thing's for certain, he'll definitely not be missed and I hope we end up selling him to Carlisle.

Finally, I don't think this has been said in general, but I must admit I'd be less than impressed with the signing of Howson if I was a Norwich fan. He's not a Premiership footballer, he gives the ball away far too cheaply.

Agree6 Disagree2

Original Poster here I do know this for a FACT! Which most of your replies are full of conjecture and. I forgive your naive replies he is Mr Leeds so he must have been pushed yeh right, 15k it's the truth the whole truth, and nothing but the truth so help me god. 15k people thats what he turned down!

Agree4 Disagree0

Strange that there is no camera footage of Ben Parker spilling the truth in the world of camera phones no one thought I know i'll record this. OF course not because it's more BS.

Agree1 Disagree3

To the first post. Jonny's girlfriend has just had a baby. Of course he probably hasn't been to any games, he has much more important things to take care of (his young family) . . Thanks for everything Jonny! Here's to hoping you can break into the England set up :)

Agree2 Disagree4

If Howson plays for England I'll expect a call-up myself!

Agree2 Disagree1

Harsh, considering he plays in the Lampard/Gerrard position, and those two's days are numbered internationally. i can see it if he makes the step up.

Agree0 Disagree1

Howson will never play for England at full international level. You heard it here first.
When the going gets tough little Jonny goes missing.

Agree0 Disagree2

Dirty scum? what an absolute muppet you are

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Jan 2012 23:21:07
OMG!! Paynter scored !! and Pattison got another in a game against Celtic XI!

Believable4 Unbelievable0

He is still a donkey and reserve games are like lg2 at best

Think leeds should try signing giovanni dos santos on loan as he had no gameplay at tottenham what you think ed ? {Ed003's Note - No.}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Going to Bolton on loan, Leeds should only get permanent players unless there is an agreement for a future fee! e.g. Pugh

Agree0 Disagree1

Our record signing pugh, who realistically is a squad player,White is better than him at left back, townsend better on left mid, clayton and delph better in the middle...i agree we need to purchase rather than loan but if we want to get out of this league they need to be better players than danny pugh, and we aint gonna spend that type of money...so get ready for loan players

Agree2 Disagree1

Dos Santos would rip this league. we couldn't afford though, hence we brought Townsend instead.

Agree0 Disagree0

Our record signing Pugh?

Did you forget all about, pretty much every player signed by Howard Wilkinson, David O Leary etc?

Agree1 Disagree0

He obviously meant under SG

Agree0 Disagree0

Would be a fantastic signing but probably not going to happen

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Jan 2012 22:48:42
Leeds are set to sign mr muscles to clean up the defence plus any one else who is freein typical Leeds fashion

Believable3 Unbelievable1

24 Jan 2012 22:13:35
Jamie Vardy scores again as Fleetwood go top of the Conference. Was that his last goal for the 'Cod Army' as he is soon to ply his trade with the Mighty Whites?

Believable2 Unbelievable5

He is a conference player get a grip! Your probably him trying to get scouted!

Agree2 Disagree0

What was beckford before he joined us? muppet!

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Jan 2012 22:10:01
Just wondered bates spending lot of time in south africa, must be some rich billionaire who fancies owning a top championship club just a thought.

Believable1 Unbelievable5

Or maybe hes in discussion with Mamelodi Sundowns for Matty Pattison

Agree2 Disagree1

Or maybe he is just on holiday as its summer there!

Agree3 Disagree0

24 Jan 2012 22:03:18
Really think that we should look at signing Luke Chambers from Forest. His contract is up in the Summer, and he is easily one of the best central defenders in the league on his day! Having a tough time of it at the mo with dodgy managerial decisions and team falling to pieces. Could do a great job for us!

Believable5 Unbelievable2

24 Jan 2012 21:57:30
Lonergan
Gunter/Jager St Ledger/Mcmanus Lees White
Snodgrass Clayton Delph Townsend
Mccormack Becchio

Taylor O Dea Clingan Pugh Beckford

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Townsend not proving hes good enough yet , he just gets ball and runs most of time doesn't seem to have much of a football brain just uses his pace .rogers looks a better player to me

Agree3 Disagree1

Rogers is a better player townsend should be sent back

Agree0 Disagree2

24 Jan 2012 21:57:13
Posted earlier saying I was worried that if Paynter scored against Celtic he may be in contention for the next match. Guess what - he did. Be afraid, be very afraid !!

