Aidan white still hasnt signed a new contract yet again the club have let his deal run down why do i get the feeling he is doing a howson saying he will sign and then he leaves end of the season using leeds as a stepping stone its simple if he doesnt wanna stay then why doesnt he or are so called chairman come out and tell us fans what is happening we cant even keep hold of our players that have come up through the academy surely he cant be on big wages

Believable7 Unbelievable1

Same old problem bigger wages and the premier league ,Leeds won't be there any time soon not with out spending millions and Bates won't do that !

Agree7 Disagree0

He was offered 4k a week - he wants more. Personally I don't think he's worth any more but someone will probably offer him more.

Agree8 Disagree1

4k pw . pants wage again league 1 or even 2 wage .bates trying it on every player worth keeping should be on 8k pw or more these days in the championship . why should he accept 4k pw when his career could be over in a flash and worse players are on double at smaller clubs .

Agree4 Disagree4

Read jimmy armfields autobiography. Contract negotiations with paul madley. Quote from madley- ill sign the contract you fill the details. I just want to play for leeds. Pity all players dont feel this way about this club. Takes me three months to earn 4k.

Agree7 Disagree0

Laughable the anti bates camp spreading more liea ans conjecture, just a joke. All you want to do is wind people up with your lies. I have to question if you are leeds fans really, what do you think you will achieve?

Agree5 Disagree4

White contract will get sorted in summer one way or another.stop ya whinning and watch the footie

Agree3 Disagree1

Paul Madley was playing in a much different era. If we were still the force we were then, maybe certain players would feel the same.

Agree1 Disagree0

So white has ambitions to play in the premier league. Just like beckfordhe will find you need talent to play there. L

Just read the comments about honeymoon not lasting long.I just cannot understand some people. This was Warnocks FIRST game in charge of a poor squad.Warnock will want to bring in 2-3 players as he has stated and get the team organised and playing his way this will take time.We all want the play offs this season and if he somehow manages that then great. The main thing is to start building a confident and organised squad of players who can start moving forward and get us back to the premiership.I have nothing against Grayson he loved the club but things were not right he took the club as far as he could.Mccallister was sacked due to the defensive problems even back then.Grayson had three years to get it right. It got worse. We have now got the BEST manager that was available with a great record at this level.Lets just let him do his magic on this great club and before long we will be back where we belong.

does that poster think after 1 game we would be playing like barca lots of things have improved allready i just cant believe some people if we dont make it this year we will be a totally different team next year and we wont be aiming for play off spots warnock will say we are going to try and win it he will make the players belive they can but thats what he is trying to do now but it wont happen overnight so get real you prat the revolution has begun we will beat southampton next week as well

Believable3 Unbelievable1

Just hope he can can keep shoddy once end of the season comes saved us soooo many times has that lad and certainly a credit to the team we don't want to lose

Agree6 Disagree0

Totally agree with this.
Its NW 1st official game in charge, exact same team/squad weve had all year which have undoubtably been playing very poor and we're expected to suddenly be world beaters. WTF is it with some people. This will take time, it wont happen over night.

Agree9 Disagree0

Snoddy wont sign a new contract unless we are in or looking likely to be in prem league by January. it will be a big risk to keep snoddy past the summer as we will lose a lot of money in January as clubs will start offering 2 - 3 mil for him.it may still be a risk worth taking but money will need to be spent to make sure we look like getting promoted by jan

Agree1 Disagree2

You talk as if you know Snodgrass, lol. He is like Batty, only wants to play football and is not interested in cash. If he was interested in cash he would have signed for Barcelona or Celtic when they approached him rather than staying with Livingston. Stop trying to push the lad out of the door!

Agree2 Disagree1

You should read Batty's autobiography, he played for cash. Passages in there stating about contracts, about talking to other clubs behind leeds back and he managed three times to leaver a cklub for more money just when things statred to go wrong at the club (leeds-blackburn, Blackburn-newcastle, Newcastle-leeds). Batty was a great player and committed wherever he went, but make no mistake he made a good amount of money from his career, and was as good as anyone for sorting out the best for himself. I'm not slagging himoff in the slightest, just no point romantiscising him as some kind of pauper just out to play football and that is it.

