Are you even a Leeds united fan if we can not pay diouf who is already at the club wants to stay and playing well to finish it off really want planet are you on thinking we could afford there signing on fees let alone weekly wages

With the exception of Owen (only if he's fit) Diouf is far better than any of those players as he has different attributes to the other members of the squad, which gives us balance to the team. He could also win us games out of nothing (like Snodgrass did)
If Jarvis was worth £10 mill (daylight robbery) then Diouf (when match fit and without the attitude) would be worth near on £20 Mill even at 31 - Remember if you look beyond the attitude, there is a real quality player whether you like him or not.

Free agents are free. Infact just as if not more expensive than transfers. Free agents ask for big wages and sign on fees as they know the club isn't paying a transfer fee. Warnock said we don't have any cash, so where does the money for these "frees" come from then

I'm not sayin that this would ever happen but hypothetically, if Joey Barton decided a transfer to another English club would benefit him after his move to France failed, would you welcome him to Leeds. On the one hand he is a decent player and a certainly a character, on the other hand he's a liability and you don't know what he's going to do next.

He would be brilliant - shame it won't happen (his wage would be extortionate)

It's a moral dilemma tbh but I would not care any free quality is fine for me diouf Barton kewell any of them for the benefit of the club

Barton is a complete Kn**jockey who has had far more than his fair share of chances.
He would however be much more welcome than that Oz ****er Harry Tool who would be in more danger of harm from his home fans than any opposition he might face.
Harry Judas is extremely loathed by some circles here and I believe he would be in REAL danger of physical harm if he ever came back to ER.

I will probably get ripped for this but if Neil wants a striker who runs the Chanels,Holds the ball up when we are under pressure, like we were at Blackpool. I would go for Heskey he has always been fantastic at these traits.I know his finishing is poor but I think he could get us 10 goals this year and earn us points when we are under pressure. Mark my words with this squad at times we are going to be well under the cosh. Piquione (according to a lad who supports donny)
Is also very good at holding on to the ball.Becchio is a good finisher but his hold up play and his link play is poor and at times it invites pressure

I said the same last week about heskey not the player he used to be but would if been able to close the blackpool game out people who slate him need to get a better understanding of football and see a fowards job is not just scoring and before you come back saying i have no understanding i played for sheff united untill i was 19 then in to chesterfield before the painful decline to non league

I would give Heskey the number that represents the amount of goals he'd score and his rating out of ten which is a big ''0''. he is a very poor mans Mark Viduka (Viduka being a Maclaren F1 - Heskey being a childs ''Big-Wheel'' tricycle) In fact I'd take Viduka today over him, even if he does weight a metric ton he'd still score more .

In reply to becchio is a better player.no1 if Becchio s all round game was as good as you say he wouldn't be still at Leeds. No2 watt games have I been watching about 30 last year. No 3 has Becchio played at the highest level. Watts that no. Why not I ask u ? No3 next time u go to a game if u do analyse Becchios link up play his first touch when reviving the ball with his back to goal. Count the times he links play. I have nothing against the lad,he is good player but better than Heskey has ever been is wrong top managers have paid millions for him over the years.

Breaking takeover news!!! Whilst wearing my Leeds shirt driving down the m1 in my van I managed a successful takeover manoeuvre. That's about the only takeover that's happening for anyone in a Leeds shirt.

Still got stung on tickets, speeding.

Anyone ever thought this. Ken Bates, seeing how support dwindled last season, knowing and seeing the anti Bates movements at Elland Road, opens the doors to negotiate with potential buyers, publishes all the due dilligence / negotiations / takeover OS posts to try and get season ticket sales up (cos i think there's something in the fact that season ticket holders had their usual window to buy, and then were also offered another unusual mid summer/mid takeover opportunity to buy), the carrot - that Bates is no longer there and maybe a more fruitful situation at Elland Road. Fact could be this, he knows he's heading out and has limited time pulling the wool over your eyes but, hey, just one last chance to pocket a few Leeds United coppers. Maybe, just maybe, he had never been intending to sell? Warnock, us and whoever is sat in the negotiating room, paying out of their own pocket for the due dilligence process - maybe we are all been taken for one last ride - the big spin. It's just been a way to get people to purchase season tickets?

Do you people ever shut up. Season ticket sales are down, the fans are not stupid. Now give these dumb theories a rest please.

Where are all them fans claiming Becchio wasn't good enough anymore? I know your out there, come on where are you. Four games in to the season (including the cup match) and he has 4 goals to his name, these people who slated him generally judged him on last seasons stats without knowing he was injured for the best part of the season, Morons! I agree, I've always liked Beccchio and rated him highly, just give him the right pass and he'll score.

Yes he's scored 4 goals , but if he missed them 4 chances he should never kick a football ever again. im not saying he's a bad player but most of his goals are put on a plate for him. {Ed013's Note - I rate Becchio highly and to score those goals he had to get into the position to score them. Yes he falls over a lot, but at least he gets back up which isn't bad for an Argentinian}

Bechio is quality but he did let us down last year. he was told to have op and delayed it hence having no pre season. he was off the pace and not at his best.

His work rate is 2nd to none, always back helping the defence! NW 1st name on the team sheet. Give him the supply he ll score the goals. He cost less than Berbatov & he scores more goals!

I for one last season thought he'd had his day. I've seen him three times this season and I still think he looks unfit. BUT, unfit or not I take my hat off to him. He is a great goal poacher and with the right players round him he'll get over 20 at this rate

Becchio in book when fit is one of the best cf in the championship and we got him for peanuts. Another thing, the lad as stayed loyal to us, that is priceless.

Lets all look back and thank the man that brought us unknown talents such as Becchio and Snodgrass....- MR GARY MCALLISTER -the poor man who got the sack for doing far less wrong than Grayson or Blackwell did.

Rose tinted lenses and ignorant of the facts. Grayson got us promoted then finished 7th in the Championship. McAllister failed.

McAllister may have spotted a few decent players but he was clueless as a manager. Trying to play pass and move with lower league players on mud baths ends up with losing to non-league teams.

Hi Ed's it has been reported that the potential new owners of Leeds United have indeed funded some of the summer signings, well if this is the case surly the club would have set aside a figure for potential signing and wages for this season, similar to the amount that was stated last year for Grayson to use of around 9.5 million and along with the extra monies that have been recouped by the sales of Snodgrass and so fourth, if indeed we have used the new money from potential investors and not used the clubs money where has this money gone and why cannot it be used for some descent signings to back the squad up? it cannot have all been used on wages and transfer fees as the players that have left equal the players that have come in so the wages would not be that much different to last season in reality, so where has this yearly allocation of clubs money gone? any ideas?

The 9.5 mil that bates wanted grayson to spend was on transfers and full squad wages ,not possible for a promotion challenging team in league 1 never mind championship. what we need to be spending is more like the 12.5 mil but on a 23-25 man squad meaning we can pay higher wages but we have bates and he wants best of both world . less players to pay on less wages . this guy lives in the 90's still

Is there any way we can contact the Football League to put pressure on Bates to sell? it is clear he doesn't have the clubs best interests at heart, year on year selling our best players for small sums that vanish from the accounts, and not reinvesting where it matters. We are done being his pension fund, we are Leeds United.
