Statement from Frank Lampard on his dismissal.

Friends and family are everything at a time like this said the former Chelsea midfielder.

When I got home John Terry was already there comforting Christine on the couch. Not sure how he heard the news so quickly, but they were both red faced and breathless with emotion.

Good news about new investment, was hoping PSG would be the ones but that seems dead. Would've been good to exchange players but sure the 50 mil be used wisely with view to get us into Europe.
Nobody coming this window, hope it doesn't bite us, think a loan player would've been the way, an attacking player.
Need to get Lorente playing and hopefully form a great partnership with coops. If can get them together and ailing and Dallas back in normal positions, be huge.
Sure new investment going partly on infrastructure and some on squad, need to get bielsa signed on with promise of investment to get us top half/ top 6?
How much is retaining premiership status worth?
IMO, we require at least 5 in the summer to get us to next level and release a few
Gk ( darlow or dubravko)

Very wealthy owners are the 49 ers Melbourne and know how to run a franchise.

Agree2 Disagree0

25 Jan 2021 23:04:53
You’re right there Martyn

Since the 49ers Levi's Stadium opened in 2014, the 49ers have surged to a top-five NFL team, based on value. Although the Niners have been among the worst teams on the field over the past five years, the franchise is worth $3.5 billion. The 49ers are expected to make $492 million in revenue this year, a $22 million increase from 2018.

Sounds a very shrewd investment not only on their financial clout but more importantly their marketing and recruitment infrastructure .

It’s still nowhere near the likes of Citeh at £20 billion but certainly a long way from the GFH Days.

The SF 49ers owners are very successful, considerable commercial nous; they will be a great for Leeds United.

Niners haven't been that bad on the field over the last couple of years - they got to the superbowl last year.

On the Vile Banter today they incorrectly state that Leeds supporters dislike Fat Frankie because his teams ' ALWAYS beat Leeds' 🤪

Don't let facts get in the way of your post Wacky Baccy, but Bielsa's Leeds holds a 3 2 winning record over Frankie Lampard's teams

Vile Dave also states that Leeds fans' hate everyone' ;

incorrect again Vile Dave, but it's true to state that many Leeds United supporters are understandably definitely not keen on your Vile club to put it politely.

I don’t like Aston Villa fans posting on a Leeds pages for Leeds fans, nor I like any other fans to be honest however I don’t really understand all the fuss and anger towards each other. Right here and in the now Aston Villa are above and therefore doing better. Them 2 points we lost and the one point they gained did nothing to the league. If anything it enhanced our reputation / bielsas reputation for fair play. We need to move on from that. I honestly don’t personally see Aston Villa as a long term threat as I believe you guys are having the best season you will have for years. Unless something drastic happens in the transfer market grealish will leave and you guys (any team not in the top 4 ) will replace a player like that.

Not personal towards Aston Villa but I also think Dean Smith is a numpty and he will get found out and end up back in the championship.

{Ed001's Note - who on earth told you it was 'for Leeds fans'? None of these sites are intended to be exclusive like that.}

25 Jan 2021 23:29:55
Loveawaydays I agree with most of what u said there, I don’t understand the fuss either, I’m sure Ed can vouch for me when I say I quiet often post on wolves page, local rivals an all but great banter is had lots of slagging to and fro but all quiet friendly and laughs had for both sides, remains to be seen where jacks future lies, much will depend on where we finish.

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Jan 2021 07:11:10
Grealish is very loyal to Villa similar to Kalvin Phillips of Leeds. It’s very rare for players of such quality to stay with their home city club outside the Liverpool, Man. Utd etc. for their whole career.
I do believe they will both be sold if either club doesn’t have serious and tenable ambitions to break into the top six. I’m probably wrong but I can only think of one player who played for England and stayed with his home town club and that was not in a elite club, that was Steve Bull.
Im sure someone is going to tell me who else there was.

{Ed001's Note - Le Tissier.}

Will the 50 be trousered or partially used to buy a player or 3? No disputing we need a bit of definite quality as the 1 for the future experiment isn't really producing lads making a definite claim for a starting place, and now given the environment we now find ourselves in time is a commodity not given to freely sadly.

Something I was reading said Marathe had suggested the money was going to be used, at least partially, for improvements to the stadium, infrastructure and improving analytics in relation to recruitment analysis and sports science, to take us up to top standards in those areas.
How much of that chunk will that be? Not sure but would set us up well in the long run. Also we know Bielsa likes his stats and data, will keep him happy.

So he will not be doing that again, will he now 😁 top of the ladder I mean.

like static in the air, Manager, Players, Coaching most have the club running through their veins, its wonderful.

As expected yet another clueless post from Vile Dave,

As given the history that's gone before between Fat Frank and Leeds there is more chance of VD getting a Bielsa tattoo one on both cheeks 😃 than Frankie Boy being Leeds coach

And agreed Ox can see Fat Frank one day ' coaching ' (and therefore relegating) ; the Vile
# perfect scenario😃👍.

25 Jan 2021 20:45:07
Yes Vile Dave the brilliant The Cure's actual song title is ' Boys Don't Cry' but amended to ' Big Girls Don't Cry' it is even more apt for Fat Frankie Lampard 😃

Anyway, look forward to your Bielsa tattoos. 😊👍.

Agree1 Disagree0

25 Jan 2021 13:44:12
£50m for 22% values the club at about £227 million maybe with a little discount because it is only buys part of the club.
To purchase the whole 100% would usually cost more because you get outright ownership about £250m plus.

How much more valued would be added as a regular top six side? Playing regular in Europe, another £50m. Plus with bigger named players creating greater income from marketing.

The purchase of Leeds was a very shrewd investment at around £45m and could end up being worth £300m. Kenny Dagleish was the one who suggested this to Rads.
Think he might be due a drink.

If we had £40-50 mill to spend would you go for a Rodrigo de Paul at £40 mill and hope he’s the next Bruno Fernandez good, or buy three players circa £15mill and hope all three are Rafhina good?

They say you get what you pay for but no guarantee a big player will settle and then it’s all your eggs in one basket?

Think i’d (just) go the top player option.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

{Ed0666's Note - Rodrigo De Paul looks like a tasty player. I’d go all in for him instead of 3 lesser priced players.

25 Jan 2021 03:14:32
If it was the summer and we had another £100m to spend then De Paul is quality (if a tad over priced at £40m for me) . Right now though we have a thin squad with holes, £40-50m gets us Pulgar, a really good LWB, a back up keeper and either a veteran striker or project youngster to back up Bamford.

Agree1 Disagree0

25 Jan 2021 09:40:28
De Paul is a class player and i'm sure would be a massive asset to Lufc. If he does come to us it will be in the summer or never. The Pozzo family are notoriously difficult to negotiate a deal with, they will always want more than the price the player is worth. Fingers crossed for that one in the summer.