Believable5 Unbelievable2

I would expect to see him on bench against Birmingham instead of forrsell

Agree4 Disagree3

Paynter's on his way out. He won't play for Leeds again.

Agree1 Disagree4

Anyone watching cardiff v palace, palace down to 10 men look organised.what I am trying to say is simon was slated because we couldn't beat them just shows how hard it is against 10 men, carry on simon your doing a fine job, long may it continue.

Believable6 Unbelievable4

That proves nothing. We will see where we are at the end of the season to find out just how good or bad he is. If he is a good manager and with the our wage bill I would expect at least top six. If not his time is up.

Agree0 Disagree2

Agree with response 1 I have my opinion that he is not but we will see.

Snodgrass in talks TONIGHT with West Ham & Leicester, riots at Elland Road if this continues...

Believable1 Unbelievable8

No Way.. Go to bed.

Agree8 Disagree0

Source??

Agree2 Disagree0

Go to bed why waste time textin s**te like that.

Agree6 Disagree0

Must be a long night

Agree2 Disagree1

Can really talk to two clubs in one night?

Agree2 Disagree0

The only thing thatll cause riots is you posting utter crap like this,Snoddy will be going nowhere, keep taking the tablets.

Agree5 Disagree0

24 Jan 2012 21:17:05
Well as far as I can see we are signing around 20 players ! half of which would not get in my pub team, I would love to see wellens, clingan, boyd, and st ledger sign for us, but please stop posting utter drivel, apart from the guy who said bates was going back to chelsea lol.

Believable4 Unbelievable1

I agree 20 players are trival but I would inlcude clingan and boyd in that 20. Wellens and st ledger maybe okay but didnt st ledger play for Leicester last nite? And dont forget St ledger went down with Preston and if he were so good why would Leicester want to get rid of him?

Agree0 Disagree0

With Lonergen in same defence!

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Jan 2012 21:06:57
To be honest I'm less interested in who we sign and more interested in our players looking like they are motivated to play well when games start. I'm sick and tired of reading "we started slowly", can someone focus on how we make that happend because whatever is being tried at the moment is not working

Believable2 Unbelievable1

Well said. SG needs to motivate the players and not rely on the ref to help us out every week. We only seem to start playing when the opposition are down to ten

Agree0 Disagree2

Do you think he can get leeds to play real football?

Agree1 Disagree0

24 Jan 2012 20:47:55
Heard a few stories linking us with Michael Ball who's been released by Leicester, not sure what someone who has only played 3 games in 3 years could add to our squad, definately not a step forward, but he does have an England cap!

Believable2 Unbelievable2

I've got a new Leeds Cap if that's any good.

Agree3 Disagree0

Yes, we need a good singer to entertain the crowd at half time.

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Jan 2012 20:31:08
hi ed is smithy signing for leeds lots of talk about it on here ? {Ed013's Note - Sorry I have no idea. If he is its not in the news and is being kept very quiet}

Believable1 Unbelievable1

If he's spotted at any more fast food places he'll be about 20st by the time he returns.

Agree7 Disagree0

24 Jan 2012 20:24:09
whatch bates state if we cannot get who we want at the close of the window we will use the emergency loan window to bring in quality!!

Believable4 Unbelievable1

I'm sick off people jumpin on the hate bates band wagon. Fair enough if it's for banter but wot fans need to bare in mind is it is detrimental to our clubs image. Bates has given us a solid foundation. MOT

Agree4 Disagree5

Did he not build this solid founation by putting us into administration. Surely any Chairman could have done this, sell our best players, spent bog all on new ones and the result would be a "solid foundation".

Agree4 Disagree1

24 Jan 2012 20:10:21
Anybody giving Johnny Howson stick on here should be ashamed of themselves.
16/17 years of service before giving himself a new challenge is not good enough for you.
Sacrificing his own position this year for the cause, to play a holding role whilst itching to play in a more advanced role and been slated by the fans for his performance, all the time whilst never publicly complaining.
Not to mention leaving the only club he's ever known to fulfil his potential.
Leaving a club doesn't mean you don't love the club.
He may feel he has become stagnant & needs something new or he is unhappy with the direction in which the club is going (like some of the fans) either way we are talking about an honest dedicated lad who has always given 100% & will be looking at our results with interest.
Me personally I wish him good luck and thank him.

