missed the interview with Warnock tonight. did he say anything worthwhile? ins and outs? next season's focus?

Believable0 Unbelievable2

27 Apr 2012 22:26:35
Warnock will reveal his "out list" and "keep list" sometime next week, on the out list there is rumoured to be:
Pugh
Connelly
O'brien
Rachubka
Forssell (no new contract)
Paynter (no new contract)
Sam (no new contract)
White (contract declined)
Bruce
Nunez

Believable3 Unbelievable1

Looks good to me if we can find a buyer for all of them lot

Agree1 Disagree1

Why does everyone say Nunez he's a quality player but didn't suit Graysons crappy long ball style

Agree4 Disagree1

Grayson never played long ball did u ever go to a game? Warnock plays long ball! Grayson played attacking passing football. Thats why we were so flawed at the back, the style suits premier teams who have top defenders. Reason we did so crap under warnock is we played long ball, gave ball straight back to opposition. It will work next season tho Warnocks long ball, Coz he will bring the players in he knows can play his system.

Agree3 Disagree2

No place for nunez in our squad as we are strong in his position . he cant play wide as he cant defend

Agree0 Disagree4

I think the list is wednesday {Ed020's Note - can't wait.}

Agree1 Disagree0

Grayson never played long ball! Which teams have you been watching?

Agree2 Disagree0

LB Harte
DM McPhail
RM Snodgrass
CM Bowyer
CM Clayton
LM Pugh
ST Smith

Subs

Becchio
McCormack
Kisnorbo
C.Taylor
Rogers

Believable0 Unbelievable14

Take us down more like stop living in the past there is no pace in that team shocking

Agree12 Disagree1

Look at the ex Leeds players in that lot, your pocket moneys stopped now for coming up with a team like that, get to bed.

Agree10 Disagree0

That is the worst team anybody has ever posted on this site.

Agree11 Disagree1

Old players again.....do you want to progress or go backwards?

Agree0 Disagree0

Believable5 Unbelievable4

I don't believe you but will happily swallow my words if it's true!

Agree3 Disagree0

Now you have put FACT on its clearly true

Agree5 Disagree0

OOOHHH another FACT! The only FACT is nowts for certain till the club has a press release saying it!

lonergan
halford pearce m connolly white

clayton leadbitter
snodgrass mccormack boyd
becchio

subs=lees,green,mills,somma,nimely

anybody agree this team would take us upp?

Believable1 Unbelievable3

No Becchio tho

Agree3 Disagree1

Its good, but needs pace going further forward e.g. DJ Campbell

Agree2 Disagree0

If becchio is still at leeds next season he will score atleast 20 goals so anyone thinking hes pants doesnt know anything about recovering from injurys and getting the match fitness back . bad injury to recover from as you come back a slower player . give him pre season and he will be scoring for fun again.

Agree6 Disagree2

ì wouldnt get rid of becchio as it was an all round team performance that has stopped us from reaching the play offs

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Apr 2012 19:59:39
dont want Beckford back, id rather have Nugent who can score goals in this division, Beckford thought he was bigger than Leeds United and now half of his career after Leeds hes been falling out with manager, throwing tantrums and warming benches up

Believable3 Unbelievable8

And scoring goals. why do you keep coming on here saying he doesn't? check your facts.

Agree2 Disagree0

25 goals since leaving leeds . 10 for everton and 15 for Leicester . hes a player i would have back for his pace and ability to put the ball in the net .

Agree1 Disagree0

You clear don't watch the same beckford I do! Total class in that league. Come home son!

Agree3 Disagree1

Why would we want him what he did was worse than smith, at least we got 7 million for smith, beckford left to line is own pockets!! judas dont want him would rather have diuoff

Agree1 Disagree5

As if Smith didnt lol

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Apr 2012 19:49:38
beckford diouf up front or my god what a strike force we gonner have up they lambert and the rest look out beckford 20 goals diouf 20 goals prem here we come at last m/o/t warnock

Believable3 Unbelievable2

Dont be daft - Diouf has never scored goals - look at his record - if he comes it will be midfielder - rather he didnt come - Maxi is coming back instead

Agree3 Disagree0

Would luv Maxi!

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Apr 2012 19:46:07
Strachan, Jones, Bowyer all had negative reputations in the past never stopped us signing him, come on it could be worse, he could be Marlon King, Jody Morris, Ched Evans etc. give the lad a chance if he joins

Believable5 Unbelievable0

You mean the Jody Morris that we signed, who was absolute garbage

Agree1 Disagree0

27 Apr 2012 18:28:26
I honestly believe becchio will be the biggest name to be sold this year! I see somma as a better player, in my opinion. But he will be back up as as I think warnock has a first choice striker in mind!

