if the takeover falls through expect 1 of 2 thing happeningexpect 2 of the 3 to transfered in january becchio mcormac or white to balance the books or leeds to go in administration dispite funds being pumped into the club from the proposed new owners the money failed to reach the transfer kitty and they refusing to pump any more money into the club untill takeover is complete

Believable2 Unbelievable6

To go into administration you need to be in debt that you cant service or in danger of going out of business for some other reason. Neither is the case with LUFC.

Agree2 Disagree1

Dont talk rubbish, were in better shape than most clubs. We got money but the chairman is unwilling to spend it. Vinny, MOT.

Agree3 Disagree1

Why would we go into admin? We don't have any debt? We don't have any money but we don't have any pressing debt.

Agree4 Disagree2

If we run out of cash then we'll end up in administration. Companies have ongoing liabilities such as wages which have to be met and if income doesn't match outgoings a wage bill can get out of hand very quickly.

Also, we do have debt. Bates took out a mortgage to fund the East Stand redevelopment which he secured against the next two years' season ticket sales. That means the season ticket money is going straight to the lenders and can't be used for salaries, rent on the ground & TA etc.

I don't think we'll go into admin but I except to see the likes of Lees & Byram sold in January if the takeover doesn't happen.
ML

Agree2 Disagree1

We have no funds for transfers . sounds to me like we only have enough to pay the players wages that we have got already but how many yrs worth of wages . either way once we cant afford to keep paying the players we will be off into administration then who knows where we will head . we need to really hope that we get promoted this season with what we got and then bates will leave . this season up or next season we will battle relegation

Why not get rid of yorkshire radio. that would save a few million

Just an attempt here to allow a bit of humour for the Leeds United supporters.

Now talk about a takeover, The Los Angeles Dodgers have new owners headed by Magic Johnson. Over the weekend they made a deal with the Boston Red Sox (Liverpool owners) and took on "wait for it"! 1/4 of a billion dollars worth of guaranteed contracts in a player trade. Now I don't even think Ken Bates could pull this one off. Well maybe he could if he sold his penthouse and yacht. Just a bit of humour. If you think about it Ken Bates is just one person. One day he will be gone. We just need to support the real Leeds fans, the manager and player. We need to keep reminding ourselves how important we are to the Football Club. From one frustrated Leeds United supporter in North Carolina.

I like every other leeds fan have been following the "take over investment" since it first broke, like many of you have searched the internet for the smallest morsal of information, yet the saga still goes on...the mail ran a story saying women can keep a secret for 47 hrs ( i could argue that one, but wont) the Americans have increased their keeping things secret budget to 11.36 billion dolars. most governments cant keep secrets for very long, even wikileaks are clueless to this take over...do anyone think The Master Bates man is pulling another fast one. anyway M.O.T...ANOTHER WHINGE OVER, so bloody frustrating.

BATES caring about Leeds ? Come on guys get real. Bates is a businessman who is trying to get top buck for HIS business. There is no emotional attachment for him and his thoughts are entirely based on £££££. Our lives are different and entirely focused on our emotional attachment. We support the team playing and the manager and by singing, chanting and terrace support WE CAN CONTROL RESULTS and where we end ultimately end up. Forget takeover, forget money cus new owners alone will not deliver the atmoshpere and support that we can. WE CAN INFLUENCE THE GAME BIG TIME...MoT

If yu ever wanted proof that mr Bates reads and joins in this site see below his comments against my accusations of being an unfit and proper individual for the position of chairman of our club. The difference will be clear to see when hopefully the potential new owners eventually take over. Quite simply because all the supporters whom refuse to line your pockets come flooding back and we get full houses for every game. Your not as astute as you like to think mr Bates because had you have supported our club with adequately and not pocketed the profits you'd have received the same loyalty as the new owners are going to get, and your profit would have almost doubled without trying. Speculate to accumulate was never so true with the fans and supporters of this great club. Your penny inching will hopefully be the undoing of your sir. Please enjoy your profit whilst you can as the one thing you can't buy is youth.

Believable8 Unbelievable3

Hi, can one really be "unfit and proper" at the same time? No, did not think so.
So the owner of Leeds, a businessman, makes money from his business.
Please keep that to yourself, it could catch on.
Accuse: "charge with wrong doing."
If you have evidence of the same, then you are surely obliged to bring it to the attention of the relevant authorities, if not then it must be assumed that what you write is your opinion, something you are of course perfectly entitled to.
P.s. good tips for making money, you should write a book.

Agree1 Disagree1

I don't know if this is bates or not but what a proper door knob. The person who should be in charge should have lufc running through their veins pumping in their hart to feel what it's like to be the butt of everyone's jokes and the one laughing the most is bates himself. I don't expect him to feel the way I feel because I'm a 'moron' as our beloved leader calls us. You master bates have made our lives for the past couple of seasons hell you have tried your very best to strip the club of all it's assets and value before you leave because your a business man this is football as well as a business pls just sort this whole load of nonsense out and release control to somebody that will take our club forwards go buy a bigger yaht or penthouse or both and let us 'morons' love and support a club that is defiantly goin to go up or one that might on a shoestring.

