On the OS, I know there is a lot of stuff going on at the moment with the takeover administration etc, I do think we should be also putting up a positive and its nice to see how are academy is doing at the moment.

The club's Academy has been named in the country's top 10 for developing young talent.
In the recent audits undertaken by the FA as part of the Elite Player Performance Plan, the club's Academy is the sixth best in the country for producing players who have progressed to first team football.
The club has a proud history for developing young players and of the squad which travelled to Bournemouth on Tuesday, Sam Byram, Alex Mowatt, Tom Lees, Aidy White, and Lewis Walters have all progressed via the club's Academy.
Senior Professional Development Coach Neil Redfearn said: "As Head of Leeds United's Academy, I would like to express my immense pride and congratulate every member of our Academy Staff.
"It is an outstanding achievement and one which will stand our football club in good stead for years to come.
"I would also like to thank and congratulate our manager Brian McDermott for having the foresight and vision to integrate our current crop of young professionals into the fold.
"Our football club has a proud tradition of developing its own players dating back to the great Don Revie and is something that is essential to the DNA of our first team moving forward."

Well done LUFC and Neil Redfearn, producing a lot of good players who hopefully where the shirt with pride.

Just some opinions on the appeal after I've had a few, . thought i'd share them with you. The position of the people hearing the appeal is very interesting, they are effectively making a decision on wether or not leeds goes into administration or not, as there does not seem to be any viable alternative offer other that Cellino's on the table. The appeal panels decision will tacitly either ensure leeds survival in a business sense or condemn it to administration. The aparent need to appear strong on football governance is quite possibly going to backfire if indeed a negative decision arises from any appeal. The FL, in denying Cellino's bid have to ( but probably won't) acknowledge their complicity in pushing lufc to the brink of financial ruin whilst a potential buyer with proof of funds in place and a track record of running a football club well and making a profit is waiting to run leeds. I thought the fpp test was to do away with poorly run and heavily indebted clubs and in part to get football finances onto a proper footing. My only hope that the irony of the situation hanging over Leeds is not lost on those hearing the appeal and that common sense prevails and we can get our football club back under reliable and trustworthy stewardship, which I believe MC will bring, in spite of his apparent flaws.

As an aside I think it is very interesting and also ironic that Bates decides to stick the boot into GFH. This after he borrows a shed load of cash to build corporate boxes into the east stand that we did not want/need; bled the club dry during his ownership ( or should that read "ownership"?! as no one actually knew who owned the club for years); took us into administration when he had more than enough money to keep us afloat and could have invested but chose to fleece us all instead and fed us a diet of rubbish for ten years.
Really don't want to hear that persons opinions on leeds, . he doesn't care one jot for any of us.

BATES Goat OFF FOR EVER!

Thank you all, mot and goodnight.

Ed, please put this on banter rather than questions to stimulate debate. Worse Leeds owners? Silver for selling Cantona for a pittance to at the time our arch rival enemy? Unforgiveable! Board reporting to Publicity Pete for chronic overspending? Bates? GFH? Birch and the Prof Mckenzie don't count as they were administrators. I'll go for GFH because they are liars as well as inept. Bates was always going to pinch from us and didn't lie too often. Every day there is a new lie with the Bahrainis. They couldn't score in a brothel just to cap off their abilities. Worst manager is no debate. He's the manager right now.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I'd forgotten McKenzie. Thanks for reminding me. Or possibly not .

Agree0 Disagree0

No coincidence that apart from worst owners and manager we have the worst midfield in living memory.

