We must keep our powder dry folks. The season is not over so still a chance to gain a few more places before May comes. Then we will see the task ahead and where we may need to buy in. Unless you have a large parachute payment or the plan to throw money at the problem then the bargain basement is more like our shopping venue. If your finances are tight then you have to shop at Poundland, no matter how good you think John Lewis might be. Overspending is most likely to end up only one way. We have been there and it's not much fun is it. So even more now we have to hope that commonsense and lessons learnt prevail. That if big money is spent it is done wisely and on just a couple of known players. We have to pray that most of us were wrong and Ortas young guns policy was the way to go, as we will be relying on them to step up to the mark. Just think the exciting times ahead if we do go up with an average age of 22. In the meantime shopping abroad is still the place for a bargain if we do our homework so whilst we may tout British it usually means competing with the big boys. If we found Samu and Pontus maybe we can just turn up a couple more.

You mean drop a few more places because that is our direction of travel .

I have to say at the start of the season had we not signed Sacko, Kilth, cibiki, lonningan and the other excuse for a goalkeeper then we could have used the wages on two half decent players . It's not about how much they cost other sides with far less resources have done better than us . We always knew losing Bark would be a big lose and never replaced him Cooper for me is a bench player . Green should have been retained and given a player coaching role . Are loans this year have more miss than hit, only Lassie looks worth a punt if and only if the price is right as I still believe we can get better

If we have to PA, then so be it. I don't think we will make the play offs this year so what difference does it make. It makes Heckys decision that much easier. Experiment, give the young kids a go. Eyes now on the summer and next season. You are right, we are heading in the wrong direction but so long as we avoid the bottom three then let's see if part of the answer to our malaise is already on the payroll.

Im not keen on John Lewis to be honest, i think its overpriced. My local shop is a Waitrose which is also overpriced and then Sainsbury's which is a bit more reasonable but still too costly in my opinion. I prefer Morrisons which is a good balance between price and quality but my wife prefers M&S - go figure. Poundland is false economy as everything in there is rubbish or smaller versions of what they are in other shops. apart from the Meerkat sweets which are amazing.

Thanks Alf didn't know about the meerkat sweets will try some tomorrow.

Lol Alf! I hate all supermarkets, and shops of any sort for that matter, but my wife loves em, and if she can come back with some shite on sale, that we don't need, and will never use, she's delighted. think she'd make a good director of football?

Just hope Rads and Kinnear read this blog, because it will let him know what the true lifelong Leeds supporters think. Rads needs to be informed what the fans really feel about what is going on . Not a sanitised version from someone more interested on staying in a job than saying it as it is. Currently it is a mess and needs sorting because if it is not sorted what will it be like next season. Talking about top six with a team that has won one game this year. There should be a statement from the club apologising and letting everybody know that the squad will be invested in properly. Not a sales pitch to try and sell more season tickets.

PA it would be nice if he would look on this site to get a true reflection of true honest fans not from spin doctors around him or the so called fans they canvassed about the badge design.

I'm confident Rads and Kinnear are on this site all of the time. I think Rads goes under the name 'Ausman' and Kinnear is actually 'Mad Mick'.

Well after having a season ticket for over 25 yrs I have decided to hang fire instead of renewing, I am going to wait to see what the club does in the summer, I have to say the last 3 months has been dire and that's being polite, if needs be I will pick and choose my games next season, if the club shows some ambition, and for once we keep our better players as opposed to selling them then I will pay the extra money and invest in a season ticket again. it pains me to write this as I have followed the team everywhere during that time but it's got to the stage where the football is spoiling a good day out with the people I go with.

Like you Leeeee I think it is wise to hang fire until more is known. A good indication can be given in the remaining games with the best signs pointing forward would be the first out of the blocks in the summer and pick up some quality signings. Not many because I believe some of the young guns will step up and show their worth during April.

We need a Centre Half, Def C Mid Field, Striker and 2 decent wingers in as first choice players who are of a really decent standard, along with the best 6 players that we have for to make a starting 11 . We need to then before the summer window closes bring in cover for any gaps in the squad and in the January window we need to strengthen any gaps again or we have no hope of competing. Rads is now in year 2 of his involvement with the club and coming up to his 3rd window and we are not getting any better in fact we are going backwards.

Heck says today he wants to "create a team in his own image" according to Sky Sports. Does he mean he's going to become godlike and to start cloning himself or will repeat the Barnsley "success" of this year? Roll on Bolton demolition on Friday.

Believable1 Unbelievable3

28 Mar 2018 16:29:12
He had better hope his team can beat Bolton on Friday, he has had enough time know to show us what his teams will play like. If we lose then for me it is Heck out time. We do not deserve another season like this one and the last one.

Hope you read this Kinnear, talk is cheap, we have heard it all before, while you try to drum up ticket sales. A club our size with a big loyal fan base and you talking about only targeting a play off place . You have got to be joking. Think you are doing more to upset people than to encourage fans to buy tickets. Its the same old, same old, from another executive at the club who has presided over another abysmal season. Despite all the misgivings think MC made a better job of it than any others over the last 14 years. How are you going to turn around one win this year into a top six team . All the teams who beat us this year won't fear playing us next season. Get a grip and put the investment in.

Believable3 Unbelievable2

28 Mar 2018 14:50:07
Yep. I think they realise sales will be down cause of current crap team and are BRIBING fans by promising the funds to buy players. Load of crap. We need about $20 mill to make play offs. Idiots.

He said that season ticket sales were similar tot his time last year, which I find hard to believe, as there was a sense of new optimism this time last year, whereas now there seems to be a sense of despondency.

Sounds like Kinnear is on a Sales Drive. To say a club of our size is targeting the Play Offs is not what I want to hear. It should be Automatic Promotion for God's sake, backed up with a plan to achieve it, not just words to try and keep the fans on side.

The biggest decision for any football club is the manager. Get that right and the rest will follow. There has to be great due diligence on the man and the decision has to be 100% across the board. After this thro thick and thin the board have to back him to the hilt. There will be thick but more certainly there will be thin but thro it all the board must remain strong. It will take time to impose his style. It will take time to find and recruit his players. It will take time to mould his team. Think back to how close Fergie came to getting fired with a losing team. One goal saved him and results started coming and look at what happened there. Hopefully Radz has done his due diligence and if so there should be no talk of getting rid until he has been given sufficient time. It is still not quite his team, playing in his style. We are not Barca, City or United. We are a mid table Championship team with a restricted budget. A big fish but only a small pond. Sadly we can't all be managers of our beloved team, so let's give Hecky (and Radz) the benefit of the doubt, continue to back them and look forward to next season. After all, as supporters of Leeds that's what we do best, Live in Hope.

Can't blame Pontus for wanting a meeting, he is too good for a mid to lower champ league team as we are now. He could play in premiership and I just hope he can be convinced to stay and that AR will bring in proper players. He needs another strong CB with him and could be a great defense with Pearce/ailing? Also same with siaz, unless we get offered a big price, but again he needs players to help him as he trying to beat 4 men when a fine pass into a pacey striker will be better. Get rid of lassoga if he wants prem and invest in quality. As we have all said, use these last few games to try young ones (kun, Rey, Clarke etc) . Seems like PH is slowly doing this with BPF and Pearce. Still if I had my way get rid of him and try for Silva with assurances of money to spend, like the way he plays and be easier for him to get the better players, don't think PH will do this.

Is it time to play young young gun Temunozkhov regularily in the U23 team. If he is so good at his age group does he not need stretching and testing before the next big step.
