NW spoke of 3/4 targets, this should be enough to fill in the jigsaw, so from what he has bought so fa, I think the following will arrive:

1 x right back
1 x central midfielder 9 one who can play)
1 x Top quality goal scorer

things still to happen with current squad,

All transfer listed players to be sold/loaned out

Ross McCormack to depart, paving the way for the major striker above.

I unknow is Snodgrass, i personaly dont think its the offer anymore, i think Snodgrass has been given the option, to stay...or go, if he goes expect all the funds to be used on another midfielder/winger.

I think NW now having secured Adie white, may use AW in snodgrass postion, could be exciting.

Squad should be completed by end of next week, giving NW 2 full weeks before the first cup game.

Heard this over the weekend and not sure whether its true or not, apparently Snodgrass has had discussions with Warnock and the potential new owners and stated that he is prepared to stay at Leeds until January and then he can exercise his option to sign a new improved contract or leave . The condition he has put on this is that Leeds have to be in the top 6 and challenging for auto promotion and significant investment has to be made if required at that time, is it me or does that sound like a player that thinks he is better than the club or is it Warnock trying to keep him on side.

Commented on a post earlier about Nicky Maynard, but seriously hope these rumours about us being interesting and making a bid are true. Such a good player in my eyes, saw him play for Crewe against us at Elland Road a few seasons ago and he looked lethal - been a favourite of mine since.

He's a finisher, with decent pace, exactly what we need. Praying that we're seeing him in a white shirt next season..

Is it just me or am I not alone in not being very excited by Leeds UTD's signings so far?!

They all look like risky buys with a chequered history of 'sometimes a hit' but more often than not 'a miss'!

I hope these last few icing on the cake signings are something to get excited about as if Snodgrass is going our squad looks very average indeed as things stand

Just my thoughts here, Warnock has signed players and only 1 appear to be for a fee, I believe that Due diligence will completed shortly but the investment will kick in once promoted to PL, Warnock has clearly stated that he wants a shot at one more promotion to the PL then he will call it quits, if this is true then a new manager will be in charge next season once back in PL with the investment to spend

This is who I want for the final four. Peltier McGugan Templeton and Maynard.

I know this means no Norris no Beckford but I prefer McGugan over Norris. He's younger. As much as I like Beckford, Maynard is the better player.

Still feel even with those signings we are 1 just 1 player short. In the centre half position. Unless much mistaken in reality we only got Kissa for cover unless Gimple is ready. Bromby isn't back until New Year and won't be at the peak of his game til presumably Easter 2013 so we need 1 more central defender in my opinion. We get McGugan and Templeton wouldn't want to go up against our midfield including our midfield from the bench which would look a bit tasty to me.

Outs:
McCormack
Conolly
O'Brien
Paynter

Ins:
Peltier (likely)
Halford (could see it happening)
Cranie (likely)
Maynard (probable but we'll have to up our bid)
Templeton (could see it happening but only with takeover funds)
Russell (unlikely but interest shown)

I must admit I wasnt impressed with Leeds signing Gray and Ashdown although I understand they will probably act as cover. Overall NW has brought in consistent and hard working players. They may not be the cream of the talent but they will certainly give 100%.

Believable0 Unbelievable1

For free signings they are about as good as you are going to get. Ashdown will probably be hardly used. Funny how we have 2 keepers whose names amalgamated together form Paddy Ashdown. Gray will come off the bench and will hopefully bag 10 league goals which will help.

Also funny we have brown, white, green and gray!

Lb drury - white - Pugh
Cdm Austin - brown
Cm green - ( ? )
Lw varney - white - rogers - Pugh

With peltier as a target. If we get him we have cover for most areas. Does anyone else think these are the most likely positions for these supposed ( excellent signings) warnock has stated he will be aiming for. Another centre half, central midfield cover for green. Hopefully more of a creative type. And a pace striker. If it all happens we would have a really strong squad. Starting to get excited.

For the striker I'm thinking Maynard or dj Campbell
The central midfield player could be buzsaky.
I'm struggling to think of a decent centre half. I feel like we've missed out on a few really good ones so far.

Got the skill. Not the strength. He'd be a winger in the Championship. We don't need any more. There's better in front of him. Varney Snods Rogers. His best position is in the hole behind the striker but he doesn't have the physique to pull that off at Championship level. However, he'd destroy teams in this role in League One. Best to sell him my opinion.

To all those still complaining about the quality of Neil Warnocks signings and, now that the takeover it appears will be announced shortly were expecting the new owners to splash the cash big style, with big name signings, do you really expect quality prem players to sign for us now, when there is absolutely no guarentee we will get promoted next year. Neil Warnock is building a team to get us out of the Championship, when we achieve that goal then watch the big name players start to arrive at Elland Road. Spanishwhite

I'd prefer Buzsacky for that role over Norris.Pity we didn't go for Whitbread aswell

Agree2 Disagree1

IMO,NW has given his biggest clue yet on the takeover situation stating,he feels the crucialsignings are yet to come, possibly or more, big name signings he called them, which dont come cheap,a clear indication the money will shortly be available to buy these players, good times are just around the corner.