Believable8 Unbelievable6

If you love something why would you leave it

Agree3 Disagree2

To response#1 have you ever wanted a promotion at work? End of conversation. Good luck jonny. MOT.

Agree4 Disagree2

According to Ben Parker he was forced out and given a ultimatum to leave now or leave in the summer

Agree2 Disagree4

According to Ben Parker, a guy that has had more chances and more support than anyone. If Ben has said this his contract should be terminated. By the way Howson turned 15k down, money money, money. A promotion what for 6-7months then back to the old job for 3 more years haha. He's a dirty money grabber, there was no forcing read his words he wanted out, he does'nt love leeds, and leeds owe him nothing.

Agree2 Disagree3

24 Jan 2012 20:09:54
Leeds to sign:
ROGERS (winger) (SIGNED) :D
Wellen (cm)
pattison (st)
anyone any ideas on who we could bring in defensively?
also surely white has got to play over pugh before we lose him too! MOT MOT MOT MOT! {Ed013's Note - I didn't realise that Pattison was a striker}

Believable0 Unbelievable3

He isnt ED he's a midfielder

Agree1 Disagree0

24 Jan 2012 20:07:34
looks like alan smiths been everywhere over last few days.. ive heard he was at thorpe arch yestaday, elland road and boston spa main street today eating burgers. people dont realise that no matter what there views are on smith, he will not come back for the simple fact that we cant afford wages. making up rumours that messi is joining on a free are more believable.....

Believable3 Unbelievable1

Hope he doesn't have one of our match burgers,he will be out for the season if he finishes one of them

Agree2 Disagree0

24 Jan 2012 20:07:30
ppl seem to be cheering up abit now grayson has said he is armed with a budget and hes not scared to use it

Believable2 Unbelievable3

Its his standard feed to the press every transfer window - "I've got money to spend and lots of deals in the making, but injuries/wages/ambition/likes Mums cooking too much/wrong type of leaves on the rack etc, etc, mean I might not be rushed into signing players, we deal on our terms, won't be held to ransom blah, blah, blah". Heard it all before Simon!

Agree7 Disagree0

When did he say that?

Agree1 Disagree0

LIke I said - every transfer window. Be sure to be followed by last minute negotiations broke down after we started them at 10 minutes to close of transfer window or suddenly decided we did not need another knackered 34 year old midfielder/striker etc. etc. Next morning you find we have got a has been on loan or for free from MK Dons or Port Vale.........

Agree1 Disagree0

24 Jan 2012 19:30:50
Leeds seem to be signing a lot of players or is it perm any one from ten

Believable0 Unbelievable1

24 Jan 2012 19:25:57
Look on the bright side.. As much as us 'morons' don't like Ken Bates and some dont like Simon Grayson, at least we have stability. Look at Portsmouth ! Not good for them at moment!
I was reading an article saying Swansea have posted losses of nearly 10m last season too.

Believable8 Unbelievable0

So what about Swansea? They will get loads of dosh in this year whatever happens to them. Parachute payment if relegated, positional prize money and TV income. West Ham got £40M in TV revenue last season and they finished bottom!

Agree2 Disagree0

24 Jan 2012 19:18:44
Wow, just list below anyone we're not signing.

Believable3 Unbelievable0

Me coz im past my best...lol!! but im still a league above our defenders lol!

Agree0 Disagree2

24 Jan 2012 19:18:16
im sick of people sticking up for howson very lucky to be playing football for a living espeically at some where like leeds fancy leaving leeds for norwich come on jonny it,s for the money mate not prem football because you proberbly wont get a game

Believable6 Unbelievable2

Suppose you'd turn down the chance to secure your future wouldnt ya? Get a grip.

Agree5 Disagree5

He had a future secured a 15k per week future I think that would secure him and his fam. Well not Mr Leeds himself the dirty money grabber.

Agree1 Disagree1

24 Jan 2012 19:14:57
Good luck Jonny thanks for the highlights of promotion, hatricks at burnely and play-off smi goals. A genuine great lad who deserves a chance on the big stage. Hope it goes well for ya.

