Im struggling with the recruitment strategy guys? Radz is a super smart business man. But just maybe football is very different from media. For a while there I’m thinking all this young talent from all over is a sign Radz is in it for the long game, great right? But now I’m wondering just how many players can we buy, accommodate who are far from being ready for the first team? That just makes us a football academy/factory but then if your brand Leeds United is faltering losing too often where will all these players be destined for? Seriously someone help me with the strategy? I can buy evennaccept foreign owner seeing a bargain and turning into a huge profit but that demands playoffs as a minimum and promotion for the kerching moment! So conspiracy theories aside someone help me out here are we going for a Guinness world record for largest under 23 squad or something? We’re going to give other teams some of our players at this rate. What’s the deal if I could understand it maybe I could stop blaming Mrs class

You send them out on loan. They do well get bought for 200,000 and you have a profit.

We will be the poor man's Chelsea with that strategy

OK we are looking to the future after. But what happens if lasogga and Roofs get insured. Bottom line need a striker for the ere and now not 12 or 18 months time we could dip into the loan market there's no excuse don't want to part with wages less money towards a nice yacht our club is not there priority

Agree Marko we knew at the start of January the situation and yet here we are with only days left and nothing. We should have signed a proven goalscorer weeks ago they could have bonded with others in Spain and all be ready for the Hull game. LUFC are so frustrating

Then hopefully we get to make a claim with a small excess Marko and it pays out!

Just a thought. We have supposedly announced that we are not bothered about signing a striker, at roughly the same time as Posh state that they are not bothered about selling Marriott unless we pay what they want for him. Possibly two sides in negotiation and posturing a bit, trade union and management stylie. "We're not paying that! ", "Well you're not havin i'm then! " Who knows.

What did Victor Orta say to the guy standing next to him as they watched an U-15 game and witnessed a 9 year old score a hat-trick one with his left peg after rounding the keeper, other with his right having nutmegd half the opposing team followed by a diving bullet header and then in the last minute he hit the crossbar with a terrific free kick that Sheridan or Beckham would've been proud of?

I hate town but when you look at what they have achieved with a chairman who loves his club. and a proper firm tuning the club. Then fair play to them just hope we can be as ambitious as them one day

They are model of club who keep it simple. We complicate things by comparison.

Hi all. Some of you (primarily you Whiteman) might need to take a chill pill before you read on. I have just read a report that Leeds are no longer planning to buy a striker during this window. because we cannot afford. I do not know how reliable the site is, but having lit your touchpapers, i am going to retire to a safe distance.

He is spot on, teams that we played in league one are now in the prem, all very well Having a so called 5 year plan and nurturing the future stars, Just no ambition for the here and now.

Absolutely Mezz we look at other clubs and wonder why the he'll a club our size is still here. We just need a cup. of ambition and the players grow some and we will go up.

Understand what everyone is saying, but up until now look at the instability we have had in terms of ownership, management (because of ownership) , and playing staff (again, owners) . We have the greatest stability now, than for the last 14 years, so let's give them a little bit more than half a season, eh?

27 Jan 2018 17:31:25
Well said Bright, another half a season left and we are hanging in there (admittedly only just) a good 4 or 5 weeks and the doom and gloomers will be posting their claptrap elsewhere hopefully.

27 Jan 2018 17:37:39
4-5 good weeks! Have you seen the fixture list?

Agree0 Disagree1

27 Jan 2018 18:25:42
Yep, that's why I said a good 4 - 5 weeks and, if it happens we'll be we'll placed, if it doesn't happen then the doom n gloom brigade will be happy.

Clap trap, doom and gloomers. Sorry mate at wanting our team to do well and improve. Love Leeds and always will, don't mean i am not going to voice when I can see the bleeding obvious. And I Would love you to be proven right, I would happily hold my hands up. But let's not blindly follow a dream. I can agree that we still have enough games left this season to reach the play Offs, but unlikely with and how the team are at present. We are buying lots for the Future, but neglecting the present.

It's clear we all want the same thing, with the only difference being patience, and a willingness to give the new regime, who have done so much already, a chance to deliver on their strategy. We all see the same issues, but it's about realising that we don't have the resources of a Man Citeh, and they can't all be fixed by magic! Realism.

Agree0 Disagree2

27 Jan 2018 20:24:52
Agree we might not have the resources, even more reason to use what we have/ had to invest in the current squad when needed and not just invest in the future. Even now the team is crying out for a goal scorer But we continue to buy young future players who can't help the Current team. This weeks badge re branding fiasco shows how out of touch with what the majority of the fan base want. We are often told that the fans are the most important part of any club, but they not listening. They misjudged the re brand, let's Hope they do a better job with the future. We all want a strong, Competitive Team.

With the clock running down on the transfer window we don't seem in any serious hurry to strengthen or resolve the first team striker problem. The hierarchy at the club obviously have a different agenda with the continued policy of stockpiling for the future. With this week's badge fiasco showing how out of touch with the majority of the fans, some of the people surrounding AR really are.
