As 3 strikers have been made available I think we are more than likely going to sign avennate think that's the spelling he wants a move to england out of the 3 interested aston villa need better than thi guy after selling benteke think they will pas watford have deeney just got vydra on a perm they have igalo these 3 wee all ace last season btw then there's forrestieri back from been on loan so with these facts added up this is my conclusion we are getting the uraguian crouch LUFC4LIFE

Fantastic, Urgauyan Crouch to add to Wood and Erwin, both of who are 6'1 plus. They just need the service now

24 Jul 2015 19:13:38
Looking at our strikers, I think it'll be another season where everyone will have to chip in with goals. Ant around 10, Wood around 10, Erwin the same. Can't see any of them hitting 20 not with the current service.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

24 Jul 2015 20:08:06
If they all get 3-4 more each then we don't need a 20 goal striker.

Mowatt and Murphy will contribute, as wells as the 2 centre backs.

Agree0 Disagree1

25 Jul 2015 00:30:03
Byram can pop up with a few as well

Agree0 Disagree1

25 Jul 2015 07:56:28
woods will hit at least 18, mowatt will hit double figures as well, erwin 15, murphy 5, cook 5, defence 10, morrision 65

25 Jul 2015 09:40:13
Exactly what I was thinking BW!
Well, nearly exactly!

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Jul 2015 10:58:07
have a bet on morison getting 40 goal 1000 million to one

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Jul 2015 17:03:50
Mowatt has done nothing in pre season and I think last season was a one off, he could get around 4/5 like Murphy does which is still a good tally, I've got a tenner on Wood to score 20+ but I can't see it just now

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Jul 2015 20:13:39
mowatt is very similar to fat frank he will score double figures injury permitting for the rest of his career. why can you not see it now smitch this morning we was going to be unbeaten for first three now you seem glum for a change

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Jul 2015 18:21:07

Hi everyone, avid fan of 29 years, new to this site, but hope to be a regular poster. Have read and used this site for ages and thought I would offer some of my opinions and see whether anyone agrees.
So in regards to players brought in, I think Erwin, wood and turnbull are potentially very smart acquisitions, would love to see a pacey, run at defence minded striker brought in, potentially a number 10 position role, thought ajose could have been given a go there, failing that I'd give a youngster a run from the start of the season ( worked well for mowatt and cook!) .
Think jerome Thomas could do a job, experienced, skilful and still got pace from what I saw of him last year, good mentor for the talent we seem to have oozing from our youth development. Would like to see another centre back brought in. Like cooper and bamba, but both wreckless at times and really don't feel bellusci is consistent enough to hold down a first team position all season. Can't help but think we missed out on a great buy in Jason shackell, think Derby are doing some great business this year, along with Middlesbrough and Fulham!
All in all the midfield is good, think Adyemi could be for us what coquelin is for arsenal and really make the position his! Hope we play byram as right back, as it is his strongest position, although beradi is looking good. Taylor at left back suits me, think it could be a great season, hoping all these youngsters are being given good contracts, they will all eventually be the spine of this amazing football team after all.
All in all I'm really positive about the start of the season. Think the squad looks strong, with plenty of competition in all positions ( baring the wings, but let's not get into that), but I definitely see us in top 6, when we eventually start to gel, and there's goals in U.S. With the strike force we have amassed . Shame to see sharp leaving, as he was my choice in the middle of the front 3, but we've got plenty of back up there. Here's to a good season, would be good to have some feedback, positive or negative. Cheers lads

welcome mate and very good post shame about the name people might find it hard to agree with Brolin

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Jul 2015 21:52:34
Thanks a lot Bermondsey , yes a peculiar name choice, only chosen as I had his name on the back of my first ever Leeds shirt, bought by my father. Hanks for the advice though, will bear it in mind:)

25 Jul 2015 07:58:08
nice that he got you the shirt not sure about the name though, do you still speak to your father? my dad once suggest killkenny and I never forgave him

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Jul 2015 14:54:05
Well it was a rocky patch, but we eventually got through it when he replaced said shirt with a yeboah shirt, soon forgotten afterwards!

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Jul 2015 20:15:27
you got a good dad there yeboha was the one and only name I have ever had on the back of my shirt, sadly I wanted morrision but step dad said it was too many letters and too dear

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Jul 2015 16:20:17
I think we will get all fifteen points and morrison top goal scorer and goal of the month and manager of the month . sleep . snore! Dream! Lol

Believable0 Unbelievable0

24 Jul 2015 16:58:15
i honestly think if he plays and stays morrision could be worth 15 goals plus few assist

Agree1 Disagree1

24 Jul 2015 18:37:52
Bw I agree seems to suit roslers style and think he could turn in to a good player his season

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Jul 2015 23:24:47
Oh please bw. Behave!