Believable7 Unbelievable9

Why would anyone begrudge him his move to a premiership club after the derisory contract he was offered and all he's done for us? I hate to say this but some of our fans are utter morons - no sense of perspective whatsoever. To everyone who clicked 'disagree' - GO GET A LIFE. Depressing...

Agree3 Disagree3

So £15000 a week is "derisory"? What do you earn? GO GET A REALITY CHECK!

Agree2 Disagree0

24 Jan 2012 19:05:36
In his leaving interview Howson said he had HEARD!! Leeds havnt been playing well... Shows his loyalty when hw doesn't bother with the team when he's out ... He wasn't that good and when we do go up i hope we Av better payers than him. He's not good enough for the top division his best performances came in league 1... That says it all..

Believable13 Unbelievable1

Totally agree, he's not a Premiership player.

Agree10 Disagree1

Played in the right position(behind the front man he was an excellent player)...i am certain Lambert will get the best out of him as he has done with all the other championship/league 1 players he has taken to the premiership..i also bet he doesn't play him in front of the back four!

Agree4 Disagree2

Grow up ya to$$er. Just wish him the all the best. Knowing the lad personally you wouldnt wish to meet a more genuine down to earth fella.
New house, baby and now football cub. Lots to handle at 23 so stop sagging him off and let him enjoy the opportunity.

Agree3 Disagree10

Poor howson new house bet it,s not a back2back down east end park really hard done by isnt he

Agree9 Disagree0

Only onre tosser and its not the one that supports his beloved club and spends his earnings going to watch them... its the one that betrays his club and goes for the money!!

Believable4 Unbelievable4

I'll agree that most of them are f******* barmy.

Agree3 Disagree1

24 Jan 2012 18:24:11
I dont blame howson one bit for leaving some of the stick he had been getting from some sections of the fans had been well over the top especially has he was playing in a position that he wasnt used to playing in he was playing in a much deeper position in the middle of park ans some fans seem to forget he was a striker when he was coming through the academy good luck jonny and thanks for the great memories ie bristol rovers coming of the bench to galvanise not just the players but also the fans? There's only one jonny howson

Believable4 Unbelievable3

24 Jan 2012 18:01:08
norris to leeds for 1.2 million from portsmouth so they can pay off there tax man {Ed013's Note - He is out for the season}

Even more likely then.

I didn't give a response. I could have gave a response but doubt you would post it! {Ed013's Note - I try and post as much as I can without the swearing or digs at people}

leeds preparing to make an enexspected bid rumoured to be in the 35 million pound region for a young lad who works at mcdonalds. mcdonalds are keen to hold on to him though as they can see the potential he posseses and wold rather keep him as they are keen to fight off all thier rivals ; burger king and nandos to keep at the top of the food chain any thoughts ed? {Ed013's Note - 35 million is probably the ammount of burgers the Leeds team has eaten this season!}

Believable3 Unbelievable1

24 Jan 2012 17:05:21
I see Johnny's gone to Norwich, good luck to him.Now its time to get on with winning promotion.its time for every Leeds United fan to ask themselves wether they'd prefer to spend 90 minutes on match day cheering the team to promotion or 90 minutes slagging Bates off and our beloved club dropping points left, right and c ntre..i know which i choose. Its time to MARCH ON TOGETHER ,all the way to the premier league, for we are UNITED and we are the BEST,we are UNITED and you know the rest.....MARCHING ON TOGETHER......ALWAYS.

Think Leeds need to put a few cheeky bids in for Portsmouth centre back can't remember his name but he's only about 24 and with Portsmouth oweing 1.8m to Hmrc may have to accept ed any idea of further transfers

Believable3 Unbelievable1

They will probably be given a transfer embargo, no buying or selling, probably throw in a points reduction as well.. If it where to be us it would have already took effect.

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Jan 2012 16:46:54
I just wanted to comment on the so called negativity surrounding our amazing club, wot with the jonny howson situation, bates, SG under pressure etc etc. I for one can't understand the fuss, do some Leeds fans have short memories? We nearly lost our club, we were plunging down the leagues, we kept missing on promotion from lg1. If we at to have a bright future we need to MOT, or are some fans deliberately trying to fly in the face of our famous motto? MOT always.

