If this summer gets any slower Ian hartes going to do it for pace! Come on GFH get the party started!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

So far the championship averages 1. 3 signings per club. We are not exactly lagging behind are we, get a grip.

just for fun lads and lasses let's see who can come up with the best answer to this. maybe the eds can pick a winner. please. just a bit of light hearted relief in this gloomy transfer window that is until it picks up next week. how many leeds players does it take to change a light bulb?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Exactly what weight?

Agree0 Disagree0

1001. 1 to hold the bulb and a thousand to turn the room round

Agree0 Disagree0

This transfer window that isn't open yet?

and the answer is 'NONE' because GFH can't afford to pay them to change it :-)

Agree0 Disagree0

None. Shaun Harvey can f*ck it up all on his own!

Agree0 Disagree0

0 because they all play for norwich.

Agree0 Disagree0

Would be very happy with this I must say. Playoffs would be expected under Big Mac.

Agree0 Disagree0

The bulb is ok is just that gfh didn't pay the electricity bill.

None at the moment because were getting enough light through the open transfer window. Th
at must be what the windows for! can't be for signing new players or owt like that!

Agree0 Disagree0

Trick question

Is it a free light bulb?

Agree0 Disagree0

Depends on what they are trying to change it into?

(Sigh) Same old Leeds.

It seems like BMcD only just got in the door and we've the same old story of our Managers having to put it all on the line in order to secure the capital required for a squad to get promoted.

The wisdom of "speculate to accumulate" is lost as soon as you cross the threshold of the ER Boardroom.

Still, if BMcD quits we could get Gus P back though Lord knows that at Leeds he'd not need to go down to the Change Room toilets to find $#!t on the floor.

I weep (for another season)

I don't think Gus would come to us because we lack ambition but who would ditch bmd and snap up Gus now?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

No sane person

Agree0 Disagree0

Why are people talking about Poyet, we have a very good manager in BMD, get behind OUR manager and leave the rest to fight among themselves.

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Jun 2013 23:08:47
To be honest I wouldnt. I like gus a lot but I really like mcd and how he's conducting himself, he seems honest & like the kind of manager players will do anything for. When reading got promoted he got them playing good attacking football which we've craved for a long time - seem to remember watching them tear us to pieces at their place. Brian has proven he can win promotion while not needing lots of cash to spend, gus is yet to do that although I think he has the potential to become a very good manager, he did well at brighton but in all fairness he had money to spend

al1977

Agree0 Disagree0

Stop talking s*** mate. We have a manager!

Agree0 Disagree0

Mcd all day. In fact I can see mcd being our boss for many many years. Just makes you feel compfy don't he. Just needs good owners and board to back him. F. Poyet. He is mercenary!

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Jun 2013 09:55:14
Op i'm nit talkin sh its just banter because things r so slow!

Agree0 Disagree0

Brian is the best Manager we've had since O'Leary! Come on GFH back him and show some ambition! MOT

Agree0 Disagree0

No BmD is a far better maanger that this t**t, shows no loyalty to his club

All this negativity about signing players is getting on my nerves!!

Beckford scored double figures in his only Premiership season despite not having much game time. He was way above League 1 standard. He is suited to Championship level, just needs a team around him to provide him with chances (granted he scores probably 1 in 4 chances), but there's no need to slate him! Not just that, but he done well for us!

If he came "home" (as it's sometimes put), I'd be happy as long as he did the business, but that applies to any player signing for us! Whether the player in question played for us previously on not shouldn't make a difference. Would you complain if this was James Milner? Aaron Lennon?

Get behind the team, whoever it may consist of, and stop whinging. Have you ever thought that Bates might have been right about players not wanting to come to Leeds because of the negativity of the fans?

If your thoughts were worth anything then you'd be in the hotseat instead of BMD.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Sick of deluded people thinking that GFH have money are we are going to sign Messi and Ronaldo. Get real, we will do well to competing for sixth place.

Agree0 Disagree0

Bates was right about the fans being negative but he was the reason why. how can you watch your best players being sold and replaced by journeymen and remain upbeat. we spent 3 years in division 1 under his chairmanship what possitive spin can he put on that, he can not, so he blames us.

Agree0 Disagree0

100% agree mate. The only thing I would say about beckford is that when becchio wasnt alongside him, he never looked as threatening or dangerous. I'd still have him back though, he's the best striker we've had simce our premier league days and i'm sure he could do a job for us, I also don't blame him for wanting to play in the premier league, Evertin pretty much said they inly sold him as Leicester's offer was too good to refuse and they needed the cash

al1977 {Ed001's Note - Everton never said anything of the sort, nor is it true they needed that cash. They wanted rid of a player with a poor attitude, nothing more.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Great post and I couldn't agree more. MOT

Agree0 Disagree0

Negative fans and crap managers until now

Further to federici post also morrison back to millwall has been highlighted

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Let me know if morrison needs a lift

Agree0 Disagree0

You'll have to get there early to be first in the queue.