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Jul 2015 08:47:45
Problem with Morrison is the chances he misses 5 or six a game and 90% go wide so no rebounds. can't afford to miss so many in this league, maybe handy back up.

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Jul 2015 11:32:05
i would place money on morrision getting double figures and maybe even 12/15 if the odds were big enough maybe 5000-1. no in all honestly thing 12/15 at about 25/40-1 would be a really smart bet. then again I also had leeds to go up with michael ricketts as top scorer so what do I know. ever the optomist. people say is glass half full or half empty. I say niether it is re-fillable

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Jul 2015 15:08:24
Seriously bw
He must be due a good one
Nothing against the bloke. He works hard
If he turns out to actually do what he is paid for. I'm happy
Put your dosh down mate

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Jul 2015 17:56:55
he is an odd one as he was a seriously good player for a couple of seaons. last season was not one of them seasons

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Jul 2015 11:04:51
Now we are getting nearer to the off, what are you all expecting points wise from the first 5 league games? Looking at them I can't see past 7pts so anything above would be a bonus! Having said that, I am the eternal pessimist, my glass of Black Sheep is always half empty 😝

Believable0 Unbelievable0

24 Jul 2015 11:49:48
I'll go with 5 more points than whatever Smitch predicts!

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Jul 2015 12:11:11
That will be 5 in total then.

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Jul 2015 12:32:31
You may say that Darren. I couldn't possible comment!

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Jul 2015 12:44:34
Over to you then Smitch.

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Jul 2015 13:01:31
I'll go with 13, Derby could be tuff!

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Jul 2015 13:09:04
I'm going with 15 points. Nah nah nah

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Jul 2015 13:53:45
Jeez, I AM a pessimist!!

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Jul 2015 14:13:08
I'll see your 15 and raise you 3!

Agree1 Disagree0

24 Jul 2015 15:33:02
I'll go with 3 points because of Yorkshire Radio job offer to Sepp Blatter is bound to earn us a points deduction

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Jul 2015 16:24:10
Think we will have a decent start think 12 points from first five

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Jul 2015 16:45:38
I think we going to get 22 points. the league are going to gift us 7 points for shafting us for the last 8 years or so

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Jul 2015 18:39:40
Smitch has being very quiet since this recent onslaught maybe we should leave him be until the next negative comment?

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Jul 2015 19:10:11
Funny that mate as I have a tenner on that Leeds go unbeaten in their opening 3 games. I think from those opening 5 games, based on pre season and signings . going to say 6 points. If we beat Burnley its because they got a player sent off and we scored a 87th min penalthy courtesy of Byram being fouled in the box.

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Jul 2015 20:42:50
I'll go for 8 points. I think we'll beat Burnley, draw with Reading, lose to Bristol City, beat Sheff Wed & draw with Derby,

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Jul 2015 21:18:27
Goingto be a tuff season a lot of top teams this year all spending big

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Jul 2015 09:47:12
We will definitely beat Reading

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Jul 2015 11:34:37
sadly I think it will be draw-win-win-win-lose being hopeful and lose-draw-win-win-lose at worst

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Jul 2015 11:37:56
also smitch have to point out. you say you have had a tenner on leeds going unbeaten in frist three. yet further down on this page you moan saying come back to me two weeks into the season. this seems odd as you are saying come back to me in two weeks when we are unbeaten. this a change or heart or confusion?

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Jul 2015 10:10:31
i am not quite understanding the clubs (or MC's) reluctance to sign an out and out wide player.

Maybe its to try and dictate the style of play and the formation MC wants played at the club. We have just brought in 2 young brick-fruitella-houses up front and as much as I love ball to feet football, we need to be able to get down the wing and put it into the danger zone.

Some players can play that role, but a natural touchline hugger would be a massive benefit.

On Jerome Thomas links, I would have him, but as an a-nother and not as the only flank runner signed.

24 Jul 2015 14:00:41
Cellino was obsessed with the diamond formation last year, I think the 4-3-3 system is as close to that formation as you can get. Maybe this is the reason for the lack of winger activity?

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Jul 2015 16:02:00
I guess that explains it.

It might also explain his treatment of Redders (old news, I know, but still worth a mention). Redders created a system when we played a LB and RB on the advanced flank position and managed to get somewhere without the diamond, esentially strayed away from his prefered formation. so knowing we were safe, sacked his assistant, shook the ship, called him names etc etc

Or it may be case of, we are now at a financial stage of one player out, one back in. Sharp out - unknown wide player in.

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Jul 2015 09:00:59
Well you just couldn't make this one up. The prospect of Ken Bates and Sepp Blatter working together. One old fossil who does whatever he can to cling to power and (some believe, allegedly) totally corrupt to the core. And the other -Sepp Blatter!
