Neil Warnock needs to release players so he can get his own type of players in. So the following will leave even if NW has not seen many of them play with injurers etc.
O'brien, Valyrnen, Forssell, Bruce, Connelly, Paynter, Brown (to old now), Nunez (to lightweight) and a few more. 8 at least to go and this will save a massive wage bill. Then NW can bring in 4 or 5 more expensive palyera in terms of wages but then quality is better than quantity.
Warnock likes Brown and he's not actually that old. He's also playing really well at the moment. I think he may rate Bruce too. Agree in principle though.
I think there are better defensive midfield players out there though than Micky Brown, although granted he is playing well now. My gut says the player that Warnock said agreed to join in the summer through principle already is Bothroyd whose good at this level.
Obviously you dont start getting rid of your first team before your reserves so more than likely we will still have brown on the bench next season . we have to atleast get rid of 15 players from the main squad . we will probably see a few more youngsters around the ground next season if we are still in this league so even with 15 leaving we would have 20+ players still at the club . i would expect a few of the younger players to go out on loan but not all and bring in a few talented players but not too many maybe 3 or 4 and we will use a 22 -25 team squad for the season
We do have a lot of dead wood, but who wants them? And can they afford them? We would only be able to offload them to lower division teams and if they're under contract and don't want to go, then we're stuck with em.