How I would love MC to win his appeal, which he has very good grounds for. Just a theory but I think the FL were hoping MC would walk away like he said he would. As I understand a QC is a barrister with crazy knowledge of the law. (Correct me if i'm wrong). So hopefully nothing to do with the FL members and they have no say at all. Vinny.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

F you look at the statements coming from the various quarters it ain't looking good, it says the case is being viewed as a major test of the rules that govern ownership of FL clubs and PL clubs.A dept for culture, madia and sport spokesman said, both the government and fans asked the football authorities to take a strone stance in relation to club ownership, also adding the footballleague and premier league have done that, and we back the toughened rules on club pwnership, and most telling statement reads we and the football league and the FA have worked closely to develop robust governance rules and they should be applied when appropriate, looks like were dead in the water then

Agree0 Disagree0

Stick your son, aunt maggie, uncle fester in position as the named person and just direct them to do as told. Pretty basic stuff so I just don't understand why Cellino needs to walk or feel frustrated. Of course its nice for your name to be on the wall but I think were all well aware of how business is really done. GFH need to go. just a waste of time. Showed true colours as a flakey bunch of wanna bee's with no financial clout to even break even

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Mar 2014 22:16:18
Stupid idea I know but if Cellino has so much money why doesn't he buy EL for starters to Cat the fl off that action has nothing to do with them surely

Agree0 Disagree0

But if Cellino fails to buy the club then we owe i'm rent for the ground as well as paying back £6M that he has already loaned us.

If we are forced into administration. I wonder if we could take the FL to the high court? Claiming it was there fault that we are in this predicament? Food for thought does any one think? Especially the Leeds board. Or will they have considered this allready . And cellino has mentioned it to the FL in his appeal papers? Worth thinking about anyway. Especially if we do go into admin. And the wilderbeests deduct us points

A Cheer you up joke ED.

A woman and a baby were in the doctor's examining room, waiting for
the doctor to come in for the baby's first exam.

The doctor arrived, and examined the baby, checked his weight, and
being a little concerned, asked if the baby was breast-fed or
bottle-fed.
'Breast-fed, ' she replied.

'Well, strip down to your waist, ' the doctor ordered.

She did He pinched her nipples, pressed, kneaded, and rubbed both
breasts for a while in a very professional and detailed examination.

Motioning to her to get dressed, the doctor said, 'No wonder this baby
is underweight. You don't have any milk.'

I know, ' she said, 'I'm his Grandma,

But I'm glad I came.

Failing to sell Ross looks a little silly now. We have not learned from our mistakes. GFH were devoid of intellect when they started taking orders from Cellino before FL gave their approval. 8.5 million could have funded several months pay. Was a safety net opportunity they scuppered. Grant you that we would have had less points and be fearful of relegation but I'd rather need 3 points on last day of season than to find 2 million pound in 72 hours otherwise admin. GFH and McD blind leading blind. I can do better job.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Ken, just stay off this site, your now welcome. btw hows yorkshire radio doing!

Agree0 Disagree0

If we had have sold Ross, I doubt very much that the profit would have been used to fund wages or asset the team in anyway.

Agree0 Disagree0

And we would in all likely hood be bottom of the league if we had sold him, his goals have bagged us 24 of our points this year

A replacement may have got a few goals too but judging by the success of BMDs other signings, I don't think it would have been too many

Agree0 Disagree0

If we'd have sold ross we would on the way down to league one

So if we go into administration then the administrators sell the debt/club to the highest bidder. Does this person need to pass a fit and proper test? I presume so but I can't remember ken bates going through it.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

How did GFH pass the FL test? They are liars and don't have sufficient funds either that or they are taking money? Why didn't the FL lock them ED?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed013's Note - They had clean slates with proof of funds. If I had my way and was the FL I would be putting them on trial!}

Fit and proper test yes but not as closely examined by FL because club in financial distress and buyer coming in to save but with most admins the buyer will be a pre-packaged deal I.e. the buyer will be pre-destined like cuddly Ken last time. No doubt some person in this hilarious panto which is LUFC will get his hands on the club. Haigh? Ken? Flowers? Farnan? But not Cellino. I still say Cellino will win his appeal and takeover the club in mid April. Said that for a while.