Believable3 Unbelievable2

Its becoz there inpatient, i mean yes we are a premier club and have a big and great fan base but some things take time and during that time we will have disspointing results and bad runs.

Agree2 Disagree2

We were you mean!! lets not forget that

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Jan 2012 16:46:41
lets get real,
we wont sign anyone for a fee,
so no Clingan, St.Ledger or Wellens

we won't sign players on big wages,
so no Alan Smith, Craig Dawson or Danny Collins

we will sign the cheapest option
so expect Matty Pattison, Ivar Ingimarsson and Stuart Parnaby

Believable6 Unbelievable3

24 Jan 2012 16:45:55
Grayson having a clearout as he re-shapes his squad. Expect Bruce, Sam, Paynter, Connolly and possibly even Brown to leave. O'Brien currently not getting paid. Bromby unlikely to be fit enough to be moved on before the window closes. Somma nowhere near being able to kick a ball and won't feature this season.

Believable3 Unbelievable0

Hope I might give SG till end of season then, as this has been needed for a long time now

Agree0 Disagree0

O'brien is getting payed

Agree0 Disagree1

No, O'Brien isn't getting paid which is why he is taking the club to a tribunal, date set for early Feb. Bates stopped his wages after he said he wouldn't play. He is free to move to another club but that club would have to pay us for his registration, bit like Kebbie.

Agree0 Disagree0

I have been told we are still paying him.

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Jan 2012 16:34:13
Good luck to jonny howson for the future?

Believable4 Unbelievable5

You shouldn't wish ex players good luck, I think it's a stupid statement is he wishing us luck, if so why didn't he stay. We owe him nothing.

Agree4 Disagree5

24 Jan 2012 16:11:51
johnny howsons reason for leaving lufc was to play prem football asked if he thought lufc would get promoted he said i think so. if u think that why leave does not make a lot of sence

Believable8 Unbelievable1

Agree other than money in the short term, he was given £15k per week contract that wasn't enough. it's a joke, a real joke, don't blame Leeds. He's now like all ex leeds players who move on for money dirt.

Agree5 Disagree4

Not what was said in the Pavilion in a very public statement by Ben Parker. Check your facts before posting - Howson was pushed.

Agree0 Disagree1

Let's nail this once and for all, if Howson didn't want to leave he could have said no to Norwich and stayed until the summer, when he could have made a decision based on where Leeds were. Good luck to him,but don't make him out as a martyr.

Agree1 Disagree1

24 Jan 2012 16:08:46
see ya later jonny, best of luck in the prem you deserve it kid

Believable6 Unbelievable6

Deserve it how? if he had deserved it he would have captained Leeds there!

Agree5 Disagree2

Wasnt capable of taking leeds there.might prove to be a different player with a different squad around him.but,no good here anymore.

No "I" in team fella

Leeds beat Celtic in a behind closed
doors game. The final score was 2-0
Matty Pattinson and Billy Paynter both
scored.

Pattinson looks like he would be a good
addition to the leeds squad and Billy
has now doubled his value with that
goal (now worth a tenner!)

MOT

Believable9 Unbelievable0

If billy barn door scored it can't have been their 5thh choice keeper! Expect nothing from this pattison and we don't be disappointed

"The past few games, from what I've heard, they haven't been playing well but it shows signs of a good side who can pick up points when not playing well," said Jonny.

Sounds like he wasn't much of a fan to even come watch the matches.

Believable5 Unbelievable1

Or maybe it's a sarcastic comment aimed at the fans who criticise the team.

Paynter scores yipee Leeds beat Celtic 2-0 Patterson scores again Gj {Ed013's Note - That may give Paynter some valuation to get him off the books}

It may also change graysons mind and he may have another chance.

I've just been told by my mate who works at elland road that johnny howson can't agree personal terms with Norwich. Apparently johnny would rather take the 15k a week Leeds offered than move to Norwich for 20k. The story is set to break at 6pm tonight apparently.

Believable4 Unbelievable18

More nonsence, even if true, put the following words in the correct order, bridges his burnt, he is a splitter, I feel sorry for him, someone at some stage must have told him he is good, he is not, he is average

Agree4 Disagree0

Funny that cos he's agreed a 3 and a half year deal!

Think you'll find he's now officially the new Norwich number 24. Why do people feel the need to make this stuff up.