Well, as some of predicted, the honeymoon didn't last long.

We're now further away from the playoffs and we've played a game or two more than almost all the teams above.

NOTHING has been improved by Grayson's sacking. I'm not one of those who was anti-Warnock - probably the best man for the job after Grayson went - but all those singing Bates's praise for this have got it wrong.

No imagination from the bench - no subs - no real plan - the team looked clueless and the manager did too. Paynter on the bench FFS?

And well done Larry - a professional job against a team lower down the league - would have been nice to have seen that at Fratton Park...

Believable4 Unbelievable14

What did you expect after 1 game. Leeds playing like Barcelona and winning 7-0. Give Warnocks and chance. If you don't like it why don't you follow your best friend Grayson down the road to Huddersfield. You won't be missed.

Agree11 Disagree2

The guy has been here one week and your already moaning the word supporter is supposed to mean something obviously your not one

Agree7 Disagree2

What a post one game in at least we kept a clean sheet with all that garbage grayson had assembled for us at the back, its going to take time warnock aint a miracle worker.MOT

Agree8 Disagree2

Original poster. I'm not moaning - I just think people are being naive. I think Warnock is a decent bloke - a good, experienced manager, and if he gets funds he'll get us up. However - I also thought Grayson would have got us up with the right backing. Our player budget, whoever the manager, is a shockingly small percentage of revenue. Other teams are overspending at 70%+ but 35% is much too low - and A LOT of money in our accounts is not properly accounted for. Warnock's arrival will not change that.

What I'm saying is that the real problem, BATES, is still there. Yet again we've been promised signings which haven't happened (people were blaming Grayson for that - clearly it goes higher).

On the negative side, not making ANY tactical subs when you're not winning seems pretty odd to me. We were absolutely clueless yesterday and probably should have lost on the balance of play - we should have had a goal but they should have had a pen - so these things even out.

As for following Larry - I've been going to Elland Road for 42 years - that will never change - doesn't mean I have to be happy about the way the club is being run.

Agree3 Disagree6

If Portsmouth had not been docked ten points they would have been mid table. Don't forget they have got some very good players. Apparently we played really well second half. Warnock's tactics will need a bit of time to gel. Like the posts above, stop moning or FO to Hudds.

Agree4 Disagree0

Got to be a wind up, this. 2 games, a win and a hard earned draw not good enough?

Agree4 Disagree0

If you look at the championship table we have not beaten any of the teams above us...drawn only four times against them... that is the reason grayson had to go!

Agree2 Disagree1

Not exactly a wind up - a little bit of devil's advocate maybe - but I think Warnock's going to find it harder than maybe he thought and I can see a few fans on here starting to get frustrated before long.

I'm also not convinced that he's in it for the long haul and can't imaging his and Bates's relationship being quite at rosy in the summer transfer window.

Agree3 Disagree0

Its time to concentrate on getting the team ready for next season now . make sure our team is running high on confidence by next season start to advertise our players which are to be sold ie paynter . we will see these players playing over next few months as if there just sitting there in reserves we wont be selling the pants players anytime soon

Agree0 Disagree1

Hull 4-1.

Agree0 Disagree0

Thanks for pointing out my error about the hull game. Makes all the difference. One win against the nine teams above us. Six points from them. Let's bring grayson back then.

Agree0 Disagree0

Those fans without an ounce of patience are the ones who have got it wrong. I'm sick to death of the negativity. 5 years ago we were lower than we've ever been. Those who go on about us having short memories when we praise bates forget that our last 2 seasons in the Premiership were embarassing; that our last season in the Championship was too. We're a club on the mend, and anyone who knows anything about wounds knows that you can bandage it up all you want, but until you actually get it seen to, you wont get better. We're letting the wounds heal by not spending over the odds, and living within our means. I really fail to understand what is wrong with that.

Grayson went because he wasn't getting the job done, and now, 1 game in, people are already saying I told you so, and the impatience is creeping in again. If you want to moan about a club, go moan about them over the pennines, or one of our rivals in this league, because moaning about our club from our fans is only having a negative impact on everything to do with Leeds United.