Agree0 Disagree0

Just how much of our 2.8mil will we see back off that one though?

Agree0 Disagree0

Morrison could still be a big player for us, if he has a good pre season. Look at Ross first year. I think because it was a Warnock signing a lot off people are jumping on the band wagon. If he gets anywhere near his best a lot off people will be eating humble pie. Brian mc will give him a full pre season and every chance

Agree0 Disagree0

Morrison needs a chance when FIT. Not a lift. Fact.

Agree0 Disagree0

Opinion, not fact.

Agree0 Disagree0

"Just how much of our 2.8mil will we see back off that one though?"

Er, when did we pay anything for him?

Warnock gave them Bechio for Morrison and a couple of hundred grand?

Agree0 Disagree0

Love all these football experts writing Morison off after 15 games, most of which were played under a manager rapidly running out of ideas. There were loads of fans writing off Becchio before last season started too and he scored 19 goals by January. I know. just to keep the misery mongers happy, let's hope Mozzer scores 19 goals for us by January then gets himself a transfer to a Premiership club. You can have a good grumble about that then eh?

Agree0 Disagree0

Fact its an opinion. And a good one!

Agree0 Disagree0

We valued becchio at 3 mil, they gave us Steve and 200k for him. values Morison at. that magic number!

Just seen in the sky transfer talk we should be lining up a move for Federici

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Must be true then, almost as reliable as the bun and the snail.

Agree0 Disagree0

Why is he free then?We will have to get shot of kenny first

The Byram exit talk seems to be cranking up. The position we are in as a club reminds me very much when we sold Ian Snodin in the mid 80s to Everton and pocketed 840k. From those funds, we brought in Adams, Aizlewood and Edwards and did kinda well. With a proper manager now in place, I believe in the same effect some 28 years later. Acquisitions of Upson Warbara Mills Rowe McGugan Forrester and Le Fondre could do wonders for our team. Byram should fetch 8 million but would it all be re-invested in the team?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Just can't understand the 8-10 mill predictions for Byram fee. In my mind there is now way we will get more than 2-3 mill at most! The lad has had one decent season in the Championship. Talented, yes - but not regarded good enough for Englands team in euro under 21. Wake up you folks!

Agree0 Disagree0

Walcott 16m 1 season in championship
Bale 12m 1 season in championship
Why not 8m for byram?
You pay inflated prices for British youngsters.
Jg

Agree0 Disagree0

Byram was injured and withdrawn from u20 squad.

Agree0 Disagree0

We will be lucky to get £3million. FACT

Agree0 Disagree0

Withdrawn from u20 squad, yes - but NOT picked for u21 squad - FACT! And Walcott and Bale were far better players - not a fact, but my personal opinion! We might get an inflated 3 mill, never a penny more!

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Jun 2013 05:02:10
Its not about him having 1 good season its because the top teams like city and arsenal can see that byram is gna improve a lot more he's onlt young. We would be stupid to sell him he would be worth a lot more in a few years

Agree0 Disagree0

There is no Byram exit talk at the moment so stop making up silly little stories.

Agree0 Disagree0

We got £8m for Delph who had never played higher than league 1. As for bale being a better player, yes he is now but he wasn't back when he got his move. Spurs didn't win a single game he played in for about 2 years!

Agree0 Disagree0

And the lack of Byram exit stories tells me he's not as highly rated in PL clubs as at ER. He would be foolish to leave - but we would be foolish not to sell if we could get the 3 mill or even more!

Kevin doyle told his local radio he is not moving to leeds. I would think the better option would be to go with antony stole as he has a better goal scoring record.
Post your thoughts?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Kevin doyle wouldn't add anything to our team simple as that

Agree0 Disagree0

Better scoring record? like 3-4 goals in about 50+ appearances in english football, yes that's the sort of scoring record we need to go for! Feeling very excited about this!

Marwan kouksh is to take over Oldham athletic. A source close to him says its them. I am raging I thought we might get lucky for once. in tv reports marwan talked about it being a huge club that just needed a little investment to take it to the next level. since when were Oldham athletic a huge club I know they were in the premier league years ago but they were nerver that good and he says the club just needs a little investment to take them to the next level. oldam need a lot of investment to get to the next level as they finished 17th last season in league 1 and were nearly in a relagation scrap twords the end of the season.