I have just been on Leeds web site and it say that Adam clayton is not going any where.
He states that he is happy at Leeds and likes the new midfield playing along side delph. Also he said he is here for the forseable future.
Come on grayson let's get delph on a deal for the rest of the season now and push for the premier league were are club belongs.

Marching on together !!

Believable6 Unbelievable0

Thanks for that, some of us are able to access the official site ourselves, is that the best you can do? Hardly a rumour if Leeds are saying it publicly, go look up the meaning of rumour sometime soon. {Ed020's Note - no need for the sarky comment, some people come to this site before the official.}

Agree4 Disagree1

Hoping so but Gradel said the exact same thing, he wanted to play for leeds 'for years' to come, 3 weeks later he went

Agree3 Disagree0

Heh Ed, lighten up, is this not a banter site? Anyhow, I was being facetious. {Ed020's Note - haha ok i'll let you off this one time}

Agree0 Disagree0

Hey ed go give your head a shake {Ed013's Note - I did and my team flew out!}

Agree0 Disagree0

What does facetious mean lol {Ed013's Note - it means - not meant to be taken seriously or literally: a facetious remark! I meant to put teeth, not team! my bad}

I was at the match on Saturday and judging by the players reaction to the goals and after the match (especially snods and clayton), they don't look like they want to leave the club or lack any ambition! Darren o'Dea played a stormer so I think he would be a good permanent signing. Let's get behind the lads we have and get back to were we belong! MOT

Just seen Alan Smith eating a cheeseburger on Boston Spa high street. Putting two and two together he must have been negotiating terms at TA ahead of his transfer.

Believable10 Unbelievable7

No putting two and two together you tell you he was hungry

Agree4 Disagree0

Putting two and two together PROPERLY he's obviously really looking after his fitness and bulging waistline then.

Agree4 Disagree0

Where can you get a burger in Boston Spa High Street?

Matt Mills and Richie Wellend anyone? I for one would be happy to see these in a Leeds shirt :)

Believable5 Unbelievable1

No chance of affording mills

Agree2 Disagree1

Mills cost leicester 5 mill and is their captain so i doubt we could prize him away with £50 a week wages

Agree4 Disagree1

Mills is apparently on £32k a week at Fester so it would ake us, by my calculations another 26 seasons to save up for him.

The news all Leeds fans have been waiting for !! Billy Paynter is back and will play in a behind closed doors game at Thorp Arch against Celtic. (OS)

What worries me that if by some chance he manages to hit the target then he might be considered for our next game. Any news on Somma by the way ?

Believable2 Unbelievable2

I don't expect to see somma before the playoffs

Agree2 Disagree0

And we won't be in them so next season

Just saw highlights from ipswich game on fox in Australia. Embarrassed to be a Leeds fan with all that anti bates crap. If your a true fan you support your boys through EVERYTHING! I own a business and understand sometimes decisions made will be unpopular with the customer but they are for the long term SUCCESSFUL future. Seems to me this current situation is the same. C'mon let's have some vision, howson decision the right one. Keep your eye on the prize all, still a lot of games left. MOT

Believable9 Unbelievable1

I thought you watched it on your yacht Ken!

Agree3 Disagree3

So you own a business. And you may make unpopular decisions that upset customers. But in the long term you will be successful?! Arrogant ar$e.
How about; if you don't listen to your customers you may go out of business?
Thought of that one? More businesses fail than succeed due customers voting with their feet, and arrogant 'businessmen' thinking they are always right. Ken Bates, Fred Goodwin = no difference.
KB is already being severely hit were it hurts him the most.....

Agree1 Disagree1

Arrogant im not and I take customers opinions seriously - your a fool if you dont consider feedback. BUT they don't run my business same as we don't run Leeds. Not always as simple as you might see from a customer/supporter side of the fence. Understand where you are coming from as sport carries a lot of emotion though.

Not a rumour, but are other people concerned about what came out yesterday.

Home grown players are on a lot less money than players who have been brought in, presumably as their wages reflect the lack of a transfer fee.

When the home grown player nears the end of the contract and asks for parity, the request is refused and the player is sold.

This flawed policy means that a home grown player will never fully develop with Leeds and is contrary to what most Leeds fans want to see.
