How does loaning a player work, can they be recalled to parent club at any time? Seen again Ideguchi not even in the squad which is a worry. Maybe he is no good, has to be a reason why he is not getting a game. Think he initially started, then used as sub, now not even warming bench. Can lufc recall, sure he'd be happy to come here and be good to see if he is any good? Appears that the young lufc teams are competing well recently, maybe there is something in the 'one for the future ', as many have stated, be nice to see a few progress to 1st in our last matches, Clarke, kun T, rye and Dalby? I think a great opportunity to blood them, saiz injured and Pablo unsure if he going to resign ( wonder if he spoken to monk) ? We know that O'kane and Phillips are crap and need replacing ASAP, put in rye, veira with Forshaw. I do want AR to succeed, think he has good intentions but he has had a full season to himself and he didn't invest enough at the right time, we were in the playoffs and still automatic was not too far away but he only brought in Roberts who hasn't kicked a ball and Forshaw (very good) and de Bock? Maybe Ortas brief was just invest in young players for now and maybe it will come good? I feel if PH staying he needs a big say in future buys and as I have stated before, I think only need ? 4-5 players but they need to be quality. Think they have to keep Pontus, veira, saiz and Forshaw.

think the loan deal depends and variys from deal to deal. if fee is being paid we can not recall but if free or just covering wages we can recall but is it worth it if he can't play for them will he play for us? i think a lot has to be said for our one for the future, i work at orient and know they really rate dalby, grot seems good as does kun what ever his name is and a couple others, if our keeper can make place his own i think we only need a lb is deblock don't come good, a cb and cm and think we will be good if we keep our current players, not sure about hernadez but he annoys me he can be great but can also be pointless. o kane and phillps need to never play for us again same with beradi if we are to go up

I can only think it is a loan agreement with no recall, however the logic is we need to look at him competitively and if that is not going to happen in Spain then let's ask CL if they will release. Obviously he is doing them no good so why not bring him home. This is one for Lewis and Morse to sort out as I am sure nobody here can figure out what's going on. I can only think that Ideguchis always wanted to learn Spanish? Can anyone think of a better reason?

Utter tosh bw. No berahdi and we don't need strikers? Wat you on?

At the risk of sounding like a cracked record Bermo, the answer to all our problems may already be on our payroll. It just takes courage from Hecky to give them a run out in the remaining games. Maybe Pontus will help by getting a yellow in the next game and create an opening for a young gun.

if we kept lossaga who i quite like think with right support he could be very good in this league. and Beradi i think has shown his limits in alings absence. big heart but not good enough if we are to get promoted. in an ideal world phillips, beradi and o'kane never wear a leeds shirt again, they ain't good enough

Lassoga? Really? can't run. can't jump. can't dribble. can't hold the ball up. can't head. Scores every now and then. Berahdi dosent have to be as good as ayling. he's got heart. And will play anywhere. He has to play.

Bermo may be right Aussie. For next year we have Ekuban - needs a goal or two, Grot - needs another goal, Roberts - needs to kick a ball and emerging talent ie Dalby - looking ok in the U23s. As for Berardi I would like to keep. There is a lot to be said for a full bloodied defender. It gave Stuart Pearce a career. When Ayling is fit we then have him and Coyle and Berardi all going for RB. That's not to say I would turn down a 30 goal a season striker begging to join but it does say that maybe we have no need to panic.

Lasogga knows where the net is Yeh he has his faults but so do most footballers in this league with the right service and a better standard of players around him he'll score Phillips and O'kane need to be made available for transfer and sold.

We haven't got a striker. Full stop. Those at leeds are pretending. Give roberts a go. Sack the rest.

i can only judge lossaoga on what i have seen 1 goal in 2 games ain bad, seen him score some great goals, demand ball drag leeds into games and create and excite. I don't mind him. As for bardi as you all know i have never rated him, like most leeds fans when they voted talyor not him player of the year, then he was a hero for playing out of position, he was useless at left back but a hero from some reason, then aling gets injured and bardi playing in his position shows what he is. very average and not good enough, any considence that aling gets injured and our restults get worse? is it odd that bardi plays averagely and we don't do great? I don't get the beradi love in and mus play? yes he is hard tackling but also rubbish going forward, slow, often caught out of position and just not really good enough for a team that wants to finish above 12th as he is mid table champ class and never any better. i don't get how some are slated yet some heroed seems very odd to me

I know where your coming from regarding Berardi BW he's all heart and a a trier but Ayling is a far better right back who we've missed badly plus we need height in the team as well.

Ok so as we near the end of a season that in the early months promised so much and finally let's be honest delivered nothing, time to air my thoughts on who for me we keep who I am not sure about yet and who we let go and why.

Weidwald liability lose Lonergan see above BPF one for the future KEEP

AYLING we have missed him in last few weeks, KEEP.

Pennington return to Everton. lose Liam Cooper dodgy one but would keep as back up, undecided.

Anita: never a defender in a million years, lose.

JANSON simple, KEEP

Conor Shuaghnessy in all honesty not seen enough of him to form an opinion so one more season? undecided.

Laurens De Bock; only signed in January but once Ayling is fit back up only undecided BERADI; wears his heart on his sleeve can go walkabout, KEEP.