Look i know it's a fact that warnock has got some better players now than we had last season.but we still have same problems we had last season.by that I mean bates and by the fact we are still quality players short to really get up.whetherthis takeover ever happens who knows, personally I doubt it but what happens if becchio or mac have injuries.who then? If we get nobody within this month in attack and a right winger of some quality then we could struggle to keep up.remember all games this season have been settled by the odd goal.goals win games and I just hope we are not caught short..shrew leeds

In my opinion we should have never signed Andy Gray. He's old and a very average player who's a waste of money. I know we got him on a free but we could have freed up more money for loan signngs if we hadn't of signed him with his wages. This is the same with danny pugh, what a waste of money. I would have kept Robbie Rogers as he is a tricky and pacy winger which we are in need of, and sold danny pugh and not signed andy gray. I would have nunez in the team or at least on the bench with Byram and Poleon there aswell. We'll also get Somma back in october who's better than gray as a squad player.

Just as the football league have a fit and proper rule that new potential owners must pass, surely there must be a code of ethics as to how you behave whilst an incumbent chairman. So far mr Bates have brought the club into disrepute through his personal wranglings in court which has cost the club substantial funds, he is now in a well advertised take over bid where he is holding us and the new owners to ransom and still refusing to sign although a previous deal had already been reached and agreed. Surely he must be breaking every fit and proper rule in the book through his shady dealings and despite him being domiciled abroad his business activities in the UK where income will surely effect corperation tax the inland revenue should be interested as to his dubious affairs in this country and run the risk of having his directorship suspended. Why is no action from the ruling body of the game intervening. Mr Bates if you don't sign I hope you get everything that's coming to you because you surely have not behaved in a fit and proper manner.

Believable27 Unbelievable5

Hi, Ransom:"release from captivity by payment." I hope you are getting regular Red Cross parcels.
The owner is at liberty to conduct his affairs as he sees fit, I would wager he has enough nous to stay on the correct side of any laws regarding taxation on revenue.
It is as well you can hide your allegations behind the screen of an anonymous post on a web site.
If you have any evidence of what you allege, knock yourself out and report same to the courts, HMRC and the FA.

I am just happy to concentrate on the affairs on the pitch.

Fifa cannot sit by and see greed rule the football world. Nor shall we.
Sepp Blatter, he must have forgotten about mr. K Bates when he said this. lol...M.O.T

Agree1 Disagree2

It's always people like this, that keep getting away with sly, dodgy dealings. The man is killing are season, aswell as are club. We have a massive chance here to march up the league. Every other chairman is putting a little money into the club. Mr Bates not only refuses to put anything in, he also refuses to put the money in that is the clubs ie; player sales and profit from over the years.
We are not asking for much. Even 2 million towards the squad would give us the players we need. He's happy to invest are money into the facilities but a fraction into the playing squad. Which says one thing to me, greed not success.
When he sold Chelsea, it didn't take half aslong as this is doin for us. He cares nothing for us and why would he with coments he's come out with before.
This man will be forever at are club, if he's still has is lemming followers. He's like a cancer that needs cutting out.
I will march to the end of the earth for my club and what is right, just tell me when and were.

Agree4 Disagree3

The difference between the sale of our beloved club and that of Chelsea is:

Leeds are a commercially viable ongoing profitable business with very little or no debt for that we have to thank Len Bates

At the time of the Chelsea sale they were in debt to 100s of millions and facing a winding up order Chelsea would have been closed down and liquidated immediately 24 hours after the sale to Abramovich had fallen thru.

Agree1 Disagree0

Hello there mr Bates the good thing about rumour sites is they are indeed anonymous but at least from the people who have agreed with me you will know it is our joint feeling that you do deserve nothing but our dislike and distrust. If you ever cared anything about our club you would let the new people come in and give Neil their 100% backing that you never had any intention of giving LUFC has been nothing other than a cash register for you to plunder.

Agree6 Disagree1

Perhaps the supporters should report Mr. Bates' activity to the Football League?

Agree4 Disagree1

Little or no debt? What about the loan for the East Stand redevelopment secured against two years of season ticket sales?

Profitable? Only when player trading is taken into account. That's not viable in the long term is it Mr. Bates?

To tell you the truth, i can wait a few months for Bates to sign. Aslong as the man goes and go he should. I feel Warnock can keep us in the mix till Jan. Then we can get the quality we need and really push to the top, in other words do a Reading. I just want to see the back of birds eye, once and for all.

