Reading a few posts saying we lack a goal threat. Personally I think we lack goal providers. Ant, Sharp and even Morison can score if given proper service. Its funny, but we have always had great wide players until now. Snod and Gradel. Kewell and Bowyer. Strachan and Speed. And Lorimer and Gray of course. The squad needs to be sorted. Time to put up or get on your bike Massimo.

the amount of games I saw when there was great build up from mf with NO-ONE on the end of it. I can often recall how on occasions how easy it was for opposition defenders,
essential component of any attackers play is to be in the right place at the right time.
antinucci/morison/sharp do not have enough about them in this regard. dukkara never got a proper chance,. as for adryan, mystified why he didn't get a proper run out.

central mf needs less work, we need proper wingers, preferably with pace ( lacking in the squad at the moment) 20 goal striker, and another cb. also new keeper, sylvestri a bit of a liability at times.

Agree with proc man. Morison Doukara even Antenucci will never be prolific in this league. For a promotion chasing side Antenucci is a squad player. The others should not be Leeds players. Selling Smith was a massive error. We need strikers calibre of Rhodes to gain promotion. Obviously we ain't going to drop 8 or 9 mill on a player but scouring serie b not the answer. Hard enough to adapt to English game as it is. I'd like us to go in for some of Beckford Wood Lambert Gradel and that Walsall player name escapes me.

That said corkie your post illustrates no wingers. Been this way for too long. This is why I thought brian mcd was a nut for refusing to sign Burke. Fatal error. I believe it cost him his job as results would have been better. Walsall player is Bradshaw of course.

agree about wingers, don't want beckford really, like the idea of woods and lambert would be amazing but think very unlikely. Must say thought I strongly dissagree about annutic. I think he is class. He scored in a team that was not creating anything. Off side had him stumped but he did streacth the game, gave defenders something to think about. Movement good, bit of pace, great feet and clinical finisher. I would have him in any championship side, I think he is that good. Also agree letting smith go was so silly but I think he was joint deal with RM and we didn't really sell RM for 12 mill more like both for 12.5 as joint deal, just MC being smart

Antenucci could be one of the top strikers in the league if he had decent service. He'll get 15+ if played properly next season.

Would it be too much to hope that MC watched the play off finals next to a life long Leeds fan who would point out that Grayson used to be our manager, Clayton, Howson, Johnson used to be in our midfield and Beckford used to score goals for us.
They were got rid of by a Chairman / owner more interested in off the field matters rather than the team.
Hopefully the recent appointments that include Rosler and Pearson point to the fact that MC may have learned something over the past year, I like you all on here hope so.
We are a long way off Norwich just look at their bench Grabban, Dorrans and Hooper would walk into our current first 11, so there is plenty to do over the summer.
Bring in some quality, keep faith in the youth and give Rosler a real chance.

Great post 1LU. The top 8 teams this season were far better than the rest of the league. We need quite a few players to challenge. Would have liked to kept Austin as a squad player. Hope we keep Sol and Beradi.

Agree totally with all of above. Love to keep Sol and I think Beradi could become a Leeds legend of sorts after a poor start.

Bloody leeds b team get promoted!burnley and qpr relegated! I know the money is in the premiership, but purely from an entertainment and twist and turn point of view I'm glad we're in the championship!

not a big beckford fan but he was class yesterday and we could do worse, as for the 'stupid'bring larry back. you better keep away for longer than a week as I will beat the larry drum long and hard. He is class manager and best we have had since wilko. What he did at leeds was great and oproven since he is very good manager. that siad I will give uwe full support until he annoys me, which I hope he will not

Yes speedy and bw I agree but have to say beckford isn't the player he was now and not sure whether he could play our level now as for larry he's got unfinished business with us its in his blood!! Hopefully one day larry!?

Here we go again, which ex players are we going to sign. He was good though his shot/goal ratio was not so great, loads of goals in division 2. You have to wonder why Bolton don't want him?
My memories of Beckford are all good, helped us get promotion, goal at Old Trafford think it would be best to leave it there!

beckford is not leeds, he left for nothing and year we went up leeds stayed in dartford hilton. All the players come on bus, he come in his own merc not with other players. that is not leeds that is for himself and saw that with my own eyes

Gradel Bradley Johnson and snodgrass if your going for old players back but I know none of the three would happen.
