I've said it now for years but watching England is like watching Leeds
You expect so much but every time they let you down!

I thought it was Leeds by the amount of long balls we was hitting

I'm sick of everyone going on about how England are going to win the World Cup looking at yesterday's performance they will be lucky to qualify. garath south gate sticking up for them imagine him managing leeds at least Roy keane tells it out straight.
Agree7
Disagree0
Southgate is on the FA payroll, he was always going to say that stuff.
dixon hasn't got a clue about football, seriously this guy won trophy's it beggars belief.
And HIM well what can I say he says what he sees, I would hate to hear the language when he faces his reflection every morning "what a cooking funt" or something like that sorry ed if that's to close to the knuckle
Agree0
Disagree0
Roy keanes irish so loves it when england loses, he admitted tht in his playin carear, so he ismt going to defend them like english man southgate
Agree3
Disagree2
Ya the difference between the English and Irish is the English always cover up for the team even in games like the other night when they needed to win and didn't. roy keane tells in out straight and its nothing got to do with him not liking England he gets paid for his views and opinion. all the same I did enjoy him give out about England MOT Republic of Ireland and leeds.

JUST A THOUGHT. If Chairmen got together and struck a pay scheme to pay players in the form of a loyalty bonus.
In these days of bonus and reward for productivity etc. why not pay a player a set amount each week and a contract to pay him a pre-negotiated bonus on the completion of his contract e. g. £10k a week and on fulfilment of his contract £1m bonus as agreed.
If in the mean time a player asks for a move he loses the right to his final payment.
If a club decides to sell, they pay up to the point of exit e. g. 2years of 3 years with the buying club negotiating his new pay and bonus.
Just a Thought

That would cost money my friend
Agree1

Its a good idea but clubs would then take advantage of the players by getting rid of them just before the big payday comes.
football is riddled with money hungry so until they are weeded out this will always happen.
Agree0

Players will do what they do now and sit out their contracts, unscrupulous chairmen can't just sack them.

Yes your spot on mate. I know quite abit about these lads I've seen hem play a few times against my nephew who's in another academy. They are all very good players, defo got the abillity to go a long long way. Plus we have 1 or 2 more aswell (monty gimple / lewi coyel / simon lennigan and the turner twins ) we really do still have a cracking academy. Just hope we can hold on to hem all. Future stars. Mot.

Novel idea;
once we are safe from delegation;
Why not stick the Academy side out for the remaining games of the season!
Now where's my tin hat.

O'leary built a great team from our youth policy before he ruined the team spirit with over inflated money signings
Agree11

O'Dreary built nothing other than a massive debt -the youngsters were all from Eddie Grays and Paul Harts academy that he was lucky to inherit

firstly what is the point in poeleon on loan to sheff utd he isn't getting a game! secondly no manager would want to come to leeds at this time because of this ownwers situation!
Believable9

What is the point of Poleon being at Sheff Utd FULL STOP?
We need a striker so we give away one of ours.

GFH either get your act together regarding ownership of this club or get the hell out. I blame you for messing up our season and you look like you are going to do the same again. By the time we are ready to appoint a manager, all of the decent ones will have gone. And by the way I don't want PDC as he will be grabbing the headlines for all the wrong reason, too volatile. let's let our footballing do the talking not a loud mouth who your sick of hearing. For me its either Gus, Brian Mc or Roberto.

How have gfh messed up this season . Bates messed this season up. Bates has left the club in debt and scared fans away with high prices.
We owe gfh just for removing him from ownership.

"We owe gfh just for removing him from ownership. "
. sadly not true. Bates has a hatful of 'preference shares' which basically means that if Lufc get promoted or go out of business he gets his pound of flash no matter what. Always a worry with him 'advising' on the running of the club.
Remember how much he hates us.
Agree1
Disagree2
Gfh have messed up because of the long drawn out takeover and any one who thinks that they aren't a front for bates so that people may deal with us are just being conned. Think about it he is still chairman and then president come on people wakey wakey.

