Is there any chance of Newcastle being deducted points or will they still get the prize of premiership football and then be deducted points. Can Leeds finish 7th and still get promoted

Wex. Give Shaun a quick call and see what he says. If there was a points deduction it would be however many points would keep them in 6th and leave us in 7th.

Actually I take it all back Wex. You might be right after all. I've just seen a pig flying past my house.

Looks a bit strange, but we don't really know the full story . However if what seems to be coming to light is true then a points deduction is a must ! And for the director who has been arrested then something sounds amiss.

When we think back that M C hounded for tax relating to a private yacht and car and not even in this country is does make me wonder how quickly the FL will investigate this, or will they do a Bournemouth (yeah you broke the rules but here's a fine)

We will see where this goes Wex, when you think back to the grief M C was given regarding his court cases for alleged tax avoidance this is going to be interesting . That aside Hmrc will not take any prisoners, they will not turn a blind eye so if more comes to light I fail to see how the Fl can sit by and do nothing .

Yes, if proved guilty, I believe they will be punished but with time and appeals, Newcastle will be longtime in the Prem so I think the actual effect will be to condemn them back to the Championship in 2018

Am I missing something? Joey Barton doesn't play for us does he? I assume when the FA realise he doesn't play for Leeds his ban will be greatly reduced or rescinded altogether! 😁

All said and done he has done wrong, but the punishment does seem harsh. He also has a valid point regarding the number of betting advertising who have somewhat overtaking football as late.

Although obviously hoping for playoffs can anyone shed light on what happens to season tickets if we don't. The club says they are freezing prices and you have to renew before the last game of the season to keep that price. Last year MC said we would get a discount if we didn't make playoffs which won't be decided (possibly) until the last game.

Do we have to pay as normal then they give us money back separately? By buying tickets as the club recommends are we waiving our right to the money back? Very confused. Hope its not relevant but not seen anything mentioned either way.

It was a money-back deal, not a discount as far as I can remember.

It was money back but i think it was only triggered if a certain number of season tickets were sold (was it 15000?) by a particular date (think it was the end of July) and i don't think that they were so regardless of what happens there won't be any refunds.

Money back if we fail a top 6 spot a bigger percentage back if we sold 15,000 S/T, so I believe we are still on for a refund paid into bank.

Taking rubbish Alf. Club are to send out applications for refunds if the club do not make top 6. Refund applies to those who took advantage of the offer and get 25% back minus VAT. The rub is that there will be a deadline to make your application

It is 25% refund if under 15000 sold and 50% if over 15000. The alleged figure was 14500 in total so 25% due.
