Have to say haven't seen a lot of him, but many rave.
I managed to see all his highlights from WBA game and was thoroughly disappointed.
Goal was well taken but his 1st touch seemed terrible. His passing was nowhere near accurate enough for us.
I hope it was more of a low-light reel than a high-lights.

Canada, the lad can see a pass and can make things happen. Tbh I would think he knows his days at rangers are done, nothing to play for really since return . With Bubs teaching you would have to feel Ezé would develop into a gem, the big boys are circling now so finally we have PL football . Would be way happier with the likes of Ezé than big nose signing any day.

we do but we are now in prem we have bit more money and will be higher up targets pecking order. i think the window will be a lot kinder to us this season and we will be far more efficent.

sorry Melbourne. I am not for sale, although would give the keeper a run for his money and of course despite being a keeper I would keep Phillips out of the team (who couldnt)

I think the other BW will cost at least 40 look at what players are going for and everyone is raving about him. Maybe the virus might change the market but I wouldn't be confident that leeds could afford that much on one player as even if the virus has hit the market it means teams will have less to spend (othrwise market would stay the same)

I honestly think John Stones is a better shout. maybe on loan. He is a belisa type player not wanted at city. Maybe a cheap sale or loan to leeds to get belisa improving him to up his price for city

this said for me the two centre backs we need to go for are cooper and webster at millwall. they will offer great value for money and were the best defensive partnership in the championship. if the sheff utd defenders can step up. they can.

I think the best we can expect from Brighton is another 1 year loan. He is obviously a burgeoning talent but at the present time they will not upset the perfectly good working partnership there already. Still one more year for White and one more year experience for Struijk seems a good compromise.

Big shout for Stones, Pep knows that Bielsa will improve him, but I think it's only 1 loan per club, so unless we buy Harrison, or we buy Stones.

Bermo, please, please, please keep on with the Phillips attacks. don't stop whatever those lesser mortals on here say. You are perfectly entitled to voice your opinion. The minority must have its say too

Besides, I for one believe your posts are the single biggest reason that Kalvin Phillips has grown in to the best defensive midfielder in the Championship. I for one believe that his improvements to the extent that major pundits are tipping him for an England call-up are down to your analysis about his lack of ability. Be damned with the idea that Bielsa has coached him from a fairly average attacking midfielder into the defensive lynchpin that has enabled up to stroll this league, it is your comments that have spurred him on to the heights. I believe in a recent interview he alluded to his reason for not transferring to Premier League club Aston Villa was all down to "showing that bloody cockney playwright how wrong he is".

So Bermo, carry on my son, your job is still in progress.

Canada conceeding the least goals or finishing top don't make you the best defensive pairing.

I think the quality of our defensive displays was often that we kept the ball so well. you don't have to be a great defender when your side has 80% posession of the ball most weeks. I think very few outside of leeds would have cooper down in the top ten championship defenders. Millwall don't have much of the ball yet the pair defend well. and the millwall goalkeeper won the golden glove award for championship this year. so there defence must be pretty decent. if not the best

on the same note you can't have man city down as the second best defensive partnership in the prem. just they keep the ball not really great defensive side.

It's a team game of course so if you want to use that as a reason to argue your point it's pointless as therefore apples are not being compared with apples.
It's like saying Bamford is a better striker than Haaland because he scores against better keepers.

cork you are right its hutchinson (who made team of the year) not webster who left (although he was decent as well)

of conceding the least goals doesn't mean you have the best centre back pairing means team defender the best overall (we all know how much our conceeding rate went up when bamford went off) we conceeded the least because we keep the ball the best that makes perfect sense to me

bit like when some brazil world cup teams have won it and not conceeded as many goals as other teams, don't mean the cb's are the best means its a good chance the team had more of the ball

just wondering where do you rate the Man city Cb's surely they must be some of the best in europe?

The Ben White issue must not be allowed to roll on for too long . It's very simple as far as I'm concerned . If you were BW what would you prefer - go back to tin pot Brighton and compete with 5 other centre backs in a team destined to continually fight relegation, join one of the big six and warm the bench or sign for the mighty whites as fan hero and first choice, almost certainly picking up an England call next season . So it's that simple . If a player wants a move these days they get it . He needs to put in a transfer request and we must not be held to ransom . £25 m plus add ons tops or we need to move swiftly on .

If we make a good decent enough offer they more than likely take it. Don't believe all their manager is saying about white being in his plans, he would have used him last season if that was the case, remember their manager said he tried to buy him when he was Swansea manager. Trying to talk up the price, offer a sensible price for him but get it done, we do like to drag out a signing.

RHC, as you say, Brighton have a plethora of centre backs at the moment
Dunk, Duffy and Webster seem to be favoured for cb. Burns has had to be moved out to left back to get a game. There is even a 18yo that rumour has it that we have enquired about! Where would Ben White fit?

I am with Mezzer when he says it's the manager talking up the price.

But, if they are going to keep him then why not make a cheeky bid for one of Dunk, Duffy or Webster. All good PL centre backs, all PL proven, and by the fact BW is being kept it must mean one of these guys will miss out. If Leeds make an offer soon it will force Brighton to address the whole situation.


On a separate note, just read Cavani is looking for £18m/ y. Gives a different twist to "free" transfer! Read a couple of weeks ago that Ollie Watkins has a £18m release clause. On a 3year deal I couldn't see him earning another £18m and thus is more within our budget. Also, he is young and so can be improved by Bielsa, and he is big so he can hold on to the ball and start the high press, and he is flexible as last season he got goals from left side and now he is through the middle. Oh, and above all he scores goals. Precious goals.
