Nor are Brentford, but he has made a few good saves too!

Fair play to the boy. only been at the club for a couple of days. Does not know his teammates yet! Forced a draw with a very good attack minded Brentford team.

Wimbledon v millwall next round of the cup, oh dear!

Police have moved the date of the fixture to accommodate the attendance of a number of crack commando military units. Better safe than sorry.

Judging by their forums, Swansea fans are rather displeased that this kid is coming to us. If they were chuckling or indifferent I would be worried, but they seem really quite peed off. Superb! for several reasons.

Alun Curtis was a god down there.
Andy Robinson had just taken them to promotion
Remember that kid, Grimes? No neither do I!

I worry about Swansea produce, does it travel well?

28 Jan 2019 19:38:43
Grimes was a product of exeter axe. He just plays fkr them but exeter have the credit of his devolopment.

Bartley also came from The Swans and he did alright.

Robinson was not utilised properly at all and got out of shape.

If a player is valued at £12m at that age they are clearly highly rated so we would expect Swansea fans to be a bit miffed. plus if it happens it demonstrates that they are willing to let talent move on which we know from our own experiences is frustrating.

Just read a report. We have not had a full squad to pick from since pre-season. Unbelievable! and we are top of the league. We would be out of sight without all the damn injuries.

From Hockaday to Bielsa. Can any other club boast a greater contrast in such a short time span. You've got to wonder how some of the other prospects we have had would have fared if he had Bub sooner. Where would we be now?

Champs League Kiwi.

If James is worth 10mil then he better come with 2 guarantees.
15+ goals from the wing and certain promotion. I know I have faith in Bielsa but I am sure there must be equally as talented players out there for less money.

Leo 8 goals and 8 assists a season would be acceptable for the price tag.

Trust in bubba

Look what’s he’s done with the squad from last season

If he thinks this kid is needed/ can be improved I don’t doubt him.

Agree1 Disagree0

28 Jan 2019 18:51:25
From what I have read, Biesla is the one asking for him. Blimey, if he can make superstars out of the players who were so dross last season I can only imagine what he is going to be able to do with a player he see potential in

Bring it on.

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Jan 2019 18:55:11
With George and Woody on this one. Yes he looks a bit of a rough diamond, but MB has proved the effect he can have on players. Think that longer term, he will prove to be an astute signing.

28 Jan 2019 21:22:27
Bub hasn't asked for much or many. He has taken last year's rag tag under performers and turned them into Championship leaders despite having so many for so long on the treatment table. If Bub says he wants him, get him.

28 Jan 2019 16:38:32
How good is this Daniel James anyone?
Is he worth £6mill rising to £10mill?

If Bub thinks he is, then yes, although I had never heard of him till all the talk started.

28 Jan 2019 18:56:57
And with the delivery and brain too George. And another young gun! If the £6m rises to £10m based on promotion, which we achieve, then he’ll be a bargain!

In other words, a Sacko that can pass, hopefully to a teammate, and also score a few goals 😁.

Agree1 Disagree0

28 Jan 2019 21:27:51
If Sacko could use his feet for anything other than running like a gazelle he would have commanded a starting slot every week and a legendary fan following. Alas, he could not. not his fault. he tried hard but just didn't have the skills. Hopefully this one has.

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Jan 2019 21:57:35
Controversial I know but. I’d have played Sacko through the middle

He’s got pace to burn and although he can’t cross, he did look like he could finish

If someone really worked with him on that, there’s a decent player somewhere.

Agree0 Disagree0

29 Jan 2019 09:09:40
good point Woody - no need to 'square it' from the middle.

Thanks to LUTV just watched U23s v sheff Utd. Bit of a disjointed game and thought SU had a few good chances second half but a win is a win. Having not really seen him before I was impressed with McCalmont in midfield. Everything was neeat and cannot fault his work rate. I probably think he would be best served going out on loan for a season to get a first team experience but certainly a bright prospect. Also the performance of Aapo Halme made me again question why he wasn't utilised these last few games when we have been short at the back. He was dominant in everything he did. I can understand with Brown why they may say he needs more U23 games to get match sharp but the tempo of a U23 game is chalk and cheese to a first team match so, maybe (not Saturday) give him a first team second half, see how he goes. Those were my thoughts but I defer to the expert in U23 games. Spanish, what did you think.

28 Jan 2019 15:22:37
Thanks Leodis, I missed the game live today, car in for service and not ready on time! So lady to catch the live feed when I could. I agree with what you have said about Aaapo, I think he shown enough to be ready, and his height really helps in defense and attack. I think he is getting better each game.

The good thing about Izzie is that he’s scoring. He looks very laid back sometimes and not sure if that is just his natural style or a sign that he’s not yet up to speed.

What was Roberts like in the first half out on the wing and Oduor? He got the assist didn’t he. I always like the look of him.

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Jan 2019 15:47:44
Roberts is getting better every time I see him, and looked good in parts again today. Brown is also getting better with every minute imo. Agree re Mcalmont Leo. I like Odour too; he shows some lovely touches, and has great, quick feet. I only saw the first half tho, but glad we held on for the win!

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Jan 2019 16:32:54
Last week Bielsa indicated Brown would need 5/ 6 games in the U23's before he was fit enough for the first 11 so that's about 3 left to play.

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Jan 2019 17:01:02
Brighty, together we can make a full review. I missed most of the first half, inc the goal. So not much to say on Roberts but Odour had a decent game second half.

I would try Izzy as an impact sub for first team for a couple of games till he is fit. Scores enough.

Izzy whizzy and fairly busy?

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Jan 2019 14:07:23
I think the same as some have already posted before about importance of signing some experienced players this window.
Would like to see Andy King (Liecster) who is out of contract in summer, Cahlivero (wolves) loan, think these two would give us some more options and depth for promotion. IMO

Barry Bannan had a great game yesterday and box to box MF, from what I have seen of him he would improve our team. IMO.

28 Jan 2019 15:19:32
Yes, Bilko. I hope the scattergun approach is finished now. For me the way forward is every open season just bring onboard one (maybe two) QUALITY players and slowly grow this machine into one that will hold its own in the Prem.

28 Jan 2019 16:00:31

28 Jan 2019 20:41:41
I actually believe Bannan style would work a treat under bielsa. Quick passer who always looks to play forward. Last time he was average at best but as we all know certain players can be improved massively under bielsa.