Believable6 Unbelievable3

Diouf first choice

Agree4 Disagree4

Theres better than Becchio out there to be honest...Not rated him at all lately.

Agree5 Disagree3

If becchio is sold we will replace him, and i hope we do, diouf will play behind main striker, know one likes him but he is class

Agree4 Disagree0

Somma doesn't challenge for headers. Not bad with the ball into feet and knows where the net is but stil think becchio is the better overall player but last season wasn't his best, saw him have a few shockers but one thing you can guarentee is 110%

Agree2 Disagree0

Dont want Becchio to go, neither Somma (I rate him shame SG didnt), hope Paynter goes personally.

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Apr 2012 18:26:53
why we all worring bout dioufe ? everyone hates us leeds fans everyone hates ken bates everyone hates neil warnock so cmon and join us dioufe we can all be hated together !!!! mot lol

Believable13 Unbelievable2

Spit the dog says it all.he's vile I remember him spiting into Celtic fans.if he was not a footballer he would be in jail.It wasn't long ago in the kop we were singing Dioufs a cu"t his wife's a slag

Agree1 Disagree0

27 Apr 2012 16:39:59
just typed in alan smith and hes thinking of retiering and becoming a coach at newcastle leat this would stop the rumors

Believable4 Unbelievable0

Newcastle fans aint pleased about that idea, theyre saying he should bog off as hes had enough out of them with nothing in return, suppose some of our plonkers will be after him coaching at Leeds when he gets his badge then eh.

Agree2 Disagree0

Thats only because no one wants him!

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Apr 2012 16:18:02
if ronaldo had commited sum really nast crimes or even messi had commited sum really nasty crimes and we were in talks with them people wouldnt care about the crime and i bet we would welcome them to our club with open arms so why does diouf get treated differently you all need to realise that he is a good player and is capable of getting us promoted.

Believable1 Unbelievable3

How is he? What has he actually done in his career? He had a 'good' World Cup 10 years ago, big money move to Liverpool, didn't do much, has then slowly dropped through the levels of teams until he reached the bottom of The Championship, and was 'average' for them, the only reason it sounds like he's still a big name is because he does something horrible every 6 months and gets plastered all over the paper.

No thanks!

Agree5 Disagree2

I agree and he full of commitment!! he could be great for us

Agree1 Disagree1

Because he is the scum of the earth. added to the fact that he spat at Ross and Bruce nearly sparked him, would he be good for moral? or attracting other players ?

Agree2 Disagree1

What like he did with doncaster!!

Agree1 Disagree0

Average at doncaster? he practically carried that team, he did all he could, with better players like clayton, snoddy etc aroud him he could shine, he was quality for Rangers which is about the similar level to the Championship, weve signed wrong uns in the past, Strachan, Bowyer, Jones, so why should Diouf be any different

Agree4 Disagree1

When was Strachan ever a "wrong-un"?

Agree1 Disagree1

Would the players want him in the team?

New Kit

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Like the new kit, but not a fan of the bib looks and Id prefer a different material, macrons shirts are tacky at times.
Looking forward to the away strip lets hope its blue :)

I love the new kit fair play ! shall be waiting to see if we sign diouf before i order it..

JOELUFC

Believable1 Unbelievable1

Yeah can't wait to get Diouf on the back of my shirt :P

Agree1 Disagree0

27 Apr 2012 14:17:39
Is the new kit for ladies only? it looks like something you'd wear in the kitchen.

Believable4 Unbelievable6

27 Apr 2012 13:13:31
Lot of talk down here on South
coast that Brighton are preparing
to make an offer for Snodgrass,
just can't see why they think that
Snodgrass would even consider
leaving a club like Leeds to make
a move to an outfit like Brighton.
Lot of deluded Shegulls around
methinks.

Believable10 Unbelievable4

27 Apr 2012 13:07:54
The new kit looks garbage, they should go back to the 1972 cup final kit, pure white - pure class.

Believable3 Unbelievable8

New leeds shirt up on the OS... looks like a poncho from the side haha

Believable6 Unbelievable3

27 Apr 2012 12:14:09
David Templeton from Hearts would be a superb signing. NW..get him bought and forget Diouff the sewer rat.

I love to hear everyone's rumours, and imagine what it would be like if Smith came back, if Diouf signs, or if Heskey becomes our new signings (3 at the Top of everyone's wish lists I'm sure). but before you get excited, here's a guide that I guess is a general rule of thumb on rumours:

If you dad knows someone who works at Elland Road, It probably isn't true.