Agree0 Disagree0

Hope you're right. It all just stinks of corruption if you ask me, Harvey, Bates Flowers, Farnam all in it together. Cellino has the funds he has run a footy Club for years ok he has been found guilty of tax evasion of a yacht wtf has that got to do with running a football club. GFH got no cash and they pasted yet we could o into admin

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Mar 2014 16:31:54
Clear that flowers was wrong man for Leeds. Come out that he asked Bates to join his consortium with a 1.5 million investment. Flowers knows what we think of bates so good riddance to flowers and Haigh the liar.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

In light of the above, makes me wonder just who & what were the real reason for Flowers WUP was it to force Admin so his mate Bates could enter the fray? & also now that Flowers is indirectly linked to the TL bid is KWB indirectly linked also?

A right pit of snakes is this!

You want him. no you don't. you want him. Peltier is finally going to Forest, just a thought though, you need a manager too don't you, please take ours!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Do you and all the anti-McDermott crowd on here really believe that any manager would have been able to do a good job with all the cr@p going on behind the scenes?

And please don't tell me it shouldn't matter and they should be playing for the shirt and the rest of it. They're professionals not fans and anyone, in any job, would not be able to perform properly with distractions such as 'am I going to be able to pay my mortgage?' going through their minds. Championship footballers are not so well paid that they don't have to think about money, especially the younger ones.

I don't believe any manager would have done a better job in the circumstances. That's not to say I think BMcD gets it right all the time. Sometimes the tactics and selections are baffling but I really don't think changing the manager will change anything on the pitch with things as they are. Anyone who things otherwise is being naive and blinkered in my opinion.

We've done it twice in a couple of years and like I said to all the anti-Grayson people on here when they were calling for him to be sacked, be careful what you wish for. Changing the manager again will achieve nothing. In any case, who would want the job? Really, who?

Agree0 Disagree0

That is just an opinion mate, my point on BM is that he doesn't get the most out of what he has or plays people in their positions for gods sake.

We are not good enough for top 6 granted but are you really telling me that playing Hunt as a winger, or not reacting to what is happening on pitch by not using subs that often and getting beat 6-0, 5-2, 4-2, 4-1 on a regular basis that no other manager could do better? Just play players in their natural positions, strengthen the midfield, don't keep going back to the likes of hunt, pugh, brown, stewart who just are poor, try quicker youngsters that we have, ain't rocket science.
DG

Agree0 Disagree0

I think you're missing the point. The players, whoever they are and wherever they're playing, are clearly not focused on playing football.

I think the comments on playing out of position are pretty irrelevant. Anyone who's played football at even a decent amateur level knows that most players are adaptable and can play 2 or 3 positions.

Like I said, some of his decisions are baffling but we don't know what's going on behind the scenes. Is he being forced into playing hunt wide because the natural wide players are not in the right frame of mind? Let's face it, ER is not an easy place to have a bad run of form and some of our fans can be pretty vile towards our own players quite honestly. I've felt compelled to give some of our 'fans' an earful when they've been 'supporting' our team of late.

I've been watching players who are scared and lacking in confidence and I don't think the manager, any manager, has the power to overcome what the players are going through at the minute. We should also remember that the manager himself has been disgracefully treated and he's probably spent more time worrying about his job than the team and who can blame him?

Changing the manager right now will achieve no more than sacking Grayson achieved. Absolutely nothing. I understand why some people think differently and I respect that but I think they're wrong and they'll be very disappointed if and when it happens.

Agree0 Disagree0

I go to most games, we have been playing the worst football I have seen for a long time, absolute clueless tactically, that's if you can fathom out what formation/ system he has instructed the team to play, Can't defend, can't pass, can't even do the basics, in fact the best performance I've seen this season he wasn't in the dugout.

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree changing BMD won't make a blind bit of difference. The club, from top to bottom, is in a total mess. And those who say play youngsters havnt got a clue. We want to shoot down their confidence as well? At such a young age a player needs to be handled carefully and put in the team gradually and not when all this mess is going on. We just have to pray we get out of this mess fast. MOT.