Bates not even on the Board, don't write rubbish

"Bates messed this season up. Bates has left the club in debt and scared fans away with high prices. "
It may have escaped your notice but Bates HAS NOT left the club!
Otherwise most 'stay away fans' including me, would already be back no matter what.

Read on this site two months ago where some muppet stated that Nigel Adkins met a member of Leeds management in a badged blazer in Dubai and was whisked off to a meeting for what was a done deal! 'Oh how I laugh today' at this same clueless poster. We (LEEDS) are not a big attraction. Apart from a good following the club offers nothing to a manager. No money, No ambition, No support. in fact who are we going to be owned by? After 12 months we still don't know where we are going. Hardly enticing to any manager. We can't even interest the former Scunthorpe club Physio to manage us {Ed013's Note - Adkins did meet with a LUFC representative}

Ed;- The fact that he met with lufc reps doesn't detract from this chaps point. He's right we have, sadly, become a dead end club with no ambition. {Ed013's Note - Of course there is ambition}

yes i'd go for di canio. he will take no crap from people and cert no yes man.
also he cares so deeply about his team and if players could just show the same passion.
id have had adkins as first choice but pdc as 2nd.
i also think mcdermott is decent. reading were a good footballing team and i'd love him to bring le fondre with him. shrew leeds

I'm not surprised Adkins has gone to Reading, I think Di canio will end up at West Ham meaning we will end up with sam Allardyce! Please no, even more hoofball than with NW. Let, s get McDermott at leasst he advocates attractive football and seems a decent bloke. MOT Ron.

It won't be Allardyce - he's sitting down within the week to discuss new contract.

Oh dear, a missed opportunity indeed, Leeds should have got shot of the dinosaur Warnock and snapped up Adkins as soon as he became available, a man who would have been perfect to lead us forward next season in my mind.
Instead we will either be left with a Paolo off his head or someone like O Leary who has "unfinished business" and who has Middle East connections and most worrying, has been out of football for ages. but hold on aren't Peter Reid and Terry Venables available! FFS!

What the hell is going on at Leeds Utd? Gfh Capital
bought the club and now seeking investments. It shows Gfh does not have any money to invest in
new players. How can Haigh and Salem let Warnock
choose his successor? Ridicoulous. Never in my 25
years as a Leeds fan have I heard of this. It now
turns out the fan's favourite Nigel Adkins has been
snapped up by Reading. Paolo Di Canio is the favourite for the Leeds vacancy. No not PDC. He is
not the man to bring Leeds to the promised land.
Either Paul Lambert or Gus Poyet is the man. For me its Paul Lambert. Will Lambert leave a Premiership
club to come to a championship one? ITS ALL YOUR FAULT GFH. Who will want to come to Leeds and
guide Leeds out of this mess? Over to you Haigh and
Patel. MOT.

I have been accused of being negative on here so I will try and be positive
I commend gfh and their loyalty to mr warnock, hope they do the same to the next manager. But seeing as he is departing at end of the season, surely its best to get newey in now, so he can see the players in competitive football and training. Rather than watch videos or have to rely on pre season. I mean some of the players who seem to be struggling at moment might shine under new manager and we may not need to sell as many as we think. Now i'm not saying that tve current manager isn't a nice and very capable manager, it just makes sense to change now,
Believable8
Unbelievable1
As your recent chief critic I must say that is a spot on post - and hopefully GFH will give him more money than Warnock
Agree0
Disagree0
If they get rid of him now they have to pay him off, waste of money in my opinion, could possibly get him in as Warnock's 'assistant' for the rest of the season so he can get used to the squad though.
Agree2
Disagree0
How much would they have to pay him off only as a few mths left on his contract surely that is worth it to get a new manager in who can have an early look for what is needed in the summer. If there is any money for the summer that is?