If your mate just saw them at the train station with Sean Harvey, it probably isn't true.

If you "just spoke to their brother, and he says he's definitely signing", it probably isn't true.

If Sky sports say we're in talks with them, it probably isn't true.

If you "Heard it here first" it probably isn't true.

If it's Alan Smith, it probably isn't true.

If they're about to sign a new contract, on recent experience it probably isn't true.

If the official site say the deal is done, the deal is done!

MOT

Believable10 Unbelievable2

You missed one ,Ken Bates to bank roll us to the premiership ,probably isnt true.

Agree3 Disagree3

Brilliant - funniest post in ages and so true...

Pleased that the season is finally over tomorrow,it has probably been the worst season of home football that i have witnessed in 35 years of watching LEEDS UNITED..hopefully next season Warnock can give us a team worthy of the fans loyalty.

Believable9 Unbelievable2

Not sure, championship relegation was pretty poor

Agree1 Disagree0

The feeling of being united and getting back up was amazing though.

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Apr 2012 09:55:01
Though I loathe El Hadj Diouf with every fibre of my being, what is not in question is the fact that the boy can play. We certainly could not handle him this season when playing Doncaster. Personally if he signs and gives 100% on the pitch I think he would prove invaluable. After all Lee Bowyer was hardly an angel and we loved him.

Believable7 Unbelievable3

Some things are more important that football. This man is odious, an example of the worst kind of human being. I'd rather have Barn Door Billy than a scumbag like Diouf. He has never shown remorse for his actions and that's where the problem lies. You can only forgive and forget when people show contrition.

For example, how do you think the father of Marlon King's victim feels about him having walked out of prison into a nice, cushy, well paid job without having shown any genuine remorse?

Mr. Warnock, if you are reading this, do not offer employment to this man please or I will not renew my season ticket after 2013 and I suspect there will be many more like me.

Agree5 Disagree3

Grow up its a player so your trying to say that you will stop cumming to the club because we signed a player you need to chill out and get a grip because if diouf scored the winning goal for us to be promoted back to where we belong and we were singing his name at ER im pretty sure u would love him too and sing along.

Agree1 Disagree2

1 player would decide whether you renew your season ticket? im not a season tickey holder but what kid of fan are you? its one player, like OP said, Bowyer wasnt an angel, neither was Strachan or Vinnie Jones but we loved them

Agree0 Disagree0

......... - they didn't spit on injured players - he's vile. The only people who need to grow up are those who consider this acceptable - football is not above real life. Some of you people have no perspective.

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Apr 2012 09:40:13
Why does everybody leave Ross McCormack out of there 'predicted team for next season or on the bench ? He is a much better all round player than Becchio and that has shown this season with his 19 goals compared to Becchio's 11... Not saying Becchio isn't good enough but I believe McCormack needs to be given more of a chance and us Leeds fans need to believe in him and have confidence in him.

Believable9 Unbelievable2

To be fair becchio was injured and took months to regain his fitness .its not as easy as you may think coming back from an injury

Agree3 Disagree1

27 Apr 2012 09:22:19
Someone had a great shout on here. I've been a Leeds supporter since i was 6 which is 47 years and we've had some players join us in the past who we never thought would fit in, one being Gordon Strachan especially where he came from another who caused some eye brows to be raised was Vinny LUFC through and through Jones and look at the legend he became ...... If Diof does come he'll be a Leeds player and will deserve our support as anyone wearing the whet shirt should get from us. Just my humble opinion but one in feel is valid

Believable8 Unbelievable4

27 Apr 2012 09:14:26
Players I would like to see coming to Leeds
Gunter, Mills, Peace

Believable7 Unbelievable6

27 Apr 2012 00:19:02
I dont care about what diouf has done in his past, he is a quality player....good finisher, winger, crosser. He could be player of the year for all we know. Lots of footballers done far worse than him, like stuff which puts you in prison for 5 years and these guys still get a contract when they are released. Id defo take Terry on a free, unrealistic but same rules apply...if a player helps our club in any way i will support. MOT. Vinny.

Believable5 Unbelievable5

I couldn't agree more

Agree3 Disagree3

What would worry me would be Dioufs effect on the dressing Room

Agree3 Disagree0

Paul Robinson has recently said he hasnt seen many dressing rooms that get on as well as our lads do. Diouf might stir a few things up

Agree1 Disagree0

If he didnt like them hed spit at them :P