Agree0 Disagree0

"I go to most games." You say it like you think it makes your opinion more important. I go to all games and have been to most games since 1970. So what? It doesn't make my opinion any more valid either.

Yes the football is awful, but do you really think that what's going on off the pitch has no bearing on that? Of course it does.

The manager is proven at this level. Some of the players are very good footballers at this level too. It's the club, and to some extend the boo boys in the crowd, that's the problem.

Changing the manager will not solve this club's problems and the last poster is right; throwing a bunch of kids in at the deep end will probably destroy their careers.

Agree0 Disagree0

Good Post. I agree I think some people believe that a new manager will come in and wave a magic wand it ain't going to happen, no matter who came in the situation is the same!

I'm totally gutted.
We are in admin on Monday.
The club are in trouble today and I'm working hard with many friends to stop the rot.
Leeds Utd needs to be well run by Leeds people who actually love this wonderful football club.
We owe it to people like Don Revie and his boys who made us great.
I will die before I give up on Leeds United.
Jeff

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Thought you were a big Cellino fan? He's not exactly a Leeds person is he. You could be right about going into admin but I don't think that really needs any inside info.

Agree0 Disagree0

Can you clarify ed13 please. if we do go into admin on monday does that mean it will be a points deduction next season and will be more than 10 points like last time

Agree0 Disagree0

Jeff I've had enough of your scare mongering. I'm not being rude and don't have anything against you, and also respect that this is a rumours site. However I'm fed up of reading comment after comment which you make that has no truth or reflects reality.

You know nothing more than me or any other fan, yet make out that what you say us gosbal.

Rather than spreading negative thoughts and making other leeds fans feel depressed and down, try to be more reserved and consider other outcomes.

Administration is always a threat to any profit making organisation, but look at the facts, GFH would rather pay a few million to cover running costs to desolve an asset which they are tying to sell 75% of for 25m.

Keep the faith and keep united. If worst comes to worst now or at any point in the future, we still have each other as fans, and will always March On Togeather!

{Ed013's Note - Apologies J.Paxman, I wasn't aware there was a post waiting for me. The answer to your question above is that if admin is called on Monday then next season there will be a points deduction.

I don't know this for sure, but I would be very surprised if GFH put the Club into admin as it would affect their main business and lose a massive amount of trust/credibility in the business world}

No probs ed13. I am aware that the rules were changed(because of bates) so that you can't go into admin at the end of the season knowing that you are safe with a 10 points deduction, but will be punished the following season with a bigger punishment

Agree0 Disagree0

If Jeff/Survivor knows Administration is coming Monday then Cellino knows as well.
Therefore rather than rush to take Club over he could wait until goes into Admin and get much cheaper if he can win appeal. He couldn't be forced to honour existing agreement if Club in Admin.
Why lodge appeal now rather than next week after go into Admin.
Don't think Admin will happen!

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Mar 2014 06:27:18
As you say cellino would be better off if he won his appeal he would get club cheaper out of administration however if as most people expect he loses the appeal he would also lose all the money he has loaned Gfh if we went into administration

Sports mail understands that at least one group is circling to take over with Haigh busy trying to broker a new deal in the background. Cellino has declared that Leeds need 'help, blood and money in hours not days.' If the wages are not paid by 5 o clock today administration and a points deduction beckon. Come on come on :(

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Are you right about this. Why do the wages have to be paid by today at 5 pm. Not all football clubs will pay wages on the same day. With my work I used to get paid the last Friday in the month. Now it is the very last day of the month. The FL cannot dictate when a club must pay the wages of players as long as they are paid in the month.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed013's Note - The Cub has to avoid administration today}

Haigh cannot do a deal with anyone else whilst Cellinio appeals bear in mind he had signed a deal to buy 75% of the club.

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Mar 2014 12:29:09
Not really a transfer rumour, but wanted to share my view on things.