Agree1 Disagree1

Hi, yes a good player and seems like a decent sort. He along with Halford and Huseklepp at least showed to Pompey fans that they are aware of not only the problems the club are facing, but that they are aware of what it means to those who pay their wages.
No matter who may or may not have shown any compassion to Leeds when we went through what we did, and not withstanding how the goombas at Portsmouth voted about our points deductions, it is a plague that should not be visited on any fans house, regardless of who they support.
To me, these are the sort of players who are welcome at the club I follow any day, and they also happen to be quite good.

having a debate on just want to get opinions, would you rather see leeds play what people may call 'boring' football similar to Stoke, being defensively solid and using a lone tall striker and getting 3 points, or playing slick fluid football n risk losing due to a counter attack?

i know which one id rather have if it got us 3 points

Believable2 Unbelievable1

I think NW will actually get us playing some attractive football with the signings already made & the players we are being linked with.QPR were a good side when they got promoted and there weren't many people claiming they were boring. I believe that most realistic fans want the best of both worlds where the games we need to dig in we are able to and when we need to play attractive football against the poorer teams that we can also do this. We do need our very own Adel Taarabt(sp) thogh

Agree1 Disagree1

We need to be defensive but not that defensive 1 as striker no thanks . you only play like that against better teams and were the best so no need to play that way.
we need to be quick on the counter attack like grayson had us playing .
4-4-2 maybe 4-3-3

Agree1 Disagree0

46 boring 1-0 please {Ed020's Note - i second that}

Agree2 Disagree0

3 points all day long get us back to pl anyway possible

Agree0 Disagree0

I would like to see us stick to the attractive attacking football that we sometimes displayed BUT backed up with a solid back four, a hard working midfield, comfortable with the ball, with a view to us cutting down the conceded goals this season, that alone will probably net us an extra 20-30 points.
If Grayson had managed to sort the back four out we would have been in the playoffs on both the last two years tbh

Can not believe that due diligence is taking this long!.

May be potential owners are waiting for the court case Leeds has with the police to be sorted out!.

Believable5 Unbelievable1

I was just about to say that about the court case myself. It's looked all along that papa smurf has been clearing the decks/debts so that the club could be sold without any outstanding problems. ( I personally think that TA and ER were in his wife's name)
Lets hope that the take over will be soon in going through.
I'd also like to say that some of the players that NW has brought in might not be that good in some people's eyes. However, I think that the team he's building is far superior to the one that was here at this time last year. Give him a chance of building a 'team' to get us in the premiership and get behind this team. If some of the players are c**p then we can all see that NW is only human like the rest of us and makes the odd mistake. We are Leeds and we should be proud of it!

We don't make any signings and it's bates' fault coz he's clearly ripping us off. We make signings and there not good enough! They've not all been freebies we have paid fees for almost everyone of the signings. Warnock knows what he's doing and doesn't sign players for the sake of it. He knows that you don't get out of this league by playing fancy passing football. Can we not complain about Gray and ashdown, clearly they are both substitutes, Gray being an impact player and cover and ashdown being paddy kenny's competition and cover for him if needed. Secondly warnock clearly has another striker lined up as he said he believes varney will score 8-10 goals, not a leading scorer, 4 more crucial signings and the premier league may be insight MOT

At Last the ED's have something official to put on our pages, all we need now is a Major striker and an attacking midfielder and I will be pleased. Not sure what the heck is going on with the takeover Gj

Don't forget a right back!

So, we've agreed a deal with SK Brann for Rodolph Austin, and I personally can't see the fella turning us down, so...Do any of you remember what happened the last time we had a "Rod" playing for us? :-)

We've signed 4 players today and there is still negativity. Gray and Ashdown will be squad players and we need em. Gray can score in this division and Ashdown is certainly better that Rachubka! Varney will do a job Austin, I haven't seen him so can't comment, but other fans are positive. It's taking shape now. I would have taken these signings a few months back. They're Warnock style players and his track record speaks for itself.

Totally agree mate, some people will always moan. Luckily Warnock's the man in charge, and he's won several REAL promotions - not ones on his pc!

MOT!!

Why is everyone getting so worked up about Snodgrass - he hasnt shown the loyalty that White has or he would sign the contract- if he wants to go so be it - better to have the cash and get in some players who actually want to play for us than go to a small club like Norwich

Believable3 Unbelievable2

" he hasnt shown the loyalty that White has"

er, he agreed to stat till xmas and make his mind up then, and he's still with us, is that not layalty?

Also White was out of contract and took his time to sign after waiting for better offers, is that loyalty?

Also Snodgrass STILL has a year contract unlike White......

Lol thats a joke we grew white into a footballer from 8 years old and he had been in talks with other clubs cause his wages werent high enough for him? Also his offer was on the table for much much longer than snodgrass' has been on for. As well as this snodgrass is not moaning about the value of his wages he wants to see ambition like all the fans do.