FORSHAW again Jan signing looks quality at times, KEEP.

Alioski; too lightweight (will be a common theme here), lose.

Eunan O Kane loses the ball a lot undecided DALLAS like Beradi, KEEP.

HERNANDEZ new 2 year deal please, KEEP.

Sacko: Lightweight, lose.

Samu Saiz: Game changer but found out by clubs and pretty lightweight, undecided.

Phillips: Lightweight can't pass lose Ronaldo Viera one to develop if he can refind his form, undecided.

GOMES ? still in u23s don't know yet, KEEP.

Roofe lightweight, lose.

Lasogga eye for goal too slow return to club lose JR GROT not sure one to develop after all he is only 20, KEEP.

Cibicki; Lightweight lose ROBERTS we ain't seen him yet, KEEP.

Caleb Ekuban: Again in bits looks a prospect needs to find the goal, undecided.

So from a squad of 26 keep 10, undecided on 7 and yes that does include Saiz and 9 for me can be let go. I am sure I will get stick about Saiz and yes he does look class at times but sadly the championship teams have found him out and are doubling up on him and he hasn't yet shown the footballing brain of Hernandez and is becoming something of a headless chicken constantly trying to do the impossible rather than keeping it simple hence undecided one more season to prove he is adapting to the English game and can stop trying to prove to us he is the next Lionel Messi. that's my assessment after seeing all the home games this season so far and on the telly box when on away from home.

I more or less agree Wilso. Well except I would probably lose about a dozen more. In fact cone to think of it. My keep list could be written on the back of a postage stamp. Doesn't necessarily include Pontus unless he dramatically bucks his ideas up

Starting to think he was signed to sell merchandise in Japan. Which is fine, but I'd like to see him in a Leeds shirt. No way should Phillips or O'Kane be in the team for the first game of next season.

Well the first team playing rubbish and suddenly we have a U23 squad full of superstars lol. No wonder Radz is a media mogul. Yes they are playing well at last but few of them are ready for a step up. Dalby is one of the few, big, strong and enjoys his football, and knows where the net is. Macucha is another for me hard working, consistent, gets goals and makes assists, think he will improve a lot if moved up to first team squad. Clarke very talented with good feet, is he ready yet, was Sterling ready when he made his debut, one for the manager, Odour has shown ability but needs to do it every game. Rey was a god last week but he has had two good games when we started winning streak, as a cb he was pretty crap, so he still has to prove himself for me. Sarkic is good enough for a try out in first team but rest are decent but not ready yet. Some saying give Kun T a try in first team, i have not seen him play yet. I know he went to Dubai with some of the lads but good knows why he is not a regular in U23 if he is such a talent. Edmonson in U19 is a good prospect. So i would guess probably three at best are ready to step up for next season. Means we still need CB, GK, DM. STR. We have Coyle returning and Yosuke who i hope will prove to be that Dm we are missing, and Klitch who has been playing like a star while on loan. Need a hell of a lot of players to move on, some like Wilks probably will but i think we will be stuck with some for a while.

It will only take 2 or 3 more to step up to make a difference Bige. Who they will be at the moment I have no idea but certainly a good look at a few in some of the remaining games is a must. Hopefully such names as Grot, Roberts, Ideguchi, Coyle, Denton will save Radz a few million if the perform so if I was him I would be putting (gentle) pressure on Hecky to give them a run out. Certainly with the question marks over Pontus it is well worth finding out if we have not one but two quality CBs in our ranks.

Agree1 Disagree0

24 Mar 2018 12:06:47
Good post Bige and in line with what I have been saying. We need to strengthen the spine with players who can get us promoted . We need to bring in that level of quality. We also need to add a couple of dangerous wingers . Six players in total . If we have to rely on a large number of players coming through from U23's I just don't see them being strong enough over a whole season to carry the team. See them more as having a squad role

Agree1 Disagree1

24 Mar 2018 12:53:58
Can i say we only need one to improve us. Two is a bonus
Three we start to make teams think
Four is wat we need. With proper 3-4 $5 mill players. Them we are up Pigeon steps chaps.

I remember Alan Ball saying it doesn't matter whether your 16 or 36 if your good enough you should be playing.

Beckham, Rooney etc all played first team young. Loads of examples. Some kid scored for Liverpool t'other week. As well as skill, the kids would bring bags of enthusiasm and unbridled confidence with them. Should bang a few in first team for remainder of season. Let a few of the seniors know how vulnerable their positions are. Two birds, one stone.

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Mar 2018 18:42:42
Guys, if we all say ‘you’ll never win anything with kids’ it may just happen twice and next season we’re champions. 🤞

24 Mar 2018 20:50:55
Always said young ones should be given a chance. Its how you use them that matters. No point bringing a promising midfielder in and playing him at CB because he is tall. No good relying on them for 48 matches, and burn them out. We need them coming through to compliment the first team.

Which means we should have a full first team for the way we play, not playing people out of position. The U23s should reflect the first team and how it plays so players can slot into position easily not bring an attacker in to play on the wing. So we need to see what we buy for the first team in the summer. Fair play to Radz he has invested in development squad but think he needs to turn his attention to first team now.