So let's get this straight, in effect Cellino was knocked back by the Football League, due to failing the fit and proper persons test, which is almost certainly (without the sugar coating) down to this tax evasion stuff blah blah blah. let's remember that this man was funding Cagliari for OVER 20 YEARS. Surely that has proven he is more than capable of not just funding, but actually running a football club. However, that's not the point i'm making.

How can GFH Capital have passed this 'Fit & Proper' persons test (as they call it) when it was made perfectly clear that they were not willing to run the club on their own? their plain aim was the find investments from anywhere they could. Surely this doesn't coincide with the 'Fit' part of this test, because although it may not be in black and white, it surely means that they do not have the kind of moneyt needed to fund a football club. It's common sense, if you don't have the money to at least sustain a football clubs status (if not enhance this) then you simply shouldn't be committing to buy it.

This point may seem stupid, but it's the way i'm looking at it. Opinions welcome.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

This is prerty silly, ghf r a publically listed investment bank obviously they can proove funds lol them not willing to put money is a different matter all together

Agree0 Disagree0

Nothing stupid about your view it seems common sense to me and fully agree.

Agree0 Disagree0

Farnan cellino flowers and pearson together 25% each

Agree0 Disagree0

Cellinos appeal has gone in and its reported the FL are well aware of the financial predicament Leeds are in and its hoped it will be resolved in two weeks, I would suggest Leeds United is now a test case and if Cellino allowed to take control the backlash from the media etc would be way over the top virtually ensuring Cellino can't take over, GFH are nothing but pickpockets and haven't got the decency to tell the best fans in the world what's going on, an absolute disgrace, wouldn't suprise me to see Bates sat in the directors box again shortly, having denied any wish to be involved again, our great club, and fantastic fans deserve much better than all this crap, but Ill STILL be there on Saturday, MOT.

Just heard a rumour (plenty of them flying about) if the players do not get paid by Monday there is a ten point reduction I hope this is not true perhaps ED will clarify this

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed013's Note - They have until 5pm today to avoid a points deduction this season}

I'm not suggesting for a minute that the wages won't be paid to all staff but why are you so sure that we lose points if they go in 5 mins late.
Ed13 I know you must have checked this thoroughly but it doesn't make sense.
What if the bank has a computer problem as has happened many times before are you suggesting that loads of clubs would lose points?
Help me out on this one please.
Jeff

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed013's Note - The deadline for loss of points is this afternoon. Anything after that will be given next season, so if Leeds go into admin, then next season will start with a minimum of a 10 point deduction}

The points deducation doesn't have anything to do with wages. We could miss the wage payment and still be ok providing its paid very quickly.

The points deducation is only if we go into administration. We have until 5pm to do that today. It won't happen

Crmd

Agree0 Disagree0

Glad you cleared that up. I thought ed13 meant we were going to get a points deduction this season. I am right in thinking the wages are due tomorrow so if that is the case we are safe from a points deduction this season

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Mar 2014 15:38:38
Would it be possible to use that 50 million raised by sport relief to feed Noel hunt next month if he doesn't get paid?

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed, Can you confirm that what you are saying is that as long as we don't go into admin by 5.00pm today = no points deduction this season.

but after this cut off point admin = 10 pts deduction nect season?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed013's Note - Correct mate}

Ed013, please confirm that your comment about points deduction does relate to going into Administration and not for late payment of wages.
Strictly speaking the wages aren't due until tomorrow or Monday so won't be unpaid at 5pm as they aren't due to be paid before then.
I hope this is the case as we don't need a points deduction to drag us closer to relegation battle!