LUST stating it is infact KB delaying the takeover and has been for a while.
Buyers HAVE made payments into our club and are still bery keen & patient to see this through to the very end.
Takeover or not WE R LEEDS UNITED !
MOT lets get behind the team regardless of outside world
KB can't live forever.
We can't go under if we boycott games when there's prospective buyers

These people must really want us because if it was anyone else, they would be long gone. This hopefully is telling us, that at last the right people are coming through the door atlast. Someone up for the fight and i think now is the time to push togeather and make him jump. These people want us bad and by showing we want Bates out, will only show them we want them in. We should sing Bates out! Takeover in! Throw the weight of are support behind the takeover. Then they will know, all we want is change for the good of the club, are club!

Is that the same LUST who in fact said two weeks ago that the deal is dead?
Why is it that if you're anti Bates you can just about say any old sh!te, and not back it up?
Yet when you try and have a reasonable debate, and balanced discussion, about what Norman's done for our club you get slaughtered and accused of loving Bates and wanting to spawn his children.
In my opinion LUST are clutching at straws to keep the rabid anti Bates brigade on side.

'Is that the same LUST who in fact said two weeks ago that the deal is dead?'

Yes it is and the deal was dead, only hard work from all parties throughout the day revived it.
In my opinion you are a Bates supporter and anti Lust. You and others like you are gonna be shown for the fools you are when the truth comes out. I bet we will not hear much from you when it does.

Agree5 Disagree1

You tell me jedburgh. Who wants the club to be successfull again. Who wants to see some quality in the squad.Who wants to see change for the good of the club and this season. From where im standing none of these apply to Bates. you replyed to a comment i made earlier about Bates, with the notion he'ld spent 10 million. Which led me to believe, how much do you really follow your team, by which i mean in detail, not the sh=te that comes out of Bates's mouth. If you carn't see by now that Bates is happy to invest in the ground, which means more profit, a radio station, which again is more profit and the rest of the adventures. Who is this profit for jedburgh? The team. I just don't see it from were i'm standing. From were i'm standing, he's useing the team for profit again. The only people who are not in profit, are the fans. We pay top whack in this country to watch the team we love. Just have a look on how much other clubs charge to watch there team. Then look at there squad and ares and tell me thats value for money.
Bates took half the time to sell his beloved Chelsea. Why take so long for us. The reason is, he has no love for the club to be all it can be. He hasn't put a penny of his money into the club. So he can wait as long as he wants. He knows he will always be in profit.
These takeover people want us bad. Why do you think that is jedburgh because they see a club that can be one of the greats again. Not a club that nearly went out of the league alltogeather with a 25 point deduction. The man didn't save us, he nearly buried us.

Are you daft? We can't go under if we boycott games when there are perspective buyers?? Ok so a guy interested in buying a sarny shop walks in to see it empty...the guy says I don't want to buy a shop that won't make f*ck all!!

You can argue that we will all go back to Elland road once takeover is complete etc etc but purchasers are based on figures and if figures are down offers go down and if offers go down Bates pulls the plug! He has everyone exactly where he needs them so that he can make the decision that is right for him...

What we need to do is take the matter into our own hands...b******* to all of these bullsh!t protests...we need to stack 30,000+ into Elland road, week in week out so WE can show the investors what they have in store for them!! MOT!!

Thing about all the stuff above though is that Bates isn't even that good a businessman. As someone used to reading balance sheets I can cut through the cr@p pretty quickly and the idea that all these side project are making a profit isn't true at all.

Yorkshire Radio alone has made an operating loss of 1.5 million to date. The stand has been funded by mortgaging two years of season ticket sales. Legal fees are now estimated at 4m after the Levi debacle although the victory against the police will recoup about a million of that. None of this will help the club get promoted and this is just the tip of the iceberg. How much have the Pavilion and the high-end restaurant cost us? It's my wedding anniversary at the weekend. Will I be taking my wife out for a romantic meal in the culinary mecca that is Beeston? I think not.

Bates claims the club is healthy and profitable but in real terms the club has made an operating loss every single year since we came out of administration. Those losses have been met by what is euphemistically referred to as 'net player trading'. What that means to fans is the difference between player sales and player acquisitions. In other words, player sales are funding Bates's reckless expenditure on everything from lawyers to restaurants.

The bottom line is this, our money, instead of going into making the team better, has actually gone either into making the club more saleable, to fund Bates's feud with the BBC or to fund his litigation habit. In the long term that means that most of the money will end up in Bates's bank account.

The one organisation doing something about it is LUST. LUST is also a democratic organisation and anyone can join and have their say for a fiver. I fail to see what harm LUST can do. If you disagree with what's being said, join up and say so. As I've said before, try going to the LUFC boardroom and having your say and see what happens. Anyone spouting anti-LUST views on here is entitled to their view but I really do wonder how many of them really grasp the issues? I know that it sounds patronising but some of these issues are highly technical. Most of the anti-LUST bile on here seems to be a pretty mindless regurgitation of the Bates propaganda machine's output and very badly thought through.
