see ched evans conviction has been over turned. so he was innocent and wrongly judged and convicted. Any one think he will get back into football, I hope he does, not sure he would be right for leeds but would git our tranfer budget and wage structure.

I think he's having a re-trial isn't he? Or was that overturned?

I think there's going to be a re-trial BW.

Re-trial with the fresh evidence included this time.

Rumours have persisted for a long time that he was perhaps wrongly convicted. If this is the case it's shocking, a man's life and career could have and probably still will be ruined . Even if conviction is overturned, there will always be a little mud that sticks .

Have any of you looked into the story of this case. It is a bit strange.

sorry thought it was over turned and re trial already happened. Sadly some parts of this case seem pretty standard I had to give evidence at a trail that was a complete farce, he got innocent in under 30 minutes but only as the 'victim' took every thing too far and some of her lies where easy to disprove (yet it still went to trial) if she was 25% smarter it might of been a very difficult case to dis-prove and the papers, CPS and police love to run with these with little to no evdicence (sorry for rant but very passionate about this due to what happened to person I knew even though he was given innocent at trail he still had huge aldeal and she walked away scot free) .

Justice for the 96. At last.

Hardly. Sadly they are all still dead. A small measure of justice might come their way should that Superintendent be convicted of manslaughter which I can tell you now he probably won't be.

sadly I think a lot of people have a lot to answer for, nothing can bring back the dead but hopefully some justice and comfort can be found for the friends and families of the victims.

Mixed emotions today I'm sure for all the families.
I know a couple who had two sons, one they lost in the Valley Parade fire and the other at Hillsborough.
RIP to all, hope everyone from Government to tabloids to police etc can at least learn from their errors as this sort of thing shouldn't have happened and should never happen again.

Oh my god Lucas, that's awful. I remember both as clear as day. Absolute tragedies, which I sincerely hope will never be repeated. Puts everything else into perspective. RIP to those lost and families who have suffered the nightmares.

They were both horrible tragedies. They certainly gave me nightmares.
What's noteworthy and that's the only apt word I can think of is in the case of Valley Parade it actually helped Leeds United. It occurred on the same day as Leeds fans utterly ransacked St Andrews. We had already been warned concerning our fans and were advised one more incident would cause us to be kicked out of the FL. The game hardly got investigated as completely overshadowed by the horror at Bradford.

Quite true George I was at the game, left just after half time due to the terrible antics of so called Leeds fans. I was given a punch in the head, by a wonderful west midlands police officer, just because he could. A young Leeds fan also lost his life when a wall collapsed.

Thanks for posting this AGM as many on here think this theory of mine crazy. West Midlands police have infamously acquired a reputation of being complete bar stewards. Made worse by the recent inquest.

It may have taken 27 years but at last justice has been done. Congratulations to all those who have pursued this cause amongst such hostilities and lies from people at the top of society. Let's hope true justice can be done and all those who perpetuated such lies over a generation can be brought to justice and pay for their heinous crimes they committed.

. and even now BBC news reckons over 100 police and emergency services people have refused to speak to the ongoing enquiry! Shame on them!

What will happen now though is all the guilty parties (who know exactly who they are) will drag out any future prosecution until they pass away themselves having enjoyed a full pensionable retirement!

This is crap! What a world we live in!

Rant time.

Apart from our own very well run Leeds Rumours site, I read a few of the other sites that appear on News Now. Some are good such as 'To Ell and Back' and some of them really make my blood boil.

A recent story has popped up about police using pepper spray at Hull City on our fans. I apologise Eds in advance for plugging another site but think it's worth a read.

The story jokes about the similarities of watching Leeds United with the effects of pepper spray and continues to suggest that Leeds fans 'surged' towards the Hull fans.

Have a look at the video that's included and tell me if I am overexagerating with the email I've sent to the site below -

When writing articles about Leeds United, would it not be better to try and remain professional and not let your own personal feelings known, or are you all just Daily Mail reporter wannabes?

For starters you have a cheap dig at Leeds by saying about stinging eyes not being the result of watching Leeds but the results of pepper spray. It's nice to know you find this so amusing.

You also make light of the Hull fans trying to get through the dividing door and dwell on the surge of Leeds fans (who were just clearly just singing) . I didn't see any surge on the clip you showed. What I did see was supporters stood still singing, whilst the door behind separating the two sets of fans was being nearly knocked off its' hinges by the Hull fans on the other side.

If this was the other way round I am sure you would have sensationalised your story with headlines such as "Savage Leeds fans try and attack poor defenceless families out for the day watching Hull City". You'd probably get more clicks to your site. God knows you must need them if you've resorted to this kind of one sided trashy journalism.

Pathetic and biased reporting. Why don't you try and be original and simply report the facts, rather than jump on the 'We all hate Leeds' bandwagon?

Yours

MM

(Sorry again for mentioning other sites Ed - they're all not a patch on this on - DTP, UTW)

good point and I agree but sadly it is far easier and more popular to be negitive about leeds than positive. all articales are emotive and will have parts of that and sadly the more sensational the story the more exciting the read (so they think) . it is this very reason why I think leeds fans have to stay united and positive, no one else finds anything good to say about the club so might as well say it ourselves.

bit like my wife, no one else fancies it so I just close my eyes think of better times and try and remain positive.

We should be easy on them, after all, they still have to live in Hull. Maybe they were trying to get into the Leeds end to stow away on the away buses to get past the passport control on Clive Anderson Way and get passage into Yorkshire (and before you say it, I will never recognise Hull as being in Yorkshire! )

i thought Grimsby was a fictional land from either game of thrones or the hobbit, never realised it was a real plaice (see what I did there with plaice. oh I do make me laugh)