Agree0 Disagree0

May be someone will know the answer to this question. As a business ( a badly run one at the moment) and could go into administration plus not paying players wages legally how does the football league stand when they have stopped a take over. Also can't the players union get involved because they are there to protect their members. I can see this situation causing problems with the football league because the man may be guilty of a tax charge (unproven by Italian law because of the appeal) but he does have the funds to run a football club. Also who at the fl will be looking at the appeal, just remember last time when nearly all of them voted against us so it hardly seems a fair system.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

The football league in my view nay be breaching company law rules. If mr cellino is not disqualified as a director or shareholder in another eu member state(Italy) how can be automatically disqualified in England. Secondly company law states that an appeal on a court conviction puts a stay on disqualification. A director normally become disqualified if a company goes into liquidation owing loads of money to the creditors. In this case mr Cellinio's funds are keeping the club alive. The football league should be challenged. It's their procrastination which has the club in the current predicament. James

Agree0 Disagree0

The Football League isn't bound by company legislation. It is in and of itself the legislative body and all previous attempts that I can recall to challenge its authority have failed; our battle over the 15 point deduction being a case in point.

There are a lot of people whining about the FL and how we should challenge them on here. There really is no point. Cellino failed the test and I can't see him winning the appeal.

It's time for fans and, most importantly GFH to accept it move on. GFH need to stop pinning their hopes on the miracle of a reversed decision and start to look elsewhere. The longer they hold on to the Cellino dream the more likely we are to go into administration.

It has been stated by Mr K Bates that GFH came to him to borrow £1m to help pay their way, he refused, that makes me really concerned about GFH's ability to raise revenue to pay for the running of the club. In the same article he stated that he was approached to chip in £1.5m to help the ill fated consortium bid after one of the team bailed out.

It was only a few weeks ago that GFH advised that they would continue funding the club until a majority stake in the club is sold.

David Haigh then advised that there is no way Leeds would go into administration.

It seems GFH were relying on Cellino funding the club for a period of 6 months however now the FL has refused the deal Cellino has stopped funding the club. And why wouldn't he? can't blame him.

What I can not understand is why the hell would GFH expect anyone to continue to fund the club when their deal to purchase Leeds has been thrown out. GFH don't have a pot to piss in. I fear the worst!

Also I recall Bates saying he is leaving the club in good hands. Didn't he say there had been a number of bids for Leeds but he opted fro GFH as they could take Leeds forward. Yeah right! Bates lined his pockets and GFN are taking us to League One.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

GFH do not have a Leeds pot to wee in but are spending millions buying property in London and other places.

This is what Salem Patel, head of investments at GFH Capital, said: "We believe the prime central London residential real estate market will continue to perform strongly. However, we also see value and upside potential in other real estate markets such as the US and we expect to make additional investments in these markets as well."

GFH Capital has undertaken and structured investments of more than $3 billion in over 40 companies and across 25 countries.

This must have been the funds they showed to pass the FPP test to get the club but they are not putting any into the club.
ED is it true they are taking the loans out as Leeds United thus all the debt? why go to people like KB wife if its true. They have money? or has Leeds United been used for them to get a foothold in the UK.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed013's Note - I believe there is some truth and sense in what you are saying}

27 Mar 2014 08:00:42
This is a serious question and i'm hoping for some sensible answers here, although that may not happen.
If it was another club in our situation say SWFC as similar size club and local rivals, they were well in debt, struggling to pay the players and close to administration and we were doing ok not great but ok. Who would be happy if someone like Cellino took over them. I'm thinking this page would be covered with lots of people unhappy that the FL have just let someone who is guilty of money crimes takeover a football club. What if Abramovich was buying Chelsea today, again I bet a lot of unhappy people on here. And yet we are the ones in that situation and we are begging the FL to let a convicted criminal take over us. Think about it from the other side of the fence for a short while and see how it looks and why the FL cannot break there own rules and allow Cellino to take charge.

Papa Smurf to buy us again? Haigh blatantly caught lying! If you can't afford wages. no money to fire McD who is clueless, Cellino appeal useless. This is divine payback from Majestic nightclub incident. Club never recovered after that because city of Leeds never repented. League One in August?

Hasn't anyone here realised yet that this is one big conspiracy?
The FL failed cellino because they had too, to make them themselves look like they were doing the right thing, and to not make a mockery of there own guidelines.
In the mean time its all over the press what bad shape leeds are in, and the weeks prior to the FL's verdict it was no secret that cellino was pumping in millions to leeds, the media have had a field day on this so far haven't they? keeping everyone in the know, making cellino look good, and its working so far.
So don't be surprised when Cellino's appeal goes according to plan and we get a statement that reads some thing on the lines of :
"The committee in charge realise that the FA ruled in good will and in compliance with its own guidelines, however recent news of LUFC's financial situation leave us with no alternative other than to overturn the FL's decision as we feel the alternative would be a worse outcome for Leeds utd."

This goes all the way to the top guys, beyond the FL and even the PL, or the FA. results are going the way there going not because were crap, its because we'v been told to.

All this is just my opinion, but i'm not usually wrong and if you look at the course this hole thing is taking you can clearly see it all taking shape, orchestrated with fine precision.

Yes, its awful at the moment but I honestly do believe that good times are around the corner, whether or not its all been done above board and is legal, well what goes around comes around.

Dear FL, Our previous FPP, morgaged several years of season ticket sales to buy some corporate boxes. He set up numerous companies in tax havens, sold all our best players to fund the day to day running of the club, before preceding to sell the club at a profit. For himself obviously, not for our club. Our current FPP's have recently re-capitalised their bussiness to the tune of $250million. They own property in Mayfair, Kennsington and Chelsea. Yet despite this they refuse to pay the wage bill of our football club. They insist in taking out loans (at large rates of interest) not in their name, but in the name of Leeds United, leaving us with the debt for their incomitence. Our previous two months wage bill has been paid by the not FPP, Mr Cellino. Our FPP's are asking the unfit and not proper, Mr Cellino, to carry on paying for the running of the football club, which you would not let him buy. I ask you this, what constitutes a FPP. Leeds United Football Club is one of your members, it has been run badly for over a decade, yet as soon as someone wants to run the club the way it should be, you do not allow it. Leeds United are no ordinary football club, we are loved around the globe byoordinary football club, we are the last FL champions. We are aloved by millions, yes millions around the globe

I too had a similar thought but then I thought.nah, it couldn't possibly be true. or could it?

Agree0 Disagree0

I find it hard to believe that we have an entire club engaged in a precisely orchestrated "put up job', not least because if the team could play to such orders then we would be top of the league and everyone would be happy, deliberately playing badly to lose, without making it obvious, is as much an art as playing to win, anyone remember the awful piano playing of a certain Mr Les Dawson, a trained classical pianist I understand, and the ramifications of such would mean the club would be thrown out of the league and banned for x seasons. Like you I think there are plenty of twists and turns to come before a positive outcome and people coming out of the woodwork (KB) and others are being backed into corners and there appears some brinkmanship happening, oh the murky world of corporate finances eh. Then again you could be right and as I said in a previous post not too long ago, doesn't everyone love a good conspiracy theory.

Ed, can we remind fans who haven't already done so to sign the petition to submit to the FL.

Wow 442 signatures out of how big a fan base! Our fans are really desparate to get Cellino in, not. Either they realise we the fans have no say in the matter or more probable that a lot of fans don't want him

Anybody watch the Liverpool v Sunderland game tonight?

Seriously couldn't believe Wickham just stood in the middle of the pitch for most of the game doing nothing constructive. Poyet took him off in the second half and his replacement scored a goal, almost got another and turned the game around. Should have been on from the start in my opinion.

Think we are better off without him, he obviously has his own itinerary.

I am also beginning to wonder about Butland, surely this is no coincidence.?

Just found out the reason for Sunderland calling back Connor Wickham is the fact the Leeds never kept up payments for the lad. He wanted to stay but poyet had enough. Sad sad times. Hope the players get paid tomorrow!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

From his contribution last night I'm pleased he went back, I thought he was a statue at one point?

Agree0 Disagree0

They called him back to play as they were short of players, hence why he played so stop making things up
